Sonically evoking the spirit of Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia and building on the disco resurgence of the last few years, Penkin’s latest offering is an upbeat earworm ready to soundtrack your next carefree night out.

““Love Sex Fame” is about stepping out, feeling yourself and living for yourself and your own wants and needs,” Kat explains and she certainly gets what she wants in the track’s music video. Starring as a Marilyn-esque figure, she fools the players of a back room poker game with her charm, wit and girl gang by her side.

For Kat, the song is about taking things at face value, something which comes naturally to the rising star. “I feel so empowered when I’m listening to “Love Sex Fame”,” she says, “I’ve never really been too precious about transactional interactions with people, I don’t tend to feel too attached or think too far ahead, I just want to enjoy the funny little dance you do with a potential love interest and take it for what it is.”

Born in Devon, raised in Perth, Australia, and now based in Brighton, Kat has been hard at work writing and developing her nostalgic, but fresh sound. Blending relatable lyrics with pop, R&B and soulful influences, her music is a unique melting pot of sensibility and sass.

Fostering a community of loyal fans and tastemaker support through her independent single releases last year, “Love Sex Fame” is the second preview of her forthcoming debut EP Checkmate, set for release early next year with Ultra Records.

The new single follows her lockdown-inspired debut “A Better Time” supported by Wonderland and New Music Friday UK. FKA Ripsy May, this is the debut single by ‘Ripsime’. Written and produced by the British Armenian musician and artist, ‘Tell me the lie’ was written 1 week before the war in Armenia back in 2020.

The music video contains never seen before footage from a film that Ripsime shot with Au Fait films back in October 2018 in the region of Artsakh (Armenia). In October 2020, war broke out and 2/3 of the land given away with much of it destroyed.

Breakout pop-EDM songstress Rêve unveils her latest track, “CTRL + ALT + DEL,” produced by Montreal production duo Banx & Ranx (Dua Lipa, Sia, Little Mix, Sean Paul). Drawing inspiration from the heydays of 90s sophisticated Euro sound, the lyrically clever “CTRL + ALT + DEL” arrives just in time as the 2021 anthem. “CTRL+ALT + DELETE ‘EM. The track is released today alongside its video, imagined by Anthony Hachez and directed by Adem Boutlidja. “I Won’t Give Up” is an uplifting love song. It focuses on the feeling of knowing you’ll support through the highs and lows. I wrote the song with my very good friend Sillkey. We’d hired an Airbnb halfway between our houses (between London and Brighton) to write for 3 days. This song came out of nowhere! From the first idea to having the demo recorded was no more than 2 hours.” - Ryan adds.

Singer-songwriter, surfer and mental health advocate. South Devon-born Ryan has written and toured with Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, Leona Lewis and Tom Odell to name a few. Ryan’s debut album, ‘Room For Light’, ranked highly in singer-songwriter iTunes charts globally which led to a sell-out UK tour and two headline tours in Europe. Alongside his solo career, Ryan is a part of the band SLANG and has written for other artists including Noah Kahan, Jasmine Thompson and Kolidescopes. Ryan’s passion for mental health led him to working with I Am Whole and later leading Movember’s music and mental health projects. He has now founded a new music/mental health charity in the UK.

Ryan has been writing and recording a lot behind the scenes - he co-wrote Noah Kahan’s single “Animal, as well as writing with Corey Harper, Jasmine Thompson and Jacob Banks - but is now very happy to be releasing “I Won’t Give Up”, “ leading up to an album release in 2022.”, he adds.
