Lukas Poellauer, Aunty – It’s All Good (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

Lukas Poellauer comes back on fortunea with an ambitious 5 track ep. Mixing up house music with the use of traditional instruments and vocals by Spitting Ibex singer Aunty on some of the tracks.

The Departure EP starts off with 'Going Down' - an impressive introduction with reminiscences to early garage house records. 'Falling Back' follows up on A2: a tight bass is companied with piano-cues, glittery strings and a mysterious breakdown, that gives the listener a sort of a cosmic film-noire vibe.

The melancholy continues with the next piece. "Departure", the title-track of this record is placed on the B-side. A trumpet (performed by local musician Alex Valdés), a vibraphone, a smooth bass and beautiful chilled chords are the main elements, paired with field-recordings from the streets of Vienna. Lukas also recorded some jazzy cymbals from his acoustic drum-kit. This laid back, jazzy deep house tune certainly has the blues in it.

While Aunty was also present on the first track for a couple of lines, her voice is placed now more on the foreground with their party song ‚It’s All Good’ on B2.

The record closes with a danceable rework of ‚Departure’. Tieffrequent label head Siggatunez is responsible for this version.

This release will lighten up your day.

Vinyl is limited to 100% copies. There will be no repress!

Australian psychedelic lo-fi house singer/DJ/producer Harry Nathan and UK born/Sydney based chill house pop producer Third Floor combine forces to deliver a beautifully crafted sonic love ballad ‘On Your Mind’

The Sydney based best friends delve into their diverse yet nostalgic sound pallet to co-create this unrequited love story.

‘On Your Mind” is about both the agony & coming to terms of the ending of a turbulent relationship. The haunting vocals are reminiscent of a false yet soothing hope to add to the begging question ‘Am I on your mind?’

On Your Mind delivers the above story sonically with lush warming pads, live teasing bass guitar, grooving percussion with the familiar vox chops from Third Floor. Wrapped up beautifully by Harry Nathan on the vocals, he sings this tale in his own unique style of story telling.

Few words about Monogulo:
Born out of pure passion for music and positive feelings, monogulo has always kept his love for music in sight. Although he never studied musical theory or played any instrument, he felt a special connection to certain types of music styles, which grew stronger over time.

DXES – Don’t You Wanna Dance (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , |

DXES has been bubbling on the underground for a while now and those with an ear to the ground for rapidly emerging production talents will want to know all about the sonic adventures of this skilled production whizz. Reporting for duty with a certified summer banger – he has returned to usual form with a stellar new submission to his swelling back-catalogue. On the back of a highlight reel of releases on the likes of Pool E Music, Impressed Music, System Recordings, Chibar records, Ibiza Stereo records and more – DXES has developed a discography of tightly produced work that showcases his studio aptitudes and touch of gold when it comes to memorable dance music releases. The latest entry of this calibre comes in the shape of ‘Don’t You Wanna Dance’ which hits the shelves right in time for the hot weather.

Kicking off with a sultry and whirling synth that flows underneath the traditional House beat, we’re quickly treated to a flurry of glistening keys and a thumping throwback Progressive House bass synth stack that perfectly fuses together low-end bass with a beautiful mid-range melodic lead synth pluck. The vocal has been cut, twisted and morphed to high pitches for extra effect whilst the organic lyrics flow under and over the production. The breaks let go of the sub bass and let the vocal and keys really take the centre of the stage for a moment before a crescendo builds up to another dancefloor moment with the bass and lead synth taking over control of the energy. It’s a tightly crafted single and a track that fits perfectly into DXES’ repertoire of high-quality dance music releases.

DXES puts this package out on his own DXES Music imprint and it’s out now on all good digital music platforms.

Eli Brown – Immortal (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , |

Eli Brown unveils another high-octane release on Armada Subjekt / Good Company. ‘Immortal’ is the latest formidable production from Eli Brown following an unrelenting flurry of releases this year that’s seen the DJ and producer cement his name among the top stars in dance music.

Bristolian dance music at its finest, ‘Immortal’ sees Eli Brown unleash another heavy-hitting record straight off the back of ‘Desire’, his debut release on the label. ‘Immortal’ showcases Eli Brown’s brooding and dark approach to music production. The gripping chord progressions in ‘Immortal’ marry together with searing grooves to make up a dramatic instrumental. Add to that a fiercely powerful and original vocal and it’s clear to see why Eli Brown is constantly touted as one of the leading producers of house music today.

Eli Brown: “I wanted to write a track that merges ‘90s trance sounds with my harder production style and features a powerful vocal that was completely original: something that would really stand out in my live sets. 'Immortal' was the result of this and it's become one of my favorite tracks to close out big festivals stages with.”

Eli Brown has rapidly established himself as an artist of real distinction in the house world, with his records making an immediate impact upon a flurry of the industry’s biggest names: Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Solardo, Green Velvet, Fisher, Claude VonStroke, Black Madonna, Denis Sulta, Calvin Harris and Annie Mac, the latter of which selected an Eli Brown song twice to become the ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on her BBC Radio 1 show. Eli Brown’s success on the radio and admiration from his peers has turned the attention of dance music royalty Calvin Harris, as the pair have now begun working on new material together. Their 'Moving' EP became the first collaboration on Calvin Harris' ‘Love Regenerator’ series. As diligent a DJ as he is a producer, Eli Brown also comes fresh from a Come Together World Tour in 2019, which included debut plays in Singapore and Japan as well as highly anticipated return visits to the U.S., Canada, Brazil and Ibiza.

DJ SHAAN releases his new single “PARADISE”
LISTEN HERE: https://djshaan.lnk.to/paradisePR

NEW YORK, NY (June 19, 2020) – After making history in India and generating millions of streams worldwide, DJ Shaan makes his Casablanca Records debut releasing a brand new single entitled “Paradise”.

“Paradise” merges deep house beats, trance chants, and four-on-the-floor energy, illuminating the scope of his signature style. It has all the makings of a dancefloor anthem.

Vaulting to the forefront of electronic dance music and representing Indian culture worldwide, 25-year-old DJ Shaan has made history, generated millions of streams, and ignited the hottest festivals in the world with stunning regularity. Among numerous accolades, he notably became “the first Indian DJ to grace the bill of Tomorrowland,” “the most-played Indian dance music artist on the radio in the USA,” “India’s most-followed DJ,” and “the first Indian artist signed to Casablanca Records.” Given this track record, he unsurprisingly kicked off his career with a star-making set at Sunburn Festival in Goa. Just 15-years-old at the time, he would be “the youngest person to play the festival.” Over the past decade, he ascended to global prominence, performing alongside titans, including Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, and the late Avicii. A sought-after talent, he has also officially remixed superstars such as Steve Aoki, Louis Tomlinson, Sandra Silva, Lost Kings, Naughty Boy, and Calum Scott, to name a few. Moreover his solo catalog comprises “Light Up The World” [feat. Lauren Evans], “Must Be Love,” and more.

In 2020, DJ Shaan kicks off what promises to be his biggest, boldest, and best chapter yet. His debut single for Casablanca Records, “Paradise,” fuses a big room chant, propulsive grooves, and high-energy synths as a hypnotic hook takes hold.
