Hunter Falls – FAME (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Deep sentimental song with the signature of "Hunter Falls". The artist creates in order to reveal some of his inner thoughts via Pop sound and expressive lyrics. We just couldn't resist to his exceptional voice capabilities and the standing out percussion elements of "FAME".”

-Nagamag.com

The song is about having to make a devastating decision between the things you love the most. In this instance, I had to stay in the studio for months on end to work, which weighed down on my relationship with my loved ones. My whole life I had been chasing for a life of fame, but love certainly had made things complicated...

ELUNIA – Pressure Points (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“-ELUNIA- dominates with her voice in the music world, creating an authentic harmony and stands on her diverse background as such. In -Pressure Points- the singer's charming meditative voice floats into the clouds and lift us up too. Also presenting an emotional atmosphere and kaleidoscope with rich variety of sound colours.”

“Вокал -ELUNIA- доминирует в музыкальном пространстве, создавая аутентичную гармонию и выделяется на многообразном фоне ему же подобных. Песня -Pressure Points- словно плавает и витает в облаках, очаровывая своим медитативным голосом. Обволакивающая слушателя атмосфера, эмоциональный калейдоскоп из разнообразия звуковых оттенков и тональностей.”

-Nagamag.com

Returning with her third single of the year, alt-pop prodigy ELUNIA unveils the emotive single "Pressure Points," co-produced with multi-million streamed producer JMAC (Haux, Luz, Matilda Mann, Rosie Carney). The singer-songwriter-producer, praised by EARMILK as "[leaving] you hanging off each word," released her debut "Borderlines" and second single "Soak" in early 2021, which received notable acclaim from music blogs and accumulated over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone. Guided by moody piano, the nuanced production of new record "Pressure Points" ebbs and flows to create a dreamy landscape. Alongside shimmering guitar, haunting synths, and dynamic percussion, ELUNIA’s ethereal voice soars as she delivers intimate, poetic lyricism.

Speaking about her new single, ELUNIA says: “I wrote ‘Pressure Points’ about idolizing someone as the hope I was looking for through a struggle with mental health, and the fear of losing them. I felt like I was finally seen for my full potential, which gave me a glimpse of possibility when I could only see nothing before. You can hear the original voice memos in there from the day I started writing it with birds singing in the background, which felt so right to keep in since it’s quite a vulnerable song. The idea of ‘pressure points’ felt so strangely accurate to me when I came up with it – it's not like someone is outright saving you, but more that they're just existing in the right places and the right ways, and it's really subtle, but that makes it all the more powerful.”

Pt.2 is the second part to a song of Stella's called “I Love You So”. With Pt.2 closing off her debut EP, and I Love You So showing the beginning of a love story, you'll be taken through a beautiful relationship with a beautiful human. Pt.2 talks about the love that was lost, the regret behind it, and the scar that’s been left on Stella's heart. Just when you think you’re recovering from the emotion-stirring journey this song takes you on, she delivers some profound spoken word; the percussive rhythm section perfectly complimenting the poetry.

About Stella:

Out of a dark and dingy bedroom in the depths of the Black Country emerged a dreadlocked creature whose ears pricked up at the sound of twanging guitars and cracking drum beats. Galloping around, she made friends wherever she went and caused mischief along the way. She was a rebel; no care for the rules or the way things should be done. This was the beginnings of Stella.

Something of an alter ego, the name has adopted many connotations over the years, with much of her fan base unaware that it’s not actually her name...

Stella is more than a name now, more than a brand. It’s a way of life. Stella represents freedom and empowerment - the freedom to express yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Stella is finding your own way. Stella is a middle finger to the man. Stella is caring for your neighbour. Stella is joy. Stella is a party. Stella is love.

Her relationship with life has been an integral component in the sculpting of Stella’s sound. Passionate, sensitive yet dynamic, evocative and lyrically provoking, it embodies her struggles growing up in what, at times, was a cruel world. Her insecurities and vulnerabilities, her endeavours for a healthier mind and her battles with adversity are all laid bare in her songs.

Alongside these qualities she has a natural gift for writing alluring melodies and the caressing vocals to deliver them in symbiotic harmony.

If you’re a lover of honest, raw, emotive music, then Stella is for you.

To complement her natural talent, her drive, desire to progress and outgoing personality are opening new doors for her all the time, a testament to her hard work and passion.

So, what can you expect from a Stella show? Well, that’s not something that can be captured in a few words. What can be promised however is that you’ll leave with a smile on your face.

Her inspirations span far and wide and reach beyond music and her immediate experiences. As a devoted feminist and environmentalist, she endeavours every day to make the world a better place and much of her creative expression originates from this. She is also a romantic and is able effortlessly to conjure up heartfelt songs to eternalise a moment.

Some of her main musical influences include Lily Allen, Mac Miller, Bob Marley, Jorja Smith and Tom Misch. Outside of music her most significant role model is her mom, who has been there with her every step of the way, attending every gig without fail and guaranteed to be found dancing wildly at the front.

In the last few years, she has established herself as a household name on the Birmingham scene, winning best pop act at the Birmingham Music Awards in 2018, where she caught the attention of John Taylor of Duran Duran, who commended her for her performance and wrote about it on his social media pages.

She has played many of the city’s most iconic venues such as The Sunflower Lounge, The O2 Institute, and The Rotunda. She has also featured as the guest artist at the highly acclaimed jam session, Neighbourhood.

Stella has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Kioko, Lady Sanity and Husky Loops, and was due to headline her first show for Birmingham Promoters in December. Sadly, due to the COVID pandemic this had to be postponed until further notice, but as soon as the restrictions are lifted, rest assured it’s gonna go off!

Currently she is in the final stages of studying for a songwriting degree at BIMM, which again has been rather disrupted by the virus and is now all online lectures. This did, however, allow her the opportunity to focus on her EP, with her first single, Warm and High, released last summer, making it on to a reputable playlist on Spotify. More releases to follow very soon so watch this space!

Stella does not meet societal standards, and she doesn’t want to. Her intention is to bring people together, to share laughs, spread good vibes, provoke thought, encourage the individual to challenge themselves, to question their beliefs and values, inspire them, and ultimately to create a better world for everyone.

Sophie Janna – Wide World (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“"Wide World" is a heartwarming Folk song, made to express feelings which come deeply from the soul. The ideal message to send on a person you really love. Lyrics with great meaning, unforgetable singing voice and very artistic clip that you don't want to miss!”

-Nagamag.com

Artist shared with us few words behind this song inspiration:

"'Wide World' is a song I wrote when I wanted to convince someone to stay with me in Amsterdam, instead of go home to the other side of the world. I didn't dare to say "I love you" out loud and neither did he. I wrote the song when he had left and sent it to him. A year later, a few months after the first lockdown, I stranded in France when I couldn't continue my journey to Spain. Because it was already quite late I called my friend Niko whose parents live in Paris. I stayed in Paris for a week and in that week we recorded a few songs together, which I am going to release as an EP this year. 'Wide World' is the first song! Niko and Jakes are a producer duo - forming psych pop band pecq - and have studio in Oxford together called Upcycled Sounds. I was really lucky that they were in Paris at the same time as me! The song features Jakes on synth, organ and harmonies, Niko on field recordings and Niko also mixed the track. The artwork is a print from a lino cut I made of two swans flying above a snowy landscape. The landscape is from where I grew up, the swans symbolize the theme of the song."

Max RM – Thinking & Talking (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Elegant Acoustic creation based on guitar chords and melodic synth sounds. The artist describes a situation that more or less we all have experienced in our life. Have you ever felt frustrated, with no goals and future plans? Maybe lost in everyday's madness? Then, now is the time to calm down and just think about your next steps.”

-Nagamag.com

The song depicts a ruminating inner monologue - it is about being discontent and struggling to find one’s path in life:

“I was feeling frustrated with myself and the world when I wrote this song; expressing these feelings in song form felt like a step towards finding some resolution.”

Recorded at home during the pandemic, the song features backing vocals by Liz Dearsley, acoustic guitar by Jamie Myers and remote mixing by Oli Deakin (Lowpines).

andreas owens – not much (better than before) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“This brand new single by andreas owens was made to take away all the pressure from a tiring day. Low bpm, light sounds and simple structure. A song which can clean the mind from useless thoughts and help us focus on certain things we wish to achieve. ”

-Nagamag.com

Los Angeles-based producer and singer-songwriter andreas owens releases his third single of 2021, "not much (better than before)", an R&B-infused pop track about making meaningful decisions and being your best self.

The song follows the release of his incredibly lauded debut and sophomore singles – “don’t feel happy ◡̈” and “falling & falling” – both of which were well-received by outlets like Banger Of The Day, DUMMY Mag, Early Rising, Substream Magazine, and We Found New Music, and landed on Spotify’s editorial playlists (Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Pop, and Study Break) and TIDAL’s editorial playlist (Rising: Pop).

https://soundcloud.com/andreasowensmp3/not-much-better-than-before/s-wVvWLDzu2Xf

"not much (better than before)"

“not much (better than before)” was inspired by the idea that even though we're the same person we used to be, in truth, we can always strive to be better just by putting one foot in front of the other and making more thoughtful and meaningful decisions than the last time.

Too often do we get caught up in trying to make tremendous changes when truthfully, change, in whatever capacity, comes from small, incremental steps. We have a propensity to give ourselves more credit for trying, and not always accomplishing. The fact of the matter is: change is more sustainable when it comes slow and gradual, and similarly, trying to be a better person is best done steadily and thoughtfully.

QUOTES

“This feels like one of the most special songs I’ve ever made to date because of how helplessly imperfect it is. Like, I can really hear a lot of the mistakes I made while making it, but somehow I couldn’t find it in me to try and fix everything, or even feign an attempt to make it perfect. Within its imperfections, it feels perfect to me.”

“‘not much (better than before)’ is the product of truly not knowing what to do with myself. I remember trying so desperately to come up with some new music and was losing my mind a little bit.”

BIOGRAPHY

andreas owens is the solo project of Los Angeles-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Andres Owens, the lead vocalist of indie pop and R&B band The Millennial Club. Delicately blending intimate vocals with unabashedly ‘pop’ backbeats, the So-Cal native has been slowly but steadily building a catalogue of truly unique material. Embracing the ever-evolving notion of bedroom pop, everything is written, recorded, and produced in his (tiny) bedroom-turned-studio.

In his own words, “It’s the only way I’ve found it to feel authentically myself. The safe, familiar space is the catalyst for facilitating something visceral and unapologetically my own. It allows me to release my compulsive ‘perfectionist mindset’ and instead create with not only the ability to make mistakes, but the understanding that it’s inevitably the only part of the process that makes it my own.”

Mad Circuit, LG (TEAM GENIUS), Sereda – MAMASITA (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , , |

“ A finely knitted swirling combination of styles blended to create a pleasant & coherent fusion of influences that at times breaks into a playful, joyful chaos. Hip Hop, R&B, Rap, Pop & Latin are expertly folded & mixed together by ‘MAD CIRCUIT’ both musically & lyrically. The vocals are sexy, funny, witty & good to listen to. Mamasita’s infectious rhythm will fill dance floors everywhere.”

-Nagamag.com

https://linktr.ee/MADCIRCUIT

Breakout trio MAD CIRCUIT are set to break the internet. Comprised of three talented creatives in their own right– Sereda, LG (Team Genius), and JR came together to create the latest version blissfully chaotic MAD CIRCUIT at the beginning of 2021.

MAD CIRCUIT was the creative brainchild of acclaimed Norweigan producer Joachim “JR” Rygg and has seen many forms, iterations, and collaborations, culminating in an eclectic catalog of dancefloor-ready hip-hop. When acclaimed rapper LG (whose voice and lyrics have been heard across national placements for the likes of Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and more) and billboard-charting vocalist Sereda (Twitch's biggest performing artist) joined the group, MAD CIRCUIT became a one-stop-shop for all your listening needs.

When their "My Fit" single went viral on TikTok and got a prominent sync in Mindy Kaling's hit Netflix show Never Have I Ever, the trio shot up viral streaming charts and have quickly become a sensation. With a social reach of over 500K and a staggering 16 Billion views of content featuring their music on TikTok, MAD CIRCUIT is bound to join the ranks of trailblazers like Doja Cat, Aurora and more in this wave of viral sensations.

https://www.instagram.com/madcircuitmusic/

The beauty of MAD CIRCUIT is what each individual brings to the table, successfully creating a melting pot of sound and culture. In the irresistible "MAMASITA," a rhythmic beat with a latin flair lays the groundwork for LG's captivating lyrics and Sereda's flirtatious vocals. With its winning combination of pop, R&B, and rap, this indomitable single is destined for superstardom.

Producer JR shares, "Sereda and LG are so different, but both are really cool, high-end voices that always flash new things. Each of their voices serve as two different ‘instruments’ I can use in the studio. LG boasts a strong hip-hop background while Sereda comes from an entirely different realm with her Spanish swag and sexy style of R&B and pop. But they both have this gritty confidence oozing out of them, which really brings it all together.”

About Cat Club

The electronic music duo known as Cat Club consists of the sleekly helmeted artists known simply as “J” and “M,” based in San Francisco, California and New Orleans, Louisiana, respectively. As multi-instrumentalists and producers, Cat Club’s style is marked by dark beats, lush synthesizers and pop vocals. Progressive-house, bass, dub, hip-hop, ‘90’s techno, pop, and rock influence this genre-bending pair. Cat Club captivates live audiences by rocking-out on DJ turntables, samplers, drum pads and synthesizers, all while wearing their signature helmets. Pre-pandemic, the pair frequented clubs in the Bay Area like HUE in San Francisco, CA, and Elbo Room Jack London in Oakland, CA, drawing dance and indie-electronic music crowds. M, an art school graduate from Sacramento, CA, and designer at Apple by day, met his counterpart, J, at a San Francisco party in the mid 2010’s. J, a film school graduate from Cleveland, Ohio, was a producer, shooting commercials with the likes of Lil Wayne and LeBron James. Connecting over a shared love of music, they began hitting San Francisco nightclubs together and trading song sketches, each improving the other’s creations. M’s eye for design paired with J’s production prowess informed the band’s futuristic aesthetic. And thus, Cat Club was born. They designed their futuristic helmets to keep the audience focused on what matters most: the music. The duo weaves elements of their childhood favorites of Top40 pop, rock, and hip-hop into their songs. More importantly, the influences of Justice, Deadmau5, Booka Shade, Major Lazer and other electronic giants permeate their sound. From French house to German minimal, once they experienced the dark side of electronic music, they never looked back. Newer inspiration comes from array of artists like Meduza, Black Tiger Sex Machine, KLOUD and SACRE. Cat Club loves to experiment by mashing-up opposing styles, having fun and bringing a sense of humor to their music and performances. Each new release is a mystery, but one thing is certain: it’s always unmistakably dark, sexy and driving with a pop vocal finish.
