Spring Skier – Don’t Forget (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“-Don't forget- is filled with juicy, dense sound and atmosphere. In this track, everything is very competent and harmoniously built: soulful, hypnotic vocals, dream pOP rhythms and a common positive stylistic feature. ”

“-Don't Forget- наполненная сочным, плотным звуком и атмосферой. В этом треке всё очень грамотно и гармонично построено: ламповый, гипнотический вокал, ритмы Dream Pop и общая позитивная стилистическая особенность. Музыка наполненная светом и добром.”

-Nagamag.com

The second single from the upcoming sophomore album, "The Big Surreal", "Don't Forget" is a masterfully crafted indie track with familiar pop writing sensibilities pushed further into exploration with subtle electronica and synth. The staple instrumentation of keys and guitar underpin the track while their signature dual vocal harmonies lead the progression through a candid reflection on the music industry. It is both a commentary on the pitfalls personally experienced in the industry, while also an acknowledgment of how priorities can change when the pressure is eased from having to always be 'on cycle'. It is honest and beautiful, musically and lyrically.

It is accompanied by a clip of marionettes and other puppetry alluding to the theme of manipulation, ending in a parade of fools, not unlike the occasional feelings experienced while on the musical journey.

Recorded by David Rylands and mastered by Grammy award winner, William Bowden (Something for Kate, Gotye etc.).

Eleanor K – All In (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“A melancholic piano melody seeps through the general measured mood -All In-, the vocals gradually, step by step, envelop and warm with their warmth. A light and unobtrusive music, like a flock of birds flying overhead, rocking you into the cradle with its measured rhythm.”

“Через общее размеренное настроение -All In- просачиваются меланхоличная фортепианная мелодия, вокал постепенно, шаг за шагом, обволакивает и согревает своим теплом. Лёгкое и ненавязчивое произведение, словно полёт стаи птиц над головой, укачивает вас в колыбели своим размеренным ритмом.”

-Nagamag.com

Eleanor K achieved huge success during her time performing with Crystal Fighters, a journey which has seen her play everywhere from Glastonbury to Coachella and Red Rocks. Meanwhile, her other highlights have included working with Matthew Murphy of The Wombats on Love Fame Tragedy, collaborating with the acclaimed Vic Mensa and Moon Boots, and creating her own Kyiki project.

Now reborn as a solo artist, Eleanor K steps into the spotlight with her new single ‘All In’. The track is the first taste of her self-produced debut album ‘Everytime’s The Last Time’, which will be released early next year. Listen HERE.

‘All In’ finds Eleanor K crafting an intoxicating blend of her effortlessly beautiful vocal gift with inventive production which melds live instrumentation and sample-based production. Her open-hearted lyricism possesses a melancholy streak, speaking of loneliness but also hopeful for a positive resolution. It’s a style which adds her own personality to sonics which touch upon elements of Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers and James Blake.

‘All In’ hints at what to expect from the album, which evolved during a frantic period in her life. She split her time between touring and being based in Tokyo and Los Angeles, a time further coloured by addiction and a self-confessed identity crisis

-Nagamag.com

This song is basically about gaslighting and those who refuse to acknowledge the good in others for their own benefit. A person should never feel like they must compromise their own accomplishments in order to make other people feel comfortable with themselves.

Singer and Songwriter Jessica Ball started to explore her musical interests in 2009 at the age of 11, and since then has developed a pop-inspired style.

Raised in a rather musical family, Ball had been influenced by artists listened to by the family on road trips, such as Jack Johnson and Missy Higgins.

However, during her schooling, Ball was inspired by her singing coach Nicholas DeZilwa, to explore different styles of music that allowed her to find her attraction to pop music.

Whilst Ball has been overseas in pursuit of a modeling career, working for brands such as Trussardi and Gorman, music is ultimately where her passion lies.

Now, at the age of 21, Ball has connected with 1&2 Productions and has already made her presence felt in the world of Pop / EDM and has become one of the most requested vocalists in the music industry.

A debut single is always a tricky thing: is it going to float?

US DJ-producer MŪNTII gets it very right the first time on ‘All We Need’. That’s probably because he’s got more experience than a debut might implicate. Behind the scenes, MŪNTII has been working on this and follow-up tracks for years. ‘All We Need’ is a catchy, bass-led deep dance banger that keeps progressing and requiring our full attention until the end. Whether it’s in your workout playlist or at a house party, this tune fits perfectly!

“When we have some free time, we just want to spend it with good company. "Good Time" is the sound we usually look for an energy recharge. The ideal vibe to help us feel happier and escape from everyday madness is here and ready to blast out from your speakers.”

Formed by Matteo Berardi and Davide Berardi, the duo showcase the full range of their talents on “Good Time”, with the track spotlighting their sophisticated production skills, as well as their noticeable songwriting abilities – their knack for insanely addictive toplines can be heard on the track’s anthemic chorus. Setting the tone for the song with its title, “Good Time” is a euphoric feel-good track about making the best out of life and is bolstered further by the soulful vocals of Grammy-nominated featured artist Jimmy Burney. With the track firing on all cylinders – lyrics, production and vocals – it makes for a truly fascinating listen.

Speaking on the release, the duo say, “We focussed on the happy experiences of our lives to create something powerful and uplifting. It was written with the notion of having a good time and embracing happiness in the face of adversity since we only live once. With all that’s happened globally over the past year, we could all do with some positive, feel-good vibes.”

With such an impressive single for just their second release, the duo are on track to continue their rapid rise with “Good Time”. -Nagamag.com

Artist shared his source of inspiration behind this song with Nagamag:

“Padi” is what “Buddy” is to an American, on the streets of Nigeria. it is a slang that connotes close friendship and fondness.

I feel being best friends is a key ingredient in romantic relationships so I wrote this song to celebrate that and i hope this will become a steady track for those who already have such friendship and also for those who aspire to such status.

WE ARE AVA – Sorta Kinda Really Into You (Spotify)

“The branded expression and dynamics of -Sorta Kinda Really Into You- make it a composite hit. Pronounced piano and sensual vocals make a common mix juicy and conceptual, which offers its insane atmosphere and instantly raise our mood.”

“Фирменная экспрессия и динамика -Sorta Kinda Really Into You- делают композицию явным хитом. Ярко выраженное пиано и чувственный вокал делают общий микс сочным и концептуальным, что придаёт свою безумную атмосферу и мгновенно поднимет настроение”

-Nagamag.com

«It’s not like we need to talk about our future, but I’m sorta kinda really into you.»

After WE ARE AVA gave a sweet taste of their upcoming debut album Inner Gardening (autumn 2021) with the energetic, catchy track Conquer Me and the gloomy party anthem More Than You Like Me, the trio’s third single release follows now: Sorta Kinda Really Into You.

In the latest song, the Eastern Swiss electro-pop band strikes softer and warmer notes than before. The focus lies on a fresh relationship with all its beauties and pitfalls, reflected in the tightrope act of moving from trivial feelings to real ones. The fear of giving too much of yourself too quickly or getting too involved and consequently breaking something, coupled with the wonderful feeling of something new and exciting: «Really don’t wanna put a label on it and I don’twanna scare you off. But don’t you agree that this is going somewhere with us.»

The band wraps up the all-too-familiar ambivalence of butterflies in the belly in a feel-good ballad with a clear bottom line: «I’m really, really, really into you.»
