“Good friends can be like brothers. They're always there to give their support without asking them. "Daniel Schamroth" is here to remind us this truth. Sings with his guitar, bringing hope and positive thoughts in a quite acceptable way.”

British, Devon born singer-songwriter Daniel Schamroth, releases his new EP ‘Friends & Brothers’.

The stripped back, five-track acoustic project was released Friday (February 4), via So, Let’s Talk. The recording of four tracks took place at Propagation House in Cornwall, with producer James Bragg, whose credits include Sports Team and Jack Steadman, and another track was recorded with Danny Hembrow, in his living room.

Described as "simply incredible" by BBC Introducing South West, Schamroth cites influences such as Ryan Adams and The Beatles, behind his folk infused lo-if indie style.

Schamroth, who is also lead singer of Indie band The Loft Club, has previously supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and shared the stage with the likes of The Charlatans, and Ben Ottewell from Gomez. His catalogue with The Loft Club, has been streamed over one million times on Spotify alone, and includes co-writes and collaborations with Grammy Award-winning folk singer Lisa Loeb, and two-time Grammy Award winner Pras Michel of the Fugees. The bands single “Flicker,” last year reached Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart in the US.

The artwork for ‘Friends & Brothers’ was both shot and designed by Alice Schamroth, and taken at Frankfurt's new hotel, Lindley Lindenberg.

“Starting as a lyrical, Acoustic song, "Together Rmx" suddenly develops into an elegant Folk. You immediately start sinking in its atmosphere, while you heartbeat becomes stronger. An impressive voice and beautiful melody guarantee your pleasure.”

“Начинаясь как лирическая, акустическая песня, трек внезапно перерастает в элегантный фолк, в атмосфере которого начинаешь сразу тонуть, жадно глотая остатки кислорода. Впечатляющий голос и красивая мелодия, слушать которые одно удовольствие.”

Mason Harms – Little Things (Spotify)

“This song reminds us of the significant role our parents play in every single step of our lives. The "Little Things" you usually overlook, can make a big difference in every future challenge. Beautiful Acoustic song with lyrics of deep meaning.”

-Nagamag.com

The first lines of the song are true! One night I was driving home late and I saw some guy passed out in a busy intersection! Pulling over, I drug the guy to the side of the road and rolled him on his side because he was choking on his own vomit.

This made me think, "How did this guy get here, and why am I not in the same place?" The blessings I have today can be traced back to my families help and health in my life as I was growing up. Wether it be my mom helping me with my dyslexia or my dad simply affirming me, these little things added up. This song is to celebrate good parents who set their kids up well for success.

Not everybody has good parents, but my hope is that everybody could see how the sacrifices of their families helped them and would cause them to express gratitude and encourage parents to keep doing a good job raising their kids.

Cynthia Catania describes Only Time Will Tell as a “pandemic fairytale” and a “medieval take on a modern plague.” The small joys and deep sorrows of a seemingly endless pandemic were experienced worldwide and inspired this song and video. The emptiness of tourist destinations, small comforts in the home, and unexpected growth of intimacy with our most cherished loved ones whom we hunkered down with. The video was shot in Avignon, France, where the Palace of Popes reminds us that plagues have always been a part of our world, as they once ravaged this beautiful French castle fortress in the 14th century. It’s how we deal with these ravaging forces of nature that distinguish our humanity. (Directed by Sue Ann Pien, cast member of As We See It currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

Ava Della Pietra – power of you (Spotify)

“The fresh release of "Ava Della Pietra" reminds us the power we keep hidden inside ourselves. That power of will, which can make us superhumans and pursue our dreams. The artist's sweet voice fits perfectly with this calm Acoustic sound, offering a joyful listening touch.”

power of you is a song about overcoming other people’s expectations, living life free of outside influences, and making one’s own unique choices.”
— Ava Della Pietra

https://www.avadellapietra.com/

"With more than 600,000 streams, 60k social media followers, and 1 million YouTube views, Ava Della Pietra has emerged as one of the most promising young artists on the pop scene today."
One of Ava’s earliest memories of performing in public was singing Somewhere over the Rainbow at the tender age of four. Looking back, the ‘dreams that she dreamed of’ really have come true. By six, she had a theatrical agent, and at seven, she performed in 27 cities as Little Cosette with the 25th Anniversary National touring production of Les Misérables. Soon after, Ava toured for two months in White Christmas and by ten she began a two-year run on Broadway as a member of the original cast of School of Rock. During her time on Broadway, Ava performed at the Tony Awards, in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and in front of countless audience members (including the likes of Barbra Streisand and Andrew Lloyd Webber himself).
A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele, Ava recorded her first song when she was ten. Songwriting is something that has always come naturally. “Songs tend to come to me when I am outside taking a walk or riding my bicycle. I will sing a verse and a chorus into my phone, and then when I get back inside, I write it all down and put chords to it on either the ukulele, piano, or guitar”. After School of Rock, Ava knew she was ready to produce, release and perform her own music.
So continued Ava’s incredible musical journey. She connected with producer Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson, Beyoncé) and had the amazing opportunity to work with him in the UK. The results were three songs Ava’s listeners have embraced: Optimist (which reached #50 on the Top 40 radio chart and was singled out by media outlets such as American Songwriter, Just Jared Jr., and Newsday), Christmas Tonight (named one of the best new Holiday singles of 2019 by Tiger Beat), and Home - a song about the border crisis which Parade magazine called “a pop ray of hope”.
As she now embarks on the next chapter of her musical career, Ava is focusing on a more acoustic path for her upcoming releases. Ava is setting her sights high, working again with Hicks as well as producers Steven Martinez, Adrian Gurvitz (Andra Day, Ziggy Marley), Ava has written over 80 songs, 32 while quarantining with her family on Long Island. “My creativity was really flowing; all my emotions manifested themselves into new lyrics.”
Some of Ava’s songs are centered around her own experiences, while others focus on issues she sees around her. “I recently wrote I’ve Been Thinking, about childhood friendship, that recalls the carefree days and laughing out loud, and reflects on the importance of keeping in touch”.
In another new track, power of you, Ava sings about overcoming other people’s expectations, living life free of outside influences, and making her own choices. “I realized that I am capable of making decisions that are right for me, without letting others’ hopes and fears affect me. Even being in the studio with a new producer can be intimidating, but I work on sharing my vision and what I believe in, so we can get creative and go for it.”
While the topics of her songs range from friendships to love to boys to world issues, when she’s writing, Ava spends a lot of time with her lyrics, knowing that they will always be a place in time that she has captured. “Music is such a powerful way to convey my thoughts and ideas; it’s like a journal, a true snapshot of my life. Looking at it retrospectively, it has helped me discover a lot about myself - I hope my songs do the same for others.

Dennis J Leise – I Only Do It Cause I Have To (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Melancholic, but with a sense of humour song that reveals how our life sometimes turns into a routine of monotonous and repetitive actions. Light music and nice voice from -Dennis j Leise- who will not leave you indifferent.”

“Меланхоличная, немного грустная, но с изрядной долей юмора песня, которая повествует о том, как порой наша жизнь превращается в рутину однообразных и повторяющихся действий. Лёгкая музыка и приятный голос -Dennis J Leise-, которые не оставят вас равнодушными.”

-Nagamag.com

Dennis J. Leise doesn’t mince words. When you’re listening to his tightly-written throwback country-folk songs, you’ll know exactly where he stands — he makes sure of that. His language is straightforward, his couplets are clever and memorable, and his observational eye is unsparing. That’s especially true when he turns his wit on himself. “I Only Do It ‘Cause I Have To,” his latest single, is an exercise in pithy poetry; it’s also an honest confession of exhaustion and a protest against the dullness of routine. It’s that sort of incisive writing that has made the Northwest Indiana farmer-musician a favorite of the Chicago Reader and other Midwestern arbiters of artistic and literary excellence.

But what, you may wonder, is it that the weary Leise is doing because he has to, not because he wants to? While he couldn’t be any franker about his emotional state, he’s not telling us its precipitating cause. The title of his album, however, provides a clue. The World That You Grew Up In Is No More is a collection of hard-time ballads and country stompers, Cash-style barnyard rave-ups and wry, plainspoken Guthrie-like protests. The sound is classic, but the sentiment is urgent and forward-looking. Dennis J. Leise is no nostalgiac. He’s got a voice that could be coming from dusty old 78s, but he uses it to deliver broadsides against smug moralists, in-the-way politicians, unapologetic consumerists, and even a drunken Santa Claus. He’s got a farmer’s impatience with authority figures, in other words, and he’s no fan of mindless conservatism or tradition for its own sake.

So when he tells us that he’s only doing something because he has to, it has a particular force. It comes from an artist who has mastered the old ways of doing things but deemed them insufficient and who isn’t afraid to face a changing world. In the clip for the song, we’re shown Leise at his grind, on his very real farm, pitching hay to the animals and attending to grueling chores. Don’t worry — he’s not disenchanted with his rural existence. He’s just as committed to sustainable agriculture as he’s always been. Instead, it’s a metaphor for the sort of automatic labor that keeps a thinker stuck in his ways and that Leise, a broadminded person, is determined to transcend.
