Today, March 2nd, emerging electronic producer DEFSET unveils ‘Deadlines’, the first cut taken from upcoming album ‘Proximity’, due for release on May 28th through EMK - the new electronic music platform launched by Kartel Music Group. Stream ‘Deadlines’ here.

“Deadlines’ is about the end of days,” explains DEFSET; “writing this in my bunker when the world felt like it was ending, I guess it took on a sombre, dark tone. I was listening to a lot of Trentemøller, Apparat and other artists who lean towards the darker, cinematic, electronic spectrum. It’s dark but not without hope.”

Although new to the electronic music scene, DEFSET demonstrates mastery in delivering a deeply accomplished sonic blend of immersive techno, dub-step and atmospheric electronic music.

One Rock State - it is a project founded in late 2011.

The project was founded by a young and ambitious DJ,
musician and promoter Vyacheslav Kudryashov, one of the founders of the Fast Foot project, as
well as his partner Kirill Kozlov (qeereell).

After some time, Vyacheslav left the project and Kirill kept the project until the time when his level of writing music reached a good sound.

And a few years later, he released a new track the New way. It can be considered a rebirth of the project and the beginning of a new Techno movement!

The release also includes an outstanding Remix by popular musician Stan Kolev.

Four Hands – this is Alex and Marcel.

​When Alex and Marcel met a few years ago they soon figured that they are sharing a huge joy and passion for electronic sounds. This was the beginning of a very special friendship and the reason for starting to engage in music intensely together.

Just like the two guys themselves, also their music style has developed over the years and went from a deep sound into a melodic techno style with a focus on massive synth parts.

During the times the two DJs got supported by various famous artists like SOLOMUN, Kevin de Vries and lately Nicole Moudaber who played their tracks on big events like BPM Mexico, United We Stream ARTE concert, ReConnect – Together for Beirut and on Nicole’s legendary radio show IN THE MOOD.

Another important passion project in Four Hands’ career is the launch of their own record label VERSPIELT Musik based in Frankfurt am Main / Germany. It focuses on tracks with a sound from melodic to techno. Part of the label is the VERSPIELT show case, which was welcoming amazing artists like ARTBAT, Musumeci and starlet Carla Casanova so far.

Teressan is back with a brand new EP out today called ‘Arrival’ and he has certainly lived up to his reputation of creating tracks that strike a balance between introspective listening and awakening the urge to get up, move and lose yourself within the music. The first track on this EP is called Le Poème Sonore which harnesses an intricate beat and warming synths that create an insatiably funky groove. Using stunning harmonies, rising intensities and layers of melodies, Teressan creates a dreamy soundscape that gets your senses tingling.

The second tune is called ‘Prophet Work’ and features a perfect culmination of electronic and traditional instrumental with tropical sounds thrown in for good measure. This infectiously catchy tune holds more grit than the previous track but is just as intoxicating to listen to. ‘Jamming’ is the third and final production on the ‘Arrival’ EP that has a relaxed, progressive vibe to it. It’s uber-cool sound is created from a bright topline and swirling synths that become more prominent as the track goes on. The music calms down to an almost silence mid-way through before taking things back up a notch and forging a real feel-good tune.

Terresan is a German-American producer based in Berlin and New York City. His sound can be defined as a mix of genres moving between elements of deep, melodic house and downtempo, organic productions. Influenced equally by house, techno and analog synth artists, as by the poetic lyricism of old rock and folk music. Some of his previous critically acclaimed releases include ‘Unison’ and ‘Pensive Movement’.
