BPMoore – Galvanised
(Spotify)

BPMoore’s Galvanised is an ambient/electronic instrumental piece that unfolds from a suspenseful drone and pulsing synths into sparkling piano lines, lively drums, and melodic string parts. Soft felted piano riffs shimmer a stirring and hopeful introduction, before a spirited drum groove creates an energetic foundation for the subsequent evolving layers of string and synth parts. The piece is extremely compelling both melodically and texturally, and is quite unlike much of the popular ambient music today that focuses solely on subtle shifts. While the music retains a similar sense of nuance and ebb-and- flow, the composition itself is quite intricate, somehow achieving the perfect balance of ambient and interest.
Galvanised is the “part two” to London-based Ben Moore’s most recent single, From All Who Came Before, the title track on his upcoming album Komorebi. The two have been mixed so that there is no discernible break from one song to the next, and Galvanised brings a sense of completion to the delicate and expectant atmosphere set by the first. In Ben’s own words,
“Galvanised is feeling that moment of anticipation and the release that (finally) everything has just locked into place for the positive.”

v e n n, Andy Feldman – over (prelude)
(Spotify)

Over (prelude), is an ambient soundscape featuring an emotive piano melody. This track is a reflection on how all things eventually come to an end. Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy. Andy is a pianist/multi-instrumentalist from New Jersey that focuses on the modern piano, relaxing piano, and jazz piano. In addition to currently playing and gigging with the Asbury Park based jam band, Secret Sound, he writes and records music varying from cinematic instrumental music, to piano improvisations and indie pop/rock. With his bands, he has opened for acts such as Umphrey's McGee, Rusted Root, and Dark Star Orchestra and continues to build a following through their energetic, live performances.
His piano music often focuses on the past, or the future - the sort of longing feeling you get when searching for something more, or quietly remembering a past event. Ear To The Ground had this to say about Andy's latest release: "It’s got a dash of jazz, a pinch of the blues, and a serenity that I find hard to find in music these days. There’s a real subtlety in the way the chords roll together. If there was such a thing as an Americana and neoclassical mashup, that’s Andy Feldman’s writing."

YuMe – Kite
(Spotify)

Kite is a song about possibilities and opportunities - the pentatonic approach leaves room for imagination making the space between the notes as important as the notes played. A subtle meditative search of the mind written in Japan by the young European composer Yume. Yume is a Dutch composer writing meditative songs in the pentatonic vein, sometimes his piano playing is being backed by subtle far-off self made soundscapes and field recordings , almost unhearable but giving the listener even more imaginary views of a world beyond (after all, Yume means dream in Japanese).
