London-based multi-instrumentalist, artist, and producer, Sylvie, has quickly turned heads with their poignant lyricism, innovative production, and what would seem to be effortlessly executed vocal gymnastics.

“We should up the dose and keep the girl’s mouth shut, let's all raise a toast until she’s all fired up,” sings the sharp tongued songwriter on her new single. After being put back onto antidepressant medication, “Dull The Shimmer” describes the numbness Sylvie felt, pointing out the irony of a “happy pill” being a bitter pill to swallow.

Sylvie will debut Particles of Paranoia this fall, featuring exquisitely layered vocals, ethereal vocoders, and moments that seamlessly blend from chaotic to delicate. The entirely self-written and self-produced EP reflects themes of coming of age, breaking cycles, and portrays unflinchingly honest experiences with mental illness and mental health services that speak to the depth of Sylvie’s artistry.

Hazlett’s brand of ballroom indie folk and vast nostalgia will fill your heart but let you cry. Born in Australia, bloomed in Sweden, this modern-day nomad has been earning a place in punters' hearts with his live appearances and fondness of an intriguing story. From his stunning 2017 debut EP Honey, Where Is My Home to the dream-induced 2020 follow-up Thundering Hopes, Hazlett has an affinity for dancing the line of “my life is a mess” to “everything happens for a reason” and making you feel a part of it all. This has led to him being featured in key tastemaker press such as NME, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Atwood, Music Feeds to name just a few. With the rising musician currently working on more brand-new material for his upcoming full-length album debut with Nettwerk, it’s clear Hazlett is weaving his way to something bigger.

About Hazlett:

After ghostwriting and playing in various rhythm sections for most of his formative years, the shy guy from Brisbane found a creative home in the farthest of places, Sweden. Hazlett packed up his things and now resides in Stockholm where his solo project was founded with the help of close friend and producer Freddy Alexander. Writing with his gut and heart like a troubadour of old and combining it with the modern sonic landscape that dances in his head things are blooming in his new-found home in the Northern Hemisphere. Hazlett’s has so far released two well received EPs, toured across Europe, Australia and grew a close-knit family of people he trusts in his adopted home. “As much as Hazlett is me, I think anything good in life is better when you let people in”. With that team spirit in mind, they all made the decision at the start of the pandemic in 2020 to pause everything, bunker down and work on Hazlett’s first full-length album which is set to be released on his new label home Nettwerk.

Rachel Singh’s latest release “Go, Grow” is a compassionate musical expression that gently demands the drawing of a boundary necessary for personal growth, it’s a reminder that solitude is meant to be pleasant and empowering. It is the timeless request of being left with love and trust to explore one’s own individuality & the expanse of the journey forward that comes with it. This relatable longing of needing space & time to oneself is beautifully held by birdsong, earthy rhythmic progression & exploratory expansive flute played by the maestro Rakesh Chaurasia. The song leaves room for you to decide – who is this person that’s not letting go of you? Is it a lover, a friend, a sibling, or a parent? Whoever it might be for you, this song makes you feel like you’re now ready to fly.

This aural evolution was co-composed by Rachel and her Berklee roommate Pierce Leon in Boston, who weaved in the crowning b section that ties together this tranquilizing serenade. Soon to be out this Friday, 19th of November is the Music Video, an illustrative trance through watercolours by Maria Reis Rocha’s from Lisbon.

Tamu Massif’s long-awaited second album Late To My Funeral is due for release 12th August and he now releases final single ‘Looking Over Houses’. The Bristol based songwriter & producer spent the last few years developing more experimental techniques building on a wide range of electronic, pop and R&B influences but has tapped into something special on his new material by writing in a different way. He explains:

“For a long time, I would compose a heavily layered instrumental and then add vocals afterwards. Recently, I've been trying to do it the other way round: writing the song on guitar first and then having fun with the production – adding things to compliment and embellish the original idea. I've consciously made an effort to change my process and have been really enjoying playing acoustic guitar again. I feel like the best songs tend to work in a stripped back form – so starting from that point leaves you with something a bit more raw and vulnerable.”

Tamu Massif has a longstanding reputation as a producer and mentor to emerging artists on the Bristol scene, his earliest work producing Fenne Lily’s debut album testament to his skill at finding atmosphere and the beauty in sparseness.

On ‘So Kin’, for example,Tamu borrowed rain drops on a tent for percussion, their natural applause accentuates the wonder in embracing typically bad weather.

“I wrote the main guitar riff for 'So Kin' late one night while staying up making music with my long-time collaborator and/or friend Max Blomfield aka Twinsen. There was something in the sound of it that felt reminiscent of rain drops falling. The words are me doing what us Brits do best: talking about the weather” Tamu jokes. “It was part-inspired by a specific walk with my brother in the Lake District. We started the walk in the small village of Borrowdale, checking out some of our family gravestones dating back to the 1800's. We were soaked through within minutes of the walk but it was great. There's something quite humbling and invigorating about being out in the rain.”

This vulnerability shines through clearly on his recently released acoustic offerings ‘Old Times’, ‘First To Know’ and ‘Get Up’. These follow a series of extended singles from 2020, including ‘Let your Hair Down’, ‘Heathen’ and ‘I Feel You, Atlas’. A stunning live session for his 3 part single ‘Heathen’ can be seen here.

Tamu Massif released his debut album Little Death Summer 29th March 2019 on Chiverin Records. Reflecting on the process, he explains “I find listening to music a sort of escapism. And that's what I set out to create... something to get lost in.”

Garnering attention over the course of two earlier EPs, Alba & Bala, as well as tours with the Japanese House, C Duncan and Shakey Graves, Tamu is admired for his talent at gathering and warping field recordings as much as for his gift with harmonies and song-writing.
