Innocenzo Genna – Bruges Memories (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Memories are all that we have left from our distant and almost intangible, but still dearly beloved youth. The Bruges Memories composition from Innocenzo Genna helps to plunge into our lamp past.”

“Воспоминания – это всё, что у нас осталось из такого далёкого и почти неосязаемого, но по-прежнему горячо любимого юношества. Композиция Bruges Memories помогает окунуться в наше ламповое прошлое.”

-Nagamag.com

Innocenzo Genna, called also Inno, has always lived music in multiple dimensions: as a musician, firstly performer and entertainer, and then composer, but also as a technology scholar. His interest in music is not only artistic and emotional, but also professional, because for years Inno has been working in the Internet and technology sector as a lawyer and policy expert, so as to be involved in the major political debates concerning music and technology: from P2P to online piracy, from online platforms to the liberalization of collecting societies, up to the recent European copyright reform.

Such an intense professional activity enriched Inno’s musical vocation, while adapting his classical practice with modern and pop piano, blues and jazz, so as arranging the various genres into a personal compositional style. The many trips in Italy and abroad have contributed to creating the context of images, memories and fantasies from which his compositions are born.

In 2007 Inno settled in Brussels where it found new creative inspiration through the contact with the dynamism and the international ésprit of both capital city and European institutions, the creative Belgian surrealism, and also because of the rainy and melancholy climate of the place. In 2016 he completed his first collection of piano compositions “Brussels Stories”, while a second CD is scheduled to be released in 2020.

The piano compositions of Innocenzo Genna fall within the categories of minimalism and modern classic, with frequent combinations into blues and jazz. He is similarly conservative as a composer, for his music drawing heavily on harmonic and melodic practices found in 18th and 19th-century European compositions. His repertoire is freely accessible through his website and social networks such as Youtube and Soundcloud, while being available also on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Deezer.

Mason Stephenson – Nuits Solitaires (Spotify)

“What do we think about on such long and lonely nights, when the colors outside the windows thicken, the meadows and fields are covered with black haze, and the stone blocks of houses are surrounded by an impenetrable veil of fog. Mason Stephenson please us with his wonderful neoclassical performance on his new single, Nuits Solitaires.”

“О чём мы думаем такими долгими и одинокими ночами, когда краски за окнами сгущаются, луга и поля застилает чёрная мгла, а каменные глыбы домов окружает непроглядная пелена тумана.”

Ethan Gold – God Rising (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“The end of something is only the beginning of something new, more magnificent, beautiful and timeless to us. Do not Let Go - a journey into the very depths of our subconscious. Endless struggle of the angels and demons of our lost souls. A beautiful emotional neoclassical theme by Ethan Gold.”

“Конец чего-либо есть лишь начало чего-то нового, более величественного, прекрасного и неподвластного нам. Don't Let Go - это путешествие в самые недры нашего подсознания. Бесконечная борьба ангелов и демонов наших заблудших душ.”

-Nagamag.com

God Rising is an ambient instrumental track that invokes concentration and effective meditation. It is a part of a larger soundtrack for the Blumhouse Productions' feature film "Don't Let Go"

Ethan is currently finalizing the double-album Earth City, a record about urban alienation and love, as well as about the destruction of the planet. (Scheduled for release in mid 2020.) He is starting to release singles in the autumn of 2019, beginning with the environmental anthem "Never Met a World Like You."

His third full album in 2018 was his soundtrack of original songs and score to the indie film, The Song of Sway Lake, featuring John Grant and the Staves singing Ethan's songs.

While working on this film score in New York, Ethan fell in a freak accident. Temporarily losing the ability to speak and to do complex tasks, during his convalescence he clarified his vision further. While playing with San Francisco literary rock weirdos The Size Queens, he found himself returning to early influences, being re-inspired by the futuristic sounds that were his refuge in the post-post-hippie milieu of his childhood, with skinheads roaming the confused streets of San Francisco before the tech boom. Last year Ethan released his collection of live covers of New Order, Bauhaus, Of Montreal, Devo, The Knife, and other influences, as Live Undead Bedroom Closet Covers (“Unhinged but weirdly compelling” – Uncut; “Often brilliant cover versions” – Shindig!; “Rather fantastic” – The Crack). In the summer of 2018 he followed this with the naive-electronic album Expanses (Teenage Synthstrumentals) (“Wildly diverting” – Electronic Sound; “Primitive analogue instruments to their sound-warping limits” – Uncut; “Records like these are my reason for getting into independent music in the first place” – Skope Mag; “My nominee for record of the year” – Vents Magazine.)

Gold first stepped into public consciousness when he produced and arranged Elvis Perkins’ blog-hyped debut Ash Wednesday. After moonlighting as bass player in his brother Ari’s celebrity-driven folk party band the Honey Brothers, and scoring his twin’s debut, the epic comedy Adventures of Power, Ethan began honing his intensely personal style while living in a dilapidated flat in Los Angeles, eventually releasing his debut art-rock album Songs From A Toxic Apartment to underground acclaim (Pitchfork, etc). He then began rolling out a series of videos from the album showcasing his visceral approach, which led to side work as a video director.

Gold was raised in San Francisco, during the hangover that followed free love. His father is Beat-adjunct writer Herbert Gold, and his mother Melissa was killed in a helicopter crash with legendary rock promoter Bill Graham. For Ethan, the escape was always into his music.

Marcus Moon – The Moon Represents My Heart (Official Video w/ Lyrics) (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“-Marcus Moon- through a divine, unearthly vocal performance and a lush of gently harmonies , with his new song -The Moon Represents My Heart- deliver us cinematic emotions of a beautiful world that reflects inside us.

-Nagamag.com

The Moon Represents My Heart

An accessible, modern day aria set to the most beautiful words and images. Try to get through the poetic lyrics and haunting music (not to mention the angelic voice of opera singer Ania Hejnar) without having a few of your heart strings pulled. A box of tissues may come in handy for when your eyes get misty.

Just like the Moon inspires us to dream, and guides us through the dark night, so does your heart guide you when you need it the most, if you choose to listen to it.

Marcus Moon composes in the style and instrumentation of classical music, but with an unmistakable influence of modern day life. Deeply inspired by the singer/songwriters that he grew up listening to, there is always a story at the center of his work. Although his music is mostly without words, he paints the most vivid and heartfelt imagery using simple harmonies and very direct melodies, played on classical instruments, such as piano and cello.

His highly anticipated debut album is scheduled for release in December, 2020.

Humanity's expansion and development is created by those who dare, those who
have the courage to go one step further, and show what is possible to the others.
But what about those who do so and fail or - even worse - die?
Are they a part of humanity's progress? Will they be remembered in history,
and from those who will benefit from their courage and their actions?

"Forgotten Heroes" is inspired by the great number of applicants to the project
"Mars One", a one-way ticket to Mars with no possibility of coming back.
People willing to leave their planet of origin to explore wider spaces,
even if that means a certain death in the unknown.

LYRICS:

And you have waited for the stars
All our hopes they where out there
And you walked among satellites
Looking for something you couldn’t find

Black Holes are Here
Empty Spaces and Lost Souls
Black Hole, I’m here
Coming closer, drowning into

I can see the earth that spins away
while I inhale my last breath
do all forgotten heroes
away from home, die alone?

And all of what’s out there
Is hidden in here
Black Hole, I’m here
Coming closer, diving into
