“Wait For You” by Jay Denton | Rock Song Review

Music Review:

Lyrics of Jay Denton – Wait For You

Verse 1 –
They say it’s time to move on
They say a lot of things
Oh and I know they mean the best
Just lookin out for me
But that compass in my chest
Has a needle
That keeps pointing at the truth

Chorus 1 –
That I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you
I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you

Verse 2 –
Oh sometimes it’s like a fire in the water
Oh and sometimes it’s like a desert in the storm
Sometimes I see your face out on a whisper
Sometimes I wonder what every open wound is for

Chorus 2 –
But I’m gonna wait for you
I’m gonna wait for you
I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you

Bridge –
Oh if love’s not a hill worth dying on
Then we’re all just dead anyways
Makin our way cross the planet
Just spending time and space
Oh and I know it doesn’t make sense
To keep a candle in the rain
But I’m still out here
And that candle’s still a flame

Chorus 2 –
And I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you
I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you

I’m gonna wait
I’m gonna wait for you
