“An impressive Bossa Nova single, carefully composed for listeners with specific preferences in music. Friendly sound, based on special acoustic instrumentation and of course the warm vocals of “Pedro Bergamo”. Song with own attitude, clearly not for everyone!”

Artist said about this song:

“Imigrante is about my personal experience moving out of Brazil to Finland, a country with a culture very different than mine. It is a register of someone trying to hold on to what is important and letting go what does not define you as a person.”

Zulya – Urazai (Video)

Categories: The Latest, Video, World Music|Tags: , , |

“If such a phrase is appropriate as incredible beauty, then it fits perfectly into the review of this work. Music that emerged from the unknown depths of the human subconscious, owning an amazing variety of sound colours, shapes and patterns!”

“Если будет уместно такое словосочетание, как Невероятная Красота, то она идеально вписывается в определение этого произведения. Музыка, которая пришла из самых недр человеческого подсознания, поражая и удивляя разнообразием звуковых оттенков, тональностей и работой с вокалом!”

Zulya Kamalova presented the first single – «Уразай» (“Urazai”) – from the upcoming album based on her father’s poems.

At the beginning of the year, Zulya announced the launch of a new project – the album “Әти җыры” («Father’s songs»), which she writes based on the poems of her father Nazip Kamalov, with the participation of musicians from all over the world.

Zulya: “For the last 2 years, Australia has been practically isolated from the world. And at the end of last year, my father, who lives in Tatarstan, suffered a stroke and, while undergoing treatment, became infected with Covid-19. I wanted to come, but it was impossible. Fortunately, he pulled through, but these events filled me with a sense of urgency, a desire to reconnect with my family. I came up with the idea to write an album of songs based on his poems.”

Today, on the eve of Nazip Kamalov’s birthday, the first single was released — «Уразай» («Urazai»),where you can hear the favorite one of Tatar music lovers – Mubai, virtuoso accordion player Aidar Gainullin, young mother Zarina Vildanova, Australian guitarist Dan Taffy, father of Tatar rock Deniz Badretdin, musician, journalist and social activist Radif Kashapov. The composition was produced by French-Dutch sound producer and musical instrument designer Michiel Hollanders.

Zulya: “Urazai is the name of the village where my dad was born. It’s a beautiful place. He wrote a poem about him, and I turned it into a song. My dad goes there every year, it’s only “100 km from Sarapul, where he lives now, but for him it’s quite a serious matter. I used to be able to visit Sarapul (the distance from Melbourne is 13400 km) at least once a year, and sometimes even twice a year. It was amazing for my aunts, who said that I come from Australia more often than they visit the villages.”

Yummy Music label and designer Yana Vakhitova also took part in the publication of the first single. “Urazai” is available on all music platforms.

“Surprisingly, when you play this track your legs begin to move in the familiar in heart rhythm of Reggae. Music that causes emotions, not so much through sensual perception as at the subconscious level. This is a real legal drug.”

“Удивительно, но стоит включить этот трек, ноги сами начинают отбивать знакомый сердцу ритм регги. Музыка, которая вызывает эмоции не столько через чувственное восприятие, сколько на уровне подсознания. Этот трек настоящий легальный наркотик.”

“Melodic, experimental work with artistic images. Variety of field records blended with Asian vocals. A realistic picture eventually appears in front of the listener, where music plot and symbolism appear on its canvas.”

“Мелодичная, экспериментальная работа, в которой прослеживаются художественные образы. Разнообразие полевых записей, восточный вокал красиво ложится на душу и в итоге перед слушателем реалистичная картина, на полотне которой отображены музыкальный сюжет и символизм. ”

-Nagamag.com

Artist shared few words about this song:

"Everything you hear in this track has been created using the sounds recorded in Delhi, no musical instruments have been used.

Dilli is a track that came about as a part of - 'Sounds of the City', a collaborative initiative between Berklee College of Music & MAP Bangalore where one music producer was chosen from 4 metropolitan cities each to compose a track by using sounds of their city.

When I stepped out to record, I realized Delhi is not just one thing or one sound but rather a diverse collection of it. Delhi is noisy, crowded, fast, and yet, serene and peaceful at certain time and places. I wanted to showcase this aspect through my track.

I went to locations such as Chandni Chowk, Nizammuddin Railway Station, Ghats of Yamuna, Lodhi Garden, some of the oldest restaurants, Bangla Sahib, Jama Masjid and several other unique places to record the rich and diverse sounds the city had to offer." - Goya

Bare Jams – Little Bit (Spotify)

“The real, live music, as if frozen in time, does not cease to amaze. It's hard to hear life through the noise of urban streets and such music helps to distract from anything. It draws big smiles of happiness on our faces!”

“Настоящая, живая музыка, словно застывшая во времени, не перестаёт удивлять. Сложно расслышать жизнь через шумы городских улиц, а подобная музыка помогает отвлечься от чего угодно, рисуя на угрюмых лицах несмываемые улыбки счастья и радости!”

https://www.facebook.com/BareJams

For ten years of playing together, collective experience has shaped and instilled the music Bare Jams record and perform. Whether it’s as teens skipping school to busk in West Country villages, touring for weeks through the mountain roads of the Alps, gigging at Glastonbury, Boomtown, in London and Paris; and from skanking the night away in the German Black Forest; to pale mornings and waning spirits. These experiences are fixed in the music and the players, and the effect is brought to every gig and every record. Their danceable + confessional blend of reggae, soul and roots brings an electric sense of vitality, of life’s natural ups and downs, and a sense that if we’re good to each other things will be OK.

In 2011, after a year trialling busking material on their local streets, then 17-year olds, drummer Sam James and singer Ollie Coombes got hold of a secondhand Fiesta, chucked their kit in the boot and whipped it relentlessly to gigs along the jurassic coastline, then across the country with bassist Dave Tyler. The three studied music together at ACM - living in the Guildford YMCA, writing and performing at local venues. In 2015, after five years of gigging, they holed up at Larkins Farm to record the Cold Treats EP with Dave Tyler and prodigious horns don Seb Skelly, whose brass arrangements laid an even greater electricity through the band’s sound, heightening the danceable as well as the reflective moments in the record. Cold Treats also saw them team up with producer Tom Loffman, and begin to carve out the sound (neck-snapping backbeat, rousing horns) that would come to define later single collections Ebbs and Flows, Wasting Time and Fish Bowl.

Since then they’ve covered 50,000 miles in tour vans and/or convoyed hatchbacks, picking up fans along the way in The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, and across the UK. Moved by a compulsion to create good music and good times amongst friends, their live show is famous for bringing an unpretentious, cosmic knees-up.

Collectivism makes it to the heart of everything Bare Jams do, writing both music and lyrics through workshops and joint sessions. For their new record 'This ’n’ That' the band have rejoined forces with Loffman and returned to Larkins Farm. In full circle, to their most characteristic sound.
