Gianni Brezzo - the Cologne-based jazz affiliated project led by producer, multi-instrumentalist and musical maestro Marvin Horsch - inaugurates his 2022 with the stunning single "Il Sole".
The track is a perfect sonic voyage that encapsulates the growth of Gianni's sound. Subtle, yet lush layers of synths, horns, strings, keys and a strong, beat-driven percussion all ebb and flow together, bringing to mind the finest Library Themes of Piero Umiliani, Sven Wunder, Janko Nilovic and others.
Accompanying the track is a gorgeous video put together by Jakarta label mainstay Robert Winter and the DIE OTTOS crew which rides a visual wave around Marvin's relationship to Italian culture. Footage is derived from Marvin's now-annual visit to see his grandmother.
Following on the heels of Gianni's 2020 EP "The Awakening," the single "Il Sole" is the first single from his upcoming full-length LP - an absolute knockout - so keep your eyes and ears peeled! Announcing Friday, March 4th.
