Let me take you back in time:1933, there’s a party on the rise
Sweeping Germany, they gone call it a new Reich
A charismatic speaker with the office in his eyes
Then he won election night
Forty-four percent popular vote is no majority
The only opposition to show/ chose poorly
And as consolidation would grow, there’s no quarreling
‘Cause ain’t nobody got up the stones to show authority
A people too bereaved by inflation and unemployment
A constitution weakened by power seizing and lawyers
Leaves a country fiending for anything for enjoyment
They’d rather seek their comfort if speaking up could destroy it
The rich get richer, the factories open
The figure grows bigger, the economy is growing
The media agrees, they’re locked into the motion
Dissenters get silenced and fall into commotion
The people learn, even if they disagree
That they benefit, tacitly, inherently
What’s the point of true resistance realistically
Cuz they don’t think about who’s lookin’ back in history
The speaker takes advantage, a populous complicit
His speeches on the radio, everyone stops to listen
And Most of the people who voted for opposition
Never really learn: disagreement is not resistance
Fast forward twelve and its 1945
There’s concentration camps built along city lines
People breathing in the smoke, walkin’ dogs, living lives
Acting like there’s nothing wrong, when it’s calm, they oblige
Even when the war stops, they would all act surprised
Guess at every train stop, they just blocked out the cries
Only one in ten Germans registered with the reich
But when history looks back, shit they all sympathized
So judging by the history, well, you know who’s coming
But that don’t motivate you to get up and do something
So if you got opinions, great, it’s too funny
‘Cause evil finds a place where good people do nothing
