The Pittsburgh-based duo of Moemaw Naedon & C.Scott are set to drop their collaborative album, River Rats, this September. And to get things started, they’re delivering the psychedelic lead single, “Awesome Environment,” that straight-up floats thanks to Moemaw’s slick rhymes and Scott’s low-key funk production.
The single arrives fresh off the release of Moemaw’s notable Cult Theatre collab LP this past June with New Orleans spitter Calig Kontra. And the emcee’s winning streak simply continues here with “Awesome Environment,” which thrives off his seamless delivery, tack-sharp lyricism, and ability to weave in and out of Scott’s bass-rich production.
Scott produced the entirety of River Rats, which is set to feature the likes of El Da Sensei, JM The Poet, B Rude, and Brother Seamus all flowing alongside Moemaw.
