Hip-hop is a genre of music that originated in the United States in the 1970s and has since become popular around the world. It is characterized by its use of rhyming lyrics and a strong emphasis on beat and rhythm. Hip-hop music is often associated with rap, a style of vocal delivery that involves speaking or chanting over a beat or instrumental track.
