Canadian startup One True God (OTG) delivers a moody electronic remake of Kanye's now-classic hit "Love Lockdown" as his newest independent release. The new track is perfectly representative of OTG's signature style, which centers on minimalistic and yet dramatic sonic thematics with a twist of dark rhythm. The now Los Angeles-based singer & producer's soulful voice serves as a powerful conduit for West's original lyrics, and fans can clearly hear that One True God has a personal attachment to the original song itself; in fact, the remake was a product of his relationship struggles he was facing at the time of working on it. One True God has been an active producer since 2018, but first appeared on the scene as a singer via "Come To Me," on mau5trap, where he captivated listeners with his powerful vocals. Much of his sonic style is built on emotive, darker thematics such as the challenging parts of love and romance, paired with angsty bass elements and mid tempo melodies. His affinity for dark vibes has been a part of him since childhood; he was always attracted to characters with a nefarious side, such as Spawn, Blade and Venom. Although spending most of his childhood in Canada, he went to high school in Dubai, to which he accredits much of his global taste. With releases like "Love Lockdown," serving as a follow-up single to his earlier "Tesla," "Afterlife," and more on the horizon, we can't wait to see what's next for One True God.

‘In Your Eyes’ channels several key elements of some of the most renowned club records of the last decade. Its potent bassline carries a striking prominence from the outset whilst an instantly memorable lyrical arrangement steers the track from end to end. Swedish Producer, DJ and Subtractive Recordings label boss Johan S (Johan Strandkvist) started in the late 1990s as part of the legendary DJ collective Swemix that also included the likes of StoneBridge and Dennis PoP, working with numerous house classics from Robin S and Todd Terry, to name a few. Some of his more recent releases have come on a wealth of largely credible House imprints, including Toolroom, Defected, Simma Black, Roger Sanchez’s Undr The Radr and Demuir’s Purveyor Underground.

While feel good house music is the best way to describe the sound of Johan S, he’s no stranger to pop music either. Johan is the producer behind the multimillion-selling singles ‘Crying At The Discoteque’ and ‘Sexual Guarantee’ by Alcazar, and he also takes writing and production credits on Alcazar´s first two albums.

From his humble beginnings as a DJ to co-founding and acting as Editor-In-Chief of the cutting-edge electronic music magazine NocturnalMagazine.net, Toronto native Andy Reid has been at the forefront of house music internationally for more than two decades. Reid’s label Phoenix Music landed an exclusive deal with the US House icon Todd Terry to release carefully curated updates to his iconic catalogue, and now later has amassed millions of streams and a wave of commendable chart successes across Beatport and Traxsource. As a producer, a milestone moment came for Reid when his debut EP ‘That Sound’ was licensed to revered NYC imprint Nervous Records for remix by Mr. V. Since then, Reid has gone on to remix such top tier artists as Todd Terry, The Shapeshifters, David Penn, and Adam K, and collaborate with renowned artists like Hatiras, KPD, HP Vince, and now Johan S.

Perfect Havoc has been cooking up a storm of its own over the past few years. Its trademark crossover dance sounds alongside club focused records have generated the label over 3 billion streams. French electronic duo il:lo announces that they have signed to Nettwerk (Ark Patrol, Dreamers Delight, Hermitude) and make their label debut with the new single “Soldiner.” Comprised of producers Dejan Dejado and Andreas Schültz, il:lo creates an angular, yet airy deep house blend with expansive builds and mesmerising textures.

“Our new single Soldiner stands out from previous releases and marks the beginning of a new era, a musical production resolutely turned towards deep house which is more on electronic elements,” the duo remarks. “We wanted to grab the listener with powerful leads and soulful arpeggiators. This track is an emotional journey with a joyful start, intense body and final resolution.”

Producers Dejan Dejado and Andreas Schültz prove that two heads are better than one. After meeting in Prague in 2010, the duo formed a fast musical connection that spawned their dynamic and sprawling electronic act il:lo. With Dejado digging into unique samples and Andreas the editing and arranging mastermind, il:lo embody a yin and yang style of complimentary forces.

They describe il:lo as “difficult to capture or hold permanently, having wings.” This meaning can be derived from the definition of the world volatile and highlights their proclivity for shape-shifting moods and the uncanny ability to mutate between downtempo, trip hop, and deep house. Their influences are as far ranging as their music, citing 90s IDM, liquid drum & bass, and even hip-hop, jazz, and world music as playing a role in their compositions.

Throughout their career, il:lo have toured much of Europe taking cues from the exotic architecture around them. The angular aesthetic serves as a driving force in their bold minimalism. From 2015 EP Places to 2019’s Sloh, the duo’s creative vision is apparent in both their musical evolution and their visual identity.

Following the release of Sloh, il:lo took to the road once more touring with renowned beatmaker Blockhead as well as collaborating with electronic mainstay Emancipator, and the otherworldly CloZee on official remixes. They continued to broaden their horizons with remixes for Mt. Wolf, Panama and Jerro. At the top of 2022, il:lo unveiled their first live record with Anjunadeep Live Sessions, a culmination of their work with the progressive London-based dance label Anjunadeep.

Now, joining forces with Nettwerk, il:lo’s composition methods remain unchanged. Through their endless musical journey, the dualistic mindset continues to evolve and encourage listeners to let go and take flight.
