Forenzics x Washington – Unlikely Friend (feat. Washington) (Video)
“"Unlikely Friend" is one of those works that don't require adaptation, as it's pure music without unnecessary embellishments. The energy of Jazz flows like a warm stream, penetrating into the most secret corners of the human soul and leaving a bright mark there.”
“Это одно из тех произведений, которые не требуют адаптации, это — чистая, без лишних на то прикрас музыка. Энергетика джаза льётся тёплым потоком, проникая в самые потайные уголки человеческой души, оставляя там своей яркий след.”

"New Zealand’s Split Enz disbanded in 1984, but numerous reunions, classical collaborations and re-imaginings have always pulled former members – Neil Finn and Tim Finn among them – back into its orbit. Nothing, however, has been as musically ambitious as Forenzics, Tim and Enz keyboard player Eddie Rayner’s deep delve into the bands earliest days. Taking what the pair refer to as “shades” from tracks such as Walking Down the Road and Matinee Idyll (129) from their 1976, Phil Manzanera – produced LP Second Thoughts, and the later, should have been a hit Give It A Whirl, Finn and Rayner rebuild entirely new songs, alongside seven actual entirely new songs....
Quinn Sternberg – June (Spotify)
“The breath of wind instruments, the light rustle of percussion and the huge abundance of feelings that pour through the speakers. Find out an immersive effect indescribable in words. An authentic emotional euphoria, which reflects "Quinn Sternberg" sincere love for music.”
“Дыхание духовых инструментов, лёгкий шелест перкуссий и огромное изобилие чувств, которые льются сквозь динамики. Непередаваемый словами эффект погружения. Настоящая эмоциональная эфория, в которой отражается искренняя любовь авторов к музыке.”

The second single from Cicada Songs, the sublime “June” (out Feb 18), best illustrates Sternberg’s departure from the traditional soloist vs. band structure of most jazz ensembles. “I just told everyone in the band, like, no one’s the soloist, we’re just playing,” notes the composer. Indeed, it’s hard to hear any one instrument take the fore in “June”. It’s very much a sum of all parts, with Quinn’s bass interjecting melodic fragments under interweaving lines tossed between Sam’s saxophone and Charlie’s guitar, with echoes of all in the bell tones coaxed from the Rhodes piano by Oscar and cleverly underpinned by the dexterous Peter Varnado’s drumming. Named for Quinn’s dog, “June” evokes images of a dog running through a field in a peaceful doggy dream. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure scene where you can pick a musical line to hang with, take in the ensemble sound as a whole, or just lie back and dream yourself.

Laele – I Am Here (Spotify)
“Pulsating beat and angelic vocals from "Laele", fairly enough to captivate each listener. In the middle of its climax, the track opens up like a flower bud, before it falls asleep again, slowly lulling and driving you to the land of oblivion...”
“Пульсирующий бит и ангельский вокал -Laele-. Этого достаточно, чтобы заворожить своего слушателя. Трек к середине своей кульминации раскрывается словно цветочный бутон, а потом вновь засыпает, медленно убаюкивая и унося в страну забвения...”

I Am Here is the third release of Laele in the run-up to the release of her debut EP. It's a song about someone who completely loses herself in love and can't seem to pick up herself when the relationship ends. For Ella, the singer and writer of the song, its all about the question how independent you can stay in a relationship and how dependent you can be without it becoming self-destructive.

A love story. Young heartbreak. At only 19 years old, Nate Ouellette is a young artist with an amazing way of painting a picture. This single is about young love and the memories had before it was all gone. Beautifully written and portrayed with an emotional guitar rift guiding the way, "Fifth St." will melt your heart. Born in NY and raised in Westwood, NJ, Nate Ouellette made his mind up from an early age that he was going to be a star. His father was a composer so music was always in his household. He began writing in middle school but always kept it to himself. It wasn’t until his sophomore year in high school that he began taking his talent more seriously. He began connecting with local artists and producers and sharing song ideas, eventually recording some of them but only to show friends and family. When they took to his skills and sound, he realized that his dream of being a big artist might actually become more of reality than he ever imagined.
Recently, he began working on a new, original sound. This unique blend of feel good pop and soul has opened the door to many opportunities coming his way. With a few records under his belt and his following slowly beginning to climb, the soon to be high school graduate has begun the process to stardom. He is focused on not only becoming a staple in the music industry but also bringing it home to his family as they are the most important thing to him. Nate's unwillingness to give up and his desire to succeed is undeniably apparent. Partner that with his creativity, songwriting and distinct voice and sound, the sky is the limit for the young artist. Stay tuned.

-Nagamag.com
‘Nocturne’ is a gentle, melodic & melancholic piece to usher in the night; to day[night]-dream; to escape; to rest; to be at peace.
