“Even with such strong vocals, the instrumental part is not lost on the background. On the contrary, the rhythm and mood of Synthpop clearly make their hit! Positive work, with melodic lyrics and excellent performance.”

“Даже при наличии такого молодого и сильного вокалиста инструментальная составляющаяся не теряется на его фоне. Наоборот — ритм и настроение synthpop отчётливо дают понять, что перед нами хит! Энергичная, позитивная, с очень мелодичными текстами песня и с великолепным исполнением!”

Ava Della Pietra – power of you (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“The fresh release of "Ava Della Pietra" reminds us the power we keep hidden inside ourselves. That power of will, which can make us superhumans and pursue our dreams. The artist's sweet voice fits perfectly with this calm Acoustic sound, offering a joyful listening touch.”

-Nagamag.com

power of you is a song about overcoming other people’s expectations, living life free of outside influences, and making one’s own unique choices.”
— Ava Della Pietra

https://www.avadellapietra.com/

"With more than 600,000 streams, 60k social media followers, and 1 million YouTube views, Ava Della Pietra has emerged as one of the most promising young artists on the pop scene today."
One of Ava’s earliest memories of performing in public was singing Somewhere over the Rainbow at the tender age of four. Looking back, the ‘dreams that she dreamed of’ really have come true. By six, she had a theatrical agent, and at seven, she performed in 27 cities as Little Cosette with the 25th Anniversary National touring production of Les Misérables. Soon after, Ava toured for two months in White Christmas and by ten she began a two-year run on Broadway as a member of the original cast of School of Rock. During her time on Broadway, Ava performed at the Tony Awards, in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and in front of countless audience members (including the likes of Barbra Streisand and Andrew Lloyd Webber himself).
A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele, Ava recorded her first song when she was ten. Songwriting is something that has always come naturally. “Songs tend to come to me when I am outside taking a walk or riding my bicycle. I will sing a verse and a chorus into my phone, and then when I get back inside, I write it all down and put chords to it on either the ukulele, piano, or guitar”. After School of Rock, Ava knew she was ready to produce, release and perform her own music.
So continued Ava’s incredible musical journey. She connected with producer Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson, Beyoncé) and had the amazing opportunity to work with him in the UK. The results were three songs Ava’s listeners have embraced: Optimist (which reached #50 on the Top 40 radio chart and was singled out by media outlets such as American Songwriter, Just Jared Jr., and Newsday), Christmas Tonight (named one of the best new Holiday singles of 2019 by Tiger Beat), and Home - a song about the border crisis which Parade magazine called “a pop ray of hope”.
As she now embarks on the next chapter of her musical career, Ava is focusing on a more acoustic path for her upcoming releases. Ava is setting her sights high, working again with Hicks as well as producers Steven Martinez, Adrian Gurvitz (Andra Day, Ziggy Marley), Ava has written over 80 songs, 32 while quarantining with her family on Long Island. “My creativity was really flowing; all my emotions manifested themselves into new lyrics.”
Some of Ava’s songs are centered around her own experiences, while others focus on issues she sees around her. “I recently wrote I’ve Been Thinking, about childhood friendship, that recalls the carefree days and laughing out loud, and reflects on the importance of keeping in touch”.
In another new track, power of you, Ava sings about overcoming other people’s expectations, living life free of outside influences, and making her own choices. “I realized that I am capable of making decisions that are right for me, without letting others’ hopes and fears affect me. Even being in the studio with a new producer can be intimidating, but I work on sharing my vision and what I believe in, so we can get creative and go for it.”
While the topics of her songs range from friendships to love to boys to world issues, when she’s writing, Ava spends a lot of time with her lyrics, knowing that they will always be a place in time that she has captured. “Music is such a powerful way to convey my thoughts and ideas; it’s like a journal, a true snapshot of my life. Looking at it retrospectively, it has helped me discover a lot about myself - I hope my songs do the same for others.

Madeline Rose – Landlocked (Spotify)

“This music travels you through your own memories. It's amazing how everything sounds organic, original and solid. As if the instrumental part and vocals were created by each other. Surprisingly harmonious work too.”

“Эта музыка как способ утонуть в ностальгии собственных воспоминаний. Удивительно, как всё звучит органично, оригинально и цельно. Словно инструментальная составляющая и вокал созданы друг друга. На удивление гармоничная работа!”

Landlocked is Madeline Rose's debut single. It is about dealing with culture shock, loneliness, and being homesick. The lyrics are honest and unique to my story, yet relatable to so many young people who are longing for the next chapter of their life.

Erika Tham – Shhh (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Erika Tham raises the temperature with her seductive and super hot vibe, which can leave you speechless. Attractive voice, decorated with some light percussion elements and highly artistic clip that exceeds our expectations.”

-Nagamag.com

https://outnow.io/t/erikathamshhh

LA-based pop/R&B singer-songwriter and actress Erika Tham makes a fiery entrance this year with new single “Shhh” and premieres the coinciding Patrick Wilcox-directed video today. Co-written with GRAMMY-nominated producers Deion Gill (Kelly Rowland, Miguel, Playboi Carti, Usher) and Major Myjah (Chris Brown, J.Cole, Ty Dolla $ign), the tongue-in-cheek track demonstrates Erika’s lyrical wit and seductive flow as she puts every mansplaining fuckboy firmly in their place. Paying homage to the unapologetic female pop stars of the ‘90s, “Shhh” is a loose spin off Shania Twain’s 1997 megahit “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and laced with alluring Asian string instrumentation against a modern R&B production.

“‘Shhh’ came together off the back of a joke made during a writing session. I remember talking to Deion Gill and Major Myjah, and I said ‘you know when someone’s cute, until they open their mouth and ruin it?’” Erika Tham explains, “It’s a fun, feminine, and coquettish song that was equally as fun to make. When it came to writing the verses, I wanted to pay homage to the sassy, unapologetic pop stars of the ‘90s. The line ‘your daddy’s black card don’t impress me much’ was inspired by Shania Twain’s iconic ‘Don’t Impress Me Much’ but with a twist and subject matter that felt authentic and relatable to my real life and so many other women. The rest of the song is honestly just the result of three friends talking shit and gassing each other up.” On the video, she adds, “Patrick and I juxtaposed the fantasy and glamour of cabaret with somewhat of a horror backdrop. We felt the contrast fit the mood and mysterious energy of the song.”

In a true blend of forces, DVBBS and Galantis team up for their new single “When The Lights Go Down,” enlisting famed Australian singer/songwriter and musician Cody Simpson. Opening with organic instrumentals, the track incorporates both artists’ signature sounds with Cody’s soulful vocals and groovy, upbeat melodies for a fusion of pop and dance, which hits right in the feels. The collaboration between DVBBS and Simpson has actually been a long time coming as they already had a song together years ago and even performed it live at Ultra Music Festival, which unfortunately never came out. The story comes full circle to finish it together with Galantis, who turn into gold everything they touch. “When The Lights Go Down” follows DVBBS’s 3rd studio album “SLEEP” as well as “Body Mind Sound” single with Benny Benassi, while Galantis ride the wave of “Sweet Talker” with Years & Years and “Alien” with Lucas & Steve and ILIRA. Cody Simpson is currently gearing up for his first album release in 7 years and its lead single “Nice to Meet You.”

“We’ve shared stages all around the world with legends Galantis over the last decade and couldn’t be happier to now share this record together. We’ve also watched Cody Simpson grow into the amazing artist he is. He performed a record with us years ago at Ultra Music Festival that never came out. So, we had to finish the story right, and that’s ‘When The Lights Go Down.'” – DVBBS

“Happy to kick off 2022 with our friends DVBBS and Cody on ‘When The Lights Go Down'” – Galantis

“When the DVBBS boys reached out about collabing on this track, I was stoked. To lend vocals and guitars on this was a pleasure. I’ve been a fan of both Galantis and DVBBS for a while now. Glad to be able to come together on a smash like this, and I hope everyone digs it as much as we do.” – Cody Simpson

DVBBS:

Only a few producers have risen to the top in the electronic music scene as quickly as DVBBS, who captured the industry’s attention with hits like “Tsunami” and “Not Going Home” and never let it go. The Canadian brothers Alex and Christopher have been continuously cultivating their sound since their debut in 2012 and have racked up an impressive display of collaborations with renowned names from diverse musical backgrounds, such as blackbear, 24kGoldn, Jasmine Thompson, Belly, NERVO, Juicy J, and more. DVBBS continue to prove there’s nothing they can’t accomplish. Their hits such as “La La Land,” “Gold Skies,” and the breakthrough “Angel” are staples in every dance music fan’s library. Prior to the global pandemic, DVBBS performed a staggering 250 dates per year at some of the world’s hottest music festivals and top-tier clubs, including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, Hakkasan Las Vegas or Ibiza’s Amnesia, and Ushuaia. Throughout their career, DVBBS has proved they are relentlessly dedicated to expanding their global footprint and bringing cutting-edge new music to their listeners.

Galantis:

Setting a new standard for songwriting in dance music, Galantis is a collaborative project led by Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy, one-third of Miike Snow). Galantis’ debut album “Pharmacy” reached #1 on the Billboard Dance album chart on the strength of RIAA gold-certified single “Peanut Butter Jelly” and platinum-certified smash “Runaway (U & I)” – the latter of which earned GRAMMY nominations for “Best Dance Recording” and Best Remixed Recording – while the 2017 sophomore album “The Aviary” (featuring the platinum-certified single “No Money”) saw a top 10 debut in 23 countries. The third Galantis album “Church” features the chart-topping single “Faith” with country music icon Dolly Parton featuring Dutch singer-songwriter Mr. Probz, which saw a #1 debut on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Chart before quickly reaching #1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart where it remained for 5 weeks. Galantis has received over 4 billion cumulative worldwide streams and over 1 billion video views to date. More recently, Galantis teamed up with Little Mix and David Guetta on the 2021 summer smash “Heartbreak Anthem,” which debuted at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes charts and secured the #1 spot at UK airplay and Shazam charts.

Cody Simpson:

The early 2010s were defined by a fast-growing social media presence and swiftly changing broadcasting landscape. Cody Simpson shot to fame during this time, uploading home videos of musical covers to YouTube. His heart-led performances would catch the attention of record executives in California as well as viewers all around the world. The undeniably gifted youngster would go from curating bedroom clips of his favorite artists to signing a record deal and touring the United States within a year. An eagerly anticipated first collection of music was released to the public with the working title “Coast to Coast” EP and peaked at an upright 12th on the US Billboard Chart. Released in 2015, “Free” marked Simpson’s first independent record production and his last full-length album to date. Shortly after its release, Simpson formed Cody Simpson and the Tide and went on to produce a further two EPs titled “Wave two” and “B-sides.” These pieces of work marked a changing sound and a noticeable maturation concerning his music’s demeanor and sonic appeal. Growing as a man of depth, he would also later garner an aptitude for the stage, earning him the leading male role in the hit Broadway musical Anastasia during the latter part of 2018 and early 2019. Moncrieff – Warm (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“This track is so warm and bright that its entire essence is reflected in its name. It projects a high-speed journey into consciousness through countless dimensions, but in the end returns us to the beloved land. This is the perfect song to realize, how important it is to be somewhere they love you.”

“Музыка настолько тёплая и светлая, что вся её суть отражена в её же название. Трек проецирует в сознание высокоскоростное путешествие сквозь миллионы вселенных, но в итоге возвращает нас на любимую землю. Это идеальная песня для осознания, как важно быть там, где тебя любят и ждут!”

-Nagamag.com

https://www.instagram.com/_moncrieff/

Having performed with Adele and impressed greats like Elton John and Avicii with his songwriting, Irish-born singer/songwriter Moncrieff has just signed to German label Energie Musik and drops his brand new single “Warm” on 21 January across all digital platforms – ahead of his new EP which is set for release in Spring 2022.

Moncrieff’s “first-ever love song”, the latest track is incredibly personal and catchy. “I remember everything/the picnic in the park/how the rain played on the roof that night” Moncrieff sings over the crisp, spellbinding, no-frills arrangement. A heartfelt promise coming from an extremely promising new talent, “Warm” is pure sonic commitment, “a song that does what it says on the tin,” when Moncrieff sings that he’ll “be there keeping you warm”.

Speaking of the single Moncrieff says “Nobody’s perfect. This song is about being that person, and that rare moment in life when you find that person that truly sees you for you, your imperfections, flaws and scars as well as your good traits and loves you for them. It’s a really comforting and happy feeling to just know that all you have to do is be yourself.”

Moncrieff certainly didn’t rush things; he’s been working on his songwriting skills for years, and now he’s about to unleash a batch of songs that need “no bells and whistles,” as he puts it: “Warm” is condensed, crisp, straightforward pop that’s poignant and personal. A simple, heart-felt tune that immediately pricks listeners’ ears, even makes you want to sing along towards the end. A song about acceptance and dealing with another person’s faults, it feels soothing and “warm” indeed – like a sonic safety net of sorts.

Not only just a love story but a story of youth and what is really important in life, the small things that we take for granted – rainy nights and sunny days, and learning to appreciate sharing moments in our lives together.

Written and recorded with a deliberately small team of musician friends, “Warm” is the latest testament to Moncrieff’s incredible songwriting gift – a gift that has already brought him a great deal of attention in Ireland. Growing up in the countryside, he was into classic Soul and R&B at 16 – in love with big, massive voiced icons like Otis Redding, Etta James, and Ray Charles. When his sister and, two years later, his older brother passed away, music became more and more important as an outlet, a way to deal with loss and the emotional turmoil. “As a young teenage boy, you just don’t really have the tools to express yourself, you can’t really put it in words“ admits the singer, who initially played in a cover band but eventually moved to London to really focus on music and his craft.

Owing his moniker to “some banker guy” who offered encouragement (and some beers) during an early phase of doubt, it didn’t take long until some of the biggest names took notice: A friend got him to sing backing vocals for Adele who was shooting a BBC performance, and soon after that, shortly after the release of his debut single, he learned that even Sir Elton John had played the single on his show. Right before Avicii’s death, Moncrieff had already booked a flight to L.A., where he was supposed to work with the Swedish superstar producer.

He released an EP entitled “The Early Hurts” , including 10 million Spotify streams on track “Serial Killer” only to take some more time to work on his craft as a songwriter: “I now have the tools to create really personal, simple and direct songs that don’t need to have any bells and whistles to tell the story. Music has always been a lens that I use to look at the world… and to process my feelings.”

Moncrieff’s first release following signing to German label Energie Musik “Warm” is out on Friday 21 January, with his brand new EP scheduled for release in Spring 2022.
