New York alt dance pop duo Crush Club releases their club-ready track “Borderline” via New York’s legendary Nervous Records HERE.

Frontman and vocalist TC Milan and producer, multi-instrumentalist Le Chev deliver the summer club and festival-ready hit.

Crush Club says: “Borderline” is inspired by tracks that got us into dance music in the first place. We wanted to give you something fresh that also feels classic. The song is about searching for human connection in spaces that could seem off limits or hard to find. We’re absolutely stoked to be releasing this with Nervous Records, a label we’ve admired for as long as we’ve been making music.”

Nervous Records’ Andrew Salsano: “I've been a fan of Crush Club since I first heard their 2018 track "We Dance". As I was first listening to Borderline, I was hooked in right away with the Piano line, and could not help but think of Summer. The bright and uplifting track paired with the falsetto styled vocals made this a one-listen sign for me, hope you enjoy it as much as we do!”

Last year saw Crush Club releasing “My Man” (with Nicki B The Vagabond), “Angel”(with producer/DJ LP Giobbi) and “Domino” after a string of wild dance tracks such as “We Dance” (Supermini Remix), which BBC1 Radio’s Annie Mac instantly titled a “Hottest Record in The World”. A classic in the same celebratory vein as Indeep’s “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life,” “We Dance” pays homage to the life-affirming qualities of the dance floor: We dance, we make the club our home / We chant all night to free our souls / We dance!

Crush Club expanded their creative community with remixes for Sofi Tukker, Tom Walker, Jay Pryor and Just Kiddin’.

Following support dates with Sofi Tukker, Jake Shears, RAC and Bright Light Bright Light, the duo has been busy back in their Brooklyn studio. The live shows have seen the duo Le Chev and TC Milan captivate audiences with their boundless energetic performance, with even their more intimate stripped-down sets, here at TED Talk for instance, commanding you to move.

Artist said about this song:

“I had a best friend that I would refer to as my longest relationship. We spent our 20’s partying and weeping all over New York’s lesbian dance floors. It was exactly how your 20’s should go, including how abruptly it all seems to end. There was so much buried beneath our friendship, so when I moved away and started to know and see myself more clearly I really couldn’t avoid our disjointed roots. Last year was particularly hard, as it was for literally everyone, but it also gave me a lot of time to sit and stew and work things out and be mad in ways I never gave myself the grace to be. One night when I got near the end of that rope it was about 2 in the morning and I just needed to do something with all the energy. I started playing these very simple chords and this sweet melody formed and turned into “Palm Trees”. There’s kind of a knot in the song, a lump in your throat of all the things left unsaid, but it’s ultimately a simple goodbye. An acknowledgement of what was and the peace of knowing when it’s time to turn the page.”

Born in the flat plains of Ohio, Often (they/she) hunts for what can carve her out. A natural wanderer, they shifted their perspectives in the Arizona desert, the mountains of France, and the crowded streets of New York. After achieving early dreams of being a working photographer, Often began slowly sinking deeper into their infatuation with the transformational nature of sound. First fitting themselves into an electronic chill pop duo called DIMES, they played small shows in Brooklyn dives until they escaped to and ultimately transformed from life in Atlanta, Georgia.

Often has been discovered on several Spotify Editorial Playlists, was featured on the series finale of Showtime’s Golden Globe winning show “The Affair,” and has a genuine investment in making connection with her audience, hosting a Weekly Reground each Wednesday evening offering a safe space to center themselves and others. Often aims to provide the calm, euphoric experience of healing within her music. Little spells to release our truest selves.

GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Mitch Grassi today reveals “Angels Pray,” the latest piece of original music from his new solo project, Messer.

Messer is about freedom in identity, independence, confidence, queerness, the theatrical, and living your fantasy and romanticizing your life. Basking in beautiful solitude, embracing the darkness we carry within ourselves, as well as celebrating the moments of bliss, humanization, empathy, self-awareness, and global awareness.

“‘Angels Pray’ came from a place of longing, specifically longing for an escape. it’s that inexplicable desire to run out the nearest exit and leave everything behind in search of your higher personal truth. it’s the need for a bird’s eye view. When we find ourselves in the midst of chaos, it is often very difficult to view our circumstances from a larger perspective. The narrator of this song is searching for solace, perhaps in a new place, or perhaps in another person,” Grassi says.

Be on the lookout for additional Messer original music releases over the coming months.

The Pittsburgh-based duo of Moemaw Naedon & C.Scott are set to drop their collaborative album, River Rats, this September. And to get things started, they’re delivering the psychedelic lead single, “Awesome Environment,” that straight-up floats thanks to Moemaw’s slick rhymes and Scott’s low-key funk production.

The single arrives fresh off the release of Moemaw’s notable Cult Theatre collab LP this past June with New Orleans spitter Calig Kontra. And the emcee’s winning streak simply continues here with “Awesome Environment,” which thrives off his seamless delivery, tack-sharp lyricism, and ability to weave in and out of Scott’s bass-rich production.

Scott produced the entirety of River Rats, which is set to feature the likes of El Da Sensei, JM The Poet, B Rude, and Brother Seamus all flowing alongside Moemaw. Keep an eye out for more details and tracks from the project in the coming weeks, all while keeping “Awesome Environment” in your rotation.

“Awesome Environment” is available now through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms, with River Rats due out Sept. 2 via DSPs and cassette through Soul Slime Records.
