“”Lotus” is a Neoclassical flower that gently blossoms out of your speakers. It proves the fact that even simple piano keys can deeply affect us. Lovely melodic shifts and interesting arpeggios are some of the tracks main characters.”

Polymancer x Ronojit Bhuyan – formless, bundles (live in a hotel room) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Quite artistic Dream Pop approach with piano melodies and a main singing part. The artist focuses on feelings of sadness and dissapointment which usually occur after a break up. Whether this finds you in a similar phase or not, it really worths a listen.”

formless, bundles talks about heartbreak and a feeling of helplessness one can feel as they watch a relationship fade away into nothingness, as painless as you may try for it to be, still somehow pricking ever so slightly into your heart. A collection of different recordings, this release comes out as a live piano version of the song, featuring the acclaimed Mumbai-based pianist Ronojit Bhuyan on the keys.

An acoustic version of the grand five variant release, the piano version captures raw emotion as the listener goes through the many phases of acceptance where they find themselves drowning in Poly’s deep vocals, swimming ashore every now and then when the piano hits a breather post hook. Ronojit’s smooth keys guide the listener into auditory extravagance as he glides across the blacks and the whites of the piano, much as life does through its many different phases, some filled with bright light and other darker.

This release is the first of five versions to be launched, and is accompanied first by a psychedelic audio visualiser on release day, and then by a music video the day after the major release on YouTube, iTunes Video, Tidal, and Deezer stores. With BBC Introducing showing support, Polymancer aims to break into the global Dream-Pop scene with a bang, spreading his releases across the next few months until the major sophomore EP hits.

Loulita Gill, Aron Bicskey – Will You? (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Gentle Dream Pop work with classical influences and light, leading vocals. This track emphasizes on the importance of emotional support between people. If it happens to face a difficult situation when others could stand by and make things better with even a few words, will they do so?”

-Nagamag.com

We have all been there when we don’t want answers, fixes, good advice or helpful suggestions. In fact, we just need a person to be there, so we don’t feel alone in our hurt. But it’s often easier said than done. When we try

to help someone by ‘fixing’ them and their problems, it only minimises their pain and can lead to a breakdown in communication and ultimately silent resignations.

Will You? is a gentle, almost broken and anxious, request to just be there... not to try and solve anything but be truly seen and heard. It is an emotional plea for a simple act of kindness to make a person feel loved, to feel hope.

Set on a landscape of ethereal piano, the vocals and words stand out as the focal point of the track. The harmonies build in the bridge, and finally drops to

a tender chorus, which is the final admonition and agreement to just be there.

Chafa – Luminescence (Spotify)

“The melody evenly fills the volleys, telling your story in the silence of the bay, circling in the silent and boundless spaces of fantasies. Monumentality in every note, symphonic passages and an inexhaustible source of good mood and peace of mind.”

“Мелодия равномерно накатывает волнами, раскачивая вашу лодку в объятия тихого залива, погружая в уютные и безграничные просторы фантазии. Монументальность в каждой ноте, симфонические пассажи и неиссякаемый источник хорошего настроения и умиротворённого душевного покоя.”

Chafa is an emerging pianist, producer, and composer based out of Los Angeles. He is currently preparing to launch onto the global music scene with his first two singles ready to drop imminently.

Chada said about this new track "I wrote the melody of "Luminescence" during the height of the lockdown period - it's meant to mimic the feeling of unfamiliarity with people and places you love dearly, but due to current circumstances, you must maintain a level of distance and caution with them. "

John William Richard – Song for a Ghost (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“-John William Richard- wrote a real fairy tale story, like Alice in Wonderland, immerse yourself in the rabbit Nora. Melodic piano, so calm and meditative, soothes and beautifies. Beautiful, warm and a little melancholic, dive into a beautiful story created by the author.”

“-John William Richard- написал настоящую сказку, слушая которую ты, словно Алиса из Страны Чудес, погружаешься в кроличью нору. Мелодия пиано, такая спокойная и медитативная, манит тебя, успокаивает и убаюкивает. Прекрасное, доброе и немного меланхоличное погружение в красивую историю созданную автором.”

-Nagamag.com

Drawing influences from the likes of Olafur Arnalds, Erased Tapes and Erland Cooper as well indie artists such as Wolf Alice and War On Drugs, John William Richards unveils his final single ahead of his debut album release, with a stunningly animated video from Rachael Olga Lloyd.

https://johnwilliamrichard.bandcamp.com/

“When John and I first talked about making the video he told me he had based the whole album on his beautiful old collection of photos. I used this for inspiration, recreating the items from the photos like the chairs, gramophone, boat and headphones.” explains Rachel, “I wanted the whole video to feel like you were chasing these memories from the photos in an attempt to connect with the people there in the past. But the memories like the rooms start to break down and we can sadly never truly connect with the people in them as they are just out of reach. If you watch carefully you can catch these ghosts disappearing into the shadows of the rooms!”

Often things come full circle. As a child John William Richard’s love affair with music began as a classically trained musician, with hours spent studying both the piano and cello. However a lifetime has been spent elsewhere, from, amongst other things, fronting a new romantic group, managing artists, starting a label and running a nightclub. With the release of his debut album, Song for a Ghost, this November, John William Richard returns to the rigour of the Classical tradition, mixing that with flashes of contemporary electronica, creating something that is both intimate and breathtakingly cinematic.

https://www.facebook.com/John-William-Richard-101107908430561

“I think in film images when I write and as the world comes into focus the scene emerges and the internal director takes over. But really it was not until the tracks started coming that I got more confident in how it might work out. The title track, Song For A Ghost, however gave me the key to unlock the vision of an album based on memories from various childhoods mixed with a cinematic imagining of their performance. As the recording developed, the more focussed these all became”

https://www.instagram.com/john_william_richard/

Much of the recording was done in his home studio in Bath, but from early on one of his main concerns was to breathe some organic life into. To get the piano sound he wanted he decamped to the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

“I set off to Rockfield in search of the grand piano sound to replace some of the main piano parts. This proved a success but a challenge musically as by then I had managed to get some great cello and trumpet parts played by Michelle Packman in LA and Ryan Svendesen in San Francisco respectively. Playing to a grid is fine but I do like the music to move fractionally and almost stumble where needed, so to reproduce that after the fact so to speak is fun to say the least!”

With over 20 compositions recorded and ready to go, and a growing list of collaborators, both home and abroad, including the introduction of Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack, UNKLE) to mix the record, John William Richard’s return to his musical roots is taking on a new life of its own.

A very passionate and prolific artist, french pianist and composer Jordane Tumarinson has produced no less than 5 original albums between 2018 and 2020 as well as numerous singles.
