What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Sigesmundsen:
I love classical music and film scores. they are relaxing and have many harmonics and feelings. thats why i love to create chillout and ambient music. i love rhytmic music aswell, and are very inspired by both genres.

Few words about your musical background and career?

Sigesmundsen:
started out on flute as a child, playing classical music (i hated it at first) then i moved on to organ and piano, for a few years. got my first guitar at 12, and started to play in groups in music school. did the whole rock thing, and learned to play bass and drums amongst other instruments. around 1995 i started to listen more and more to electronical music, and has never left. released at cosmicleaf a few years back, an album with an electronic band called kill the geek, with a good friend Gitte thusgaard hansen. cosmicleaf is my main label as the artist Sigesmundsen, and have released there in a few years now.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Sigesmundsen:
music is the soundtrack of our lives, and remembered the first Star wars movie as a young boy. I absolutly love that theme. remembering i wanted to play that, or at least sing the theme :D

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Harry Maes:
My current music is influenced by neo-classical and melancholic music with an underlying emotion which focuses on listening to and finding your inner voice of soul. You can also find elements of jazz / fusion, EDM, Pop and Guitar instrumental music influences because I've been producing in these styles before I chose my new musical direction in 2019.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Harry Maes:
I’m a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, piano/synths, drums, percussion). I’ve studied pop/jazz Guitar at the Rotterdam Conservatorium in the Netherlands. I've focused on playing fusion music in the 90s and started producing Pop and EDM after the year 2000. Between 2010 and 2018 I created fusion guitar compositions and video demos for various guitar related products. Since the end of 2018 I'm focusing on my new music direction.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Harry Maes:
Before the end of 2018 I was mainly focusing on producing music for other artists. In 2010 I've had a life threatening experience and it took me years to process all the emotions from that time. I've composed songs around 2012 that I've finally been able to work on again in 2019 and 2020. Inner Voice of Soul is one of those older songs that came to life in the last years. So my new music direction gave me the confidence to produce and finalize this music and choose to promote myself as an artist. It feels very liberating to finally share something that truly represents myself.

Nagamag:
Why have you chosen a new music direction in 2019?

Harry Maes:
At the end of 2018 I've made the bold decision to move from composing on guitar to piano! Because of that 2019 was a very intense but also exciting year in which I've forced myself to only compose on piano and improve my playing ability on piano. It was quite challenging but also liberating to not focus on guitar and fall back onto default patterns. The limitation of the piano has really led me to find my deeper underlying emotions, my inner voice and truly following my heart!

Nagamag:
Are your family or children also musicians?

Harry Maes:
My son Justin is a DJ and producer who lives in Seoul (South Korea). He's currently working closely with DJ Koo and LIPHOP and he's building his Entertainment Agency RISEDAWN specializing in Korean Future Pop and Digital Marketing. I've also worked with my daughter Tiffany during 2000 - 2010 in which we composed songs together and where she performed in the Dutch Eurovision preselection contest in 2004 and participated in the Dutch Idols 4 competition in 2008.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Matt Stewart-Evans:
As a solo artist - contemporary classical, neo-classical, whatever you want to call it.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Matt Stewart-Evans:
I’ve been playing piano for the past 12 years or so and have been writing music alongside that, whilst completing various music theory and performance exams right through to making the decision last year to switch to composing (almost) full-time.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Matt Stewart-Evans:
I've had a fascination of music from quite an early age, but only had a couple of years of piano lessons as a child before being distracted by other things in life. Thankfully my teacher was very good despite my lack of attention at the time, and I built a solid grasp of the essentials which was hugely valuable in picking the instrument back up years later. At 15, I got my first pair of turntables and mixer and that was my main musical outlet for the next ten years, but piano slowly took up more time and become more serious as a realised how much satisfaction I got from developing my skills and writing.

Nagamag:
What was a defining moment for you as an artist?

Matt Stewart-Evans:
A big change for me came around four years ago when 1631 Recordings contacted me to ask whether I'd be interested in adding one of my piano pieces "Opus #24" onto a compilation (Piano Cloud), as they were just starting out the label. That ended up being very successful and was playlisted for 6 months or so. Up until then, I'd not considered releasing my music commercially, but that was a big moment for me in terms of seeing an unexpected reward for doing something I loved, which made me consider how I could make it more central to my life.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Kevin Kerrigan:
It's a cross between film soundtrack, ambient and classical music. I aim to create little worlds of music and sound to escape into..

Few words about your musical background and career?

Kevin Kerrigan:
I grew up working with artists such as Brian Eno, Bjork, and film composer James Newton Howard. These guys gave me confidence in my own work, and also helped influence my creative approach to music (as well as probably my sound). These days I mostly compose music soundtracks for film, but I also release instrumental music soundtracks as an Artist.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Kevin Kerrigan:
I started making music by accident. My school had a fire, and the next day they had to throw away all the instruments. I asked if I could have an old electric piano which was in the dumpster. It was melted and looked like a Dali painting. But I repaired it and started writing little piano pieces on it. 25 years later I'm still essentially doing the same thing.

Nagamag:
Do you make any other styles of music?

Kevin Kerrigan:
Myself and Sophie Barker (of Zero 7) make music for children, called "The Rainbow Collections". We've been signed to Sony for about 15 years now and it's quite popular with young kids. It's fun to do.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Zero Cult:
All genres of electronic music except EDM,but most of my tracks are chill-out, downtempo and psychedelic.

Few words about your musical background and career?

Zero Cult:
I don't have a huge background, when I was 14,i have started to play guitar and write a songs.later together with my childhood friends we created a rock band.In 1998 I bought my first PC,Midi keyboard and sound card and I started to learn a music production. "Zero Cult" project was born in 2003,I have already got enough production skills to create a music that could be released on a labels.I always had a passion to chill music. I created a 2 tracks,was taken by Cosmicleaf records for the new compilation "Chill on Ice". Now,behind me, is 17 years of music production, with 9 albums and tens Ep's and compilations.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Zero Cult:
from when I was a child and till now, i have a passion to music, i love listen to music, collecting music on vinyl and creating music.About the right impact to be a music artist, perhaps at age 12-13.it was a music of Jean-Michel Jarre.

What are you working on at the moment?

Jan Ove Fjeld:
Right now Im working on my 3 album. Also do a lots of video making. As a former cameraman, I make videos to some of my songs. Also make music videos for other band from time to time.

Where do you find inspiration?

Jan Ove Fjeld:
I find a lot of inspiration in nature. Forest, mountains, Spend most of the summer months on a isolatet mountain cabin, where I do a lot of composing. I love nature and has a huge respect for it.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Nell Widmer:
My music style is very electronic, with house and RnB influences.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Nell Widmer:
First of all, you have to know that I learned to sing alone, so since I was 9 years old I've been singing. I went on but this time I shared videos of covers of artists I liked a lot. And in 2018 I was contacted following my recordings on Soundcloud, and that was the beginning of writing in English and creating melodies. Since then, I released my EP 2 years later so in 2020 to be able to show all the different colors of my voice.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Nell Widmer:
The first connection with music dates back to my early childhood. I have always been rocked by the Black Eyed Peas and Michael Jackson and the very first time I sang was to music by Michael when I was 2 years old. So I think it's thanks to this musical culture that I've built up which has given me this desire to create and write.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

The Bergamot:
A big part of our music is the lyrical development and storytelling. We get a lot of that inspiration from old folk music. However, we see ourselves existing in the alternative/pop genre. So we are constantly finding ways to connect the two somehow. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't. Our job is to keep showing up...

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

The Bergamot:
On October 20th, 2017 The Bergamot released the dreamy anthem P.D.R. (Both Records LLC). The single launched the band's career who was then discovered by Matt Wiggins (Adele, U2, Florence and the Machine) and achieved great reviews being called "The hottest emerging music talent" (People) and "a gorgeous sound" (Daily Mirror). Fans have discovered the band through an unbelievable series of music videos released to promote the new album "MAYFLIES". The videos have been heralded by music critics as "Lush" (PARADE) and "The Perfect Blend" (EARMILK). These groundbreaking videos have brought light to difficult topics and continued to build upon the band's momentum from "P.D.R.". The videos have garnered over 150k views on YouTube. Music blogs from all over the world have taken to "MAYFLIES". The band's single "L.A." has landed at the #1 spot on SubmitHub and the group looks to expand it's presence on the radio both domestically and abroad. The Bergamot was invited to open for OneRepublic and perform their first stadium show in early 2020. The Bergamot is composed of husband-wife duo Nathaniel Paul Hoff and Jillian Speece from the post-industrial town of South Bend, IN near the southeastern shores of serene Lake Michigan. The duo is all American sweethearts from the heartland. In a recent interview, Hoff states, "Jillian and I both look back fondly at our years growing up in Indiana." Growing up they both sang and performed in the church band. They pulled on influences ranging from Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Nick Drake, and Bob Dylan. The band's main writer Nathaniel discovered the literary genius of fellow midwestern poet Carl Sandberg and his work capturing the life and strain of American life. "The music and the songwriting itself is pinnacle" Hoff explained to Trend and Chaos (NYC). Telling the American story one word at a time the songs touch on many aspects of American life in 2019.

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

The Bergamot:
I remember the first time playing at a coffeehouse in downtown South Bend called Higher Grounds. People had to stand on top of coffee tables to see the show. It changed my life. The cops showed up...

What's your musical background?

The Bergamot:
We both studied music in college. I (Nathaniel) focused on classical guitar, music theory, and vocal development. Jillian focused primarily on the voice.

Few words about your musical background and career?

Lorenzo Tempesti:
I define myself as a composer, specialized in piano and soundtrack music. At the beginning I was mostly writing music for videos, documentaries, commercials in my region. Meanwhile, I used to play in various music bands, among which Silvia Michelotti and Cushini di fanfole. My personal soloist career started with the CD "While the others sleep" in 2016. I've continued distributing a wide production music library through my websites www.bestproductionmusic.com and www.suonimusicaidee.it, on which it is possible to request and obtain licenses for using my tracks in videos, apps and other projects. My music production has increased in the last two years: in 2019 I've released three Digital 45s (Valzer della dogaressa, Leonardo and The flat sea) and one single (6 minutes - 44). At the end of the year I've started also a parallel electronic music project called "Storm(s)". In January 2020 the new modern classical single "Last Bourbon" and the EP "Still Alive" as Storm (s) were released. The "Suite for Malta" EP, dedicated to the Mediterranean island, was released in April 2020.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Lorenzo Tempesti:
Not sure of which is the most important among these three: - the immersion in music listening I've lived in my parents' house - my first music keyboard, when I was 8 - the nights I spent composing in my room, when I was a teenager

Nagamag:
What is the impact of the new music distribution system for an artist like you?

Lorenzo Tempesti:
Since piano music is still a "niche", for me this is a great opportunity. From selling 300-400 records now I can count 30/40,000 monthly listeners, spread all around the world instead only in my region and country. And many opportunities came also from the contact with other artists, with which I exchange ideas and start collaborations.

Nagamag:
What is your role as an artist in this Covid-2019 emergency?

Lorenzo Tempesti:
I am participating in many charity and cultural initiatives related to the virus emergency: in particular I took part in the realization of the song "Il cuore resta aperto" written by Giulia Daici and played "from home" together with 12 other artists of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, to fund our local hospital. I am also playing in FB live streamings together with other pianists for the live series "Pianisti in quarantena".

Few words about your musical background and career?

Maiia:
I'm in love with the music from early ages - when i was twelve, i studied to play a bass guitar and became a part of heavy metal band. My first steps in music production were based just on self-education - all that i could learn reading the tutorials, forums and watching the videos. Being an adult i went to study the music theory in one of the rock-schools in Moscow, and the borders of the musical Universe expanded for me. Since that time i'm experimenting with different time signatures and tonality in my music. Music is the main landmark of my life, so in 2014 i founded the psychedelic chillout label Mystic Sound Records which became the base for develoment of many talented music producers all over the world. I continue my personal musical career as well, producing music for my two project - downtempo and Goa trance. I've just released the new album of my chillout project "Maiia - Love Is The Answer".

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Maiia:
My musical taste was evolving with time and switched to electronic music in 2005 when i visited Goa for the first time. I was enchanted by the mystery of psychedelic music. The same year i started to play chillout music as a DJ and one year after I tried to produce my own music. I was so excited by this process that I was dedicating all my free time to read the music making tutorials, set up my first project studio and released the first EP "Forest Magic" in 2008.
