"Recently, I was invited to a bar with a few friends. One of the friends I have liked for a long long LONG time. But she has always had a boyfriend. When we went out, she told me about how terrible her boyfriend treats her and how he cheats on her constantly; but she is still with him. This made me so angry because she literally deserves the world. And to know that she has to put up with his shit is heartbreaking. So I wrote "Tell Me" about that instance. In a nutshell, the song is basically about letting her know that I can treat her right and she can leave him and I will be able to make her happy."
