Gifted Scottish songwriter Tommy Ashby channels early Ben Howard and James Vincent McMorrow on spirited new single ‘A Beautiful Day’ – a beaming heartfelt tribute to his grandma who encouraged a childhood love of birdwatching and the outdoors to flourish by introducing Tommy to the naturalist poetry of William Blake and Norman McCaig. Championed by BBC Radio 2, Scotland, Introducing and KCRW, Tommy is set to play Live at Leeds festival in October and join Turin Brakes on their November UK tour.
