Branches is an upbeat, hopeful song - and the instrumental is a perfect cinematic feel. The song has atmospheric effects and a driving beat. Producing in his home-studio, David May has made this track for his newborn daughter, and the lyrical version tells the story of his new perspective on life as a father.

The seed of this track started in the bedroom of Kristen Gradwohl and Thomas Howbert, and was recorded on GarageBand through a simple USB microphone. Mixing/Mastering engineer(Marcus Wade) along with collaborator/multi-instrumentalist(Alec James) took that seed and grew it into a luscious, and dreamy garden. It's short and sweet, unique take on neo-soul, and jazz-indie music. And though WUWU music is always hard to pigeon-hole into one genre, this song is an outlier even amongst this eclectic artists repertoire.
