Artist shared few words behind this song inspiration:

"This song came from a deep place of acclimating the past couple of years. The uncertainty, challenge, and grief we have all had to experience has shaped us in ways that we are just beginning to realize. I've simply wanted to go within and this track is the musical expression of that experience for me." - Claire Bigley

Kat Penkin – Love Sex Fame (Video)

December 30th, 2021|Pop, The Latest, Video|

“”Kat Penkin” new single burns like fire and invites you in a crazy dance. Commercial sound, packed with strongly uplifting mood and super sensual vocals. We’re pretty sure that this banger is going to make your day in a blink of an eye. Boom!”

-Nagamag.com

Today pop upstart Kat Penkin shares the glam-packed ‘50s-inspired video for brand new single “Love Sex Fame”.

https://www.instagram.com/katpenkin/

Sonically evoking the spirit of Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia and building on the disco resurgence of the last few years, Penkin’s latest offering is an upbeat earworm ready to soundtrack your next carefree night out.

““Love Sex Fame” is about stepping out, feeling yourself and living for yourself and your own wants and needs,” Kat explains and she certainly gets what she wants in the track’s music video. Starring as a Marilyn-esque figure, she fools the players of a back room poker game with her charm, wit and girl gang by her side.

For Kat, the song is about taking things at face value, something which comes naturally to the rising star. “I feel so empowered when I’m listening to “Love Sex Fame”,” she says, “I’ve never really been too precious about transactional interactions with people, I don’t tend to feel too attached or think too far ahead, I just want to enjoy the funny little dance you do with a potential love interest and take it for what it is.”

Born in Devon, raised in Perth, Australia, and now based in Brighton, Kat has been hard at work writing and developing her nostalgic, but fresh sound. Blending relatable lyrics with pop, R&B and soulful influences, her music is a unique melting pot of sensibility and sass.

Fostering a community of loyal fans and tastemaker support through her independent single releases last year, “Love Sex Fame” is the second preview of her forthcoming debut EP Checkmate, set for release early next year with Ultra Records.

The new single follows her lockdown-inspired debut “A Better Time” supported by Wonderland and New Music Friday UK. Already a shapeshifting artist, the first single leans into Kat’s love of soul, whereas “Love Sex Fame” takes on disco and there are more exciting twists and turns across the six-track collection, which is set to establish Kat as one to watch as we move into 2022.

December 30th, 2021|Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|

“The charming combination of jazz and neoclassics, which are so virtuosically playing our feelings. Very interesting structure of building a composition, sadness, longing and light melancholy are so simple and beautifully intertwined.”

“Очаровательное сочетание джаза и неоклассики, которые так виртуозно играют на наших чувствах. Очень интересная структура построения композиции, в ней так просто и красиво переплетаются грусть, тоска и лёгкая меланхолия. ”

Zenon Marko – Descent 1

December 29th, 2021|Electronica, The Latest, Video|

“Our favourite Zenon Marko delivers another masterpiece of Ambient production. When harmony of sound meets spirituality, you can rise into a higher state of existence. Then comes, “Descent” to bring you back… down to Earth again!”

-Nagamag.com

Return to Earth: Descent 1 is the final part of the Symmetry cycle, a return to the beginning, the point of departure, the material world of earth.

Symmetry is the musically symmetrical soundtrack of a journey, whether physical, intellectual, imaginative, emotional, philosophical, psychological, or spiritual. The music expresses progressive ascent towards a goal, arrival at an apex, descent, and return.

The structure of the composition reflects and embodies philosophy, mathematics, sacred geometry, harmony and dissonance, and psychoacoustics. This electronic arrangement of the composition is inspired by early, baroque, classical and neoclassical music, as well as electronic music and minimalism. The entire album is musically symmetrical, with the “Descents” as compositional reverses of the “Ascents”.

Element: Earth
Geometry: Hexahedron

“What we call the beginning is often the end

And to make an end is to make a beginning.

The end is where we start from.”

“We shall not cease from exploration

And the end of all our exploring

Will be to arrive where we started

And know the place for the first time.

Through the unknown, unremembered gate

When the last of earth left to discover

Is that which was the beginning…”

– T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets
