Owen Baldwin is an English composer and musician based in London.

Owen developed an early interest in music after hearing Gustav Holst’s The Planets and Johann Sebastian Bach’s fugues at the age of four. He started playing the guitar, his first instrument, a few years later when he was twelve years old. As a teenager, he fell in love with bands like Pink Floyd, the Doors and the Moody Blues which are still big inspirations to this day.

Owen made his debut as a songwriter in his late teens, writing primarily in genres such as psychedelic and progressive rock. He spent the last year of high school studying classical music, where he joined the school choir and learned the basics of orchestral composition.

He then enrolled at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London to study songwriting and music performance for five years. This time spent at university allowed him to meet many talented musicians and to develop his skills to higher standards.

Owen’s music is very evocative and visual, which led him to pursue a career as a film and media composer. This allows him to compose in a wide array of genres, from orchestral to rock, and from electronica to folk. His work is nourished by a wide legacy of music going all the way back to Gregorian chant and the Middle Ages.

With many new songs as well as original film soundtracks set to be released throughout the coming months, Owen will be spending the year sharing his music while busy working on more exciting projects.

“Sometimes music makes our heart to beat more than ever. Like a balloon filled with hellium which freeze for a moment under the dome of the heavens. Here lies the magic in every note.”

“Порою, музыка заставляет наши сердца сжиматься сильнее прежнего и они, словно воздушный шар, наполняясь кислородом, замирают на мгновение под куполом небес. Волшебство в каждой ноте.”

Chrystal Für – Memory Of A Fading Home (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“It was a dark, rainy night. The moon, like a cold light source, illuminates the noisy streets of the city. Empty road ringing silence and black-and-white picture of the field from the broken asphalt. The melodic composition -Memory Of A Fading Home- is full of stuffy and atmospheric colours for a particular mood.”

“Была тёмная, дождливая ночь. Луна, словно холодный источник света, освещает шумные улицы города. Пустые дороги звенящей тишины и чёрно-белая картина полей из разбитого асфальта. -Memory Of A Fading Home- это мелодичная композиция в душных и атмосферных тонах для особого настроения.”

-Nagamag.com

Chrystal Für’s upcoming album Elusion (out 5/28) is an elegy to the cycle of loss, acceptance, and the promise of restored life. Christopher Vibberts' reflective piano interweaves with droning waves of sound and intermittent shards of static that is equal parts nostalgia and hope.

The music operates in a mind-frame occupied by like-minded artists Colin Stetson, Christopher Willits, and Tangerine Dream, with slow-moving pulses, orchestral flourishes, and ambient ebbs and flows, including an unforgettable 11-minute collaboration with Belgium's Echo Collective.

To kick off May, Vibberts has released the new single “Memory of a Fading Home” -- a reflective, almost Max Richter-esque piece led by piano and subtle orchestral support. He’s finalizing a video that was shot in Guanajuato, Mexico too, where he was living when he first began recording as Chrystal Für.

ALIEN ORCHESTRA – Dark Nordic Dramæ (Video)

Categories: Electronica, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Imagine a place with untouched beauty and wild nature like the landscapes of the arctic Norway. Then close your eyes and make your mindtrip there. Have you ever realized that we can approach the perfect infinity of creation with only a few sound patterns? This is the case here!”

-Nagamag.com

Dark Nordic Dramæ is a dramatic cinematic song with murky ambient elements and deep arctic feelings. The latest arctic travels in the northernmost part of Norway were the main key to get inspired and write this composition

https://www.instagram.com/alienorchestraofficial

Oslo-based studio act ALIEN ORCHESTRA formed by Jan Batista Mojdis in 2014 by releasing its first 3-track EP ‘Fall Of Mars’. There is a full-length studio album recorded and waiting for its date to be released, entirely recorded by Jan Batista Mojdis and Bård Kolstad (Leprous, ex-Borknagar) as a guest appearance on percussions & drums, the album should be released in the near future, the music relatively belongs to cinematic metal genre, so fans will enjoy both, metal music and cinematic trailer music simultaneously. Alien Orchestra wrote the soundtrack for viral short zombie horror movie ‘Hope’. In the meantime Jan’s working on his solo compositions as well approaching to fundamentals of trailer/film & ambient music. New songs already written for the second-third album of Alien Orchestra + extra covers. The deep universe, extraterrestrial life forms, sub-aquatic life and nordic nature are the main theme and hopefully an infinite inspiration source for Jan’s song writing.

Innocenzo Genna – The Leopard (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Initially ispired by the movie "Leopard", the artist created his homonymous piece. Original classical style with strictly organized pattern build up. Give some true meaning to your listening time by choosing this unique sound.”

-Nagamag.com

Artist shared few words about this song with us:

"This composition was inspired by a couple of notes I heard when watching the movie "the Leopard" of Luchino Visconti in February 2012. Because of this, I named the music with the temporary name "The Leopard" but, as often it happens, the temporary title became the final one. After some time, I watched the movie again, however I was not able to recognise the scene with the inspiring notes. It is not unusual to get inspiration from a few notes giving rise to a fully autonomous composition, with the result that the the final outcome appears completely different from the inspiring notes."

Lewis Bolland – Incomplete (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“In our opinion, Lewis Bolland have created one of the most soulful piano songs that we have listened. Resembling the contact of two worlds, where warm hands pose on ice cubes.”

“На наш нескромный взгляд, это одна из самых душевных фортепианных композиций, которую нам довелось послушать. Соприкосновение двух миров, где таят на тёплых руках ледяные кубики льда.”

-Nagamag.com

Gentle modern classical composition. Great for classical, reading, meditation and sleep playlists.

Performing the piano since the age of 7, Lewis’s home life was filled with music. His formal music education began early with piano lessons given by his grandmother Elsie. By the time he was 14 Lewis was being called up as the pianist & keyboard player in school performances and at the age of 15 he was in the rehearsal room as a student teacher, giving lessons to his contemporaries.

After composing and performing for his GSCE & A Level music exams, Lewis went on to support some of the UK’s biggest artists and toured the country multiple times as a session pianist & keys player. In late 2014 Lewis set up ‘Private Piano Tuition UK’. A modern classical piano school who teach over sixty students per week and currently holds a 100% pass rate with Royal Schools Of Music. During the summer of 2019 Lewis performed as a dinner pianist on ships across Europe and came home to start his residency with the Four Seasons Hotels in September. This has seen him go on to perform in front of celebrities, high profile figures, royalty and in the homes of some of the wealthiest families in the world.

After discovering composers such as Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer and Yann Tiersen in piano lessons with his grandmother, Lewis fell in love with writing modern classical and started working on an EP with close friend Ben Selley. Following six months writing originals and re-arranging well known tracks Lewis & Ben recorded their debut EP ‘TIME’ at Air studios, London and released it on the 19th August 2019 under ‘Bolland & Selley’.

‘Moments’ is the first solo release from Lewis in 2021 and was inspired by the different seasons and the feelings they conjure up during the course of a year.
