“Composistion with very vigorous arrangement and electrified unique vocals! Its unique skill is simple, without unnecessary sounds. Moving between different stages of this production, the general perception is just privileged!”

“Очень бодрая аранжировка, ровный, размеренный темп композиции наэлектризованный уникальным вокалом! Неповторимое умение легко, без лишних звуков, переходить между разными этапами композиции, от чего общее восприятие только преумножается!”

RIAA and ARIA platinum certified Australian music writer, producer, remixer and DJ Ryan Riback has released his original single ‘(Just Can’t) Hate U’ featuring Dotter today via New Tribe Music/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Hailing from Johannesburg but calling Melbourne his home, Ryan Riback is one of the most in demand remixers, having worked on remixes for Kelly Clarkson, Clean Bandit, Maroon 5, Kygo, LAUV and Khalid to name a few. Most notably, his remix of Starley’s ‘Call On Me’ is now certified ARIA Triple Platinum and RIAA Platinum, hitting the top of the charts around the globe, when at the time, both were virtually unknown artists. The quiet achiever has amassed well over one billion streams.

Although he loves remixing records, Riback’s passion is in his own releases and collaborations and now he's back with his next single, ‘(Just Can't) Hate U’. An anthemic pop record about break ups and not being able to let go, the track was produced by Ryan in Melbourne. On how the track came about, Ryan says, “My team sent me the demo of this record and I immediately fell in love with the concept. I loved the vocal delivery and the feel of it. It feels super current, so I took it, laid down some Riback vibes. Honestly, it came together quickly!”

The track follows on from Riback’s original single ‘Wrong’ (featuring Olivia Noelle), released in June 2020. Fusing pop sensibilities with an infectious midtempo club beat and buoyed by Olivia’s melodic vocals, ‘Wrong’ highlighted Riback’s talent to produce immediately recognisable pop bangers, amassing over 1.5 million worldwide streams.

Ryan Riback is not your average pop/dance music producer. He prefers to lock himself away in his Melbourne studio collaborating remotely, playing video games, laughing at memes/dad jokes, and considering the reality of extra-terrestrials infiltrating the upper echelons of government.

With the pandemic slowing things down, Riback has been spending time with his family. He notes, “I've done bits of music here and there, but I've kind of been saving all the good stuff for when the world started to open up again"

“Совершенно потрясающая атмосфера, насыщенная, густая и с нарастающей мощностью и энергией! Благодаря вокалу, в котором ощущается особая трепетность в исполнение и профессионализм, создаётся повышенная динамика. Настоящее украшение всего трека!”

Hailing from Bristol, and having formed at the beginning of 2020 just before Covid pop-trio KOKO sure didn’t have the most promising head start in terms of timings, however though beat the odds and had great success, media coverage and DSP support (a.o. numerous NMF playlists) with their debut EP. Stepping up the game and putting an even more pop-oriented twist on their alt-pop smasher sound spiced with indie & delivered with hip hop swagger taken from The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar, KOKO signed with Humming Records in 2021.

“Drifting through on my way up. She executes these lyrics in a superb matter. We really enjoyed the smooth composition and the complexity of the sounds layered over that fresh broken beat. Its bright its fun and we couldn’t stop tapping our feet. ”

-Nagamag.com

Artist shared a story behind this song:

"The past year something in me sort of snapped. I’m not sure if it was from the intensity of the pandemic, or the move back to my home state of California and reconnecting to my roots. But a lot of my beliefs about myself and the world have changed drastically.

I always lived with this anxiety like something horrible was just around the corner, but I started asking myself “What if it turns out better than you imagined?” Honestly, I really don’t know if it will! And for the first time in my life I feel so content with not knowing. It’s freeing- I wanted to weave all of it into a song.

And it was one of those days in the studio that felt electric. Daniel Pashman (producer) and I were paired to work together for the very first time and just really hit it off. I remember laughing the whole time, so happy about the melodies and sounds we were playing with.

Since then, “On My Way Up” has become such a familiar friend to me—on hard days, it literally helped me get out of bed and remember all of those realizations from the last year. Like I would blast it in my headphones and just laugh and dance around while making my morning tea. I hope listeners get to feel that too."

“Yeah baby we are ready for this weekend more then ever. What a way to start the party. Something about this properly broken beat that just wants to make you move. The duality of the female/male voice is stitched well and we enjoyed that trap breakdown transitioning into a house groove. ”

Fast-rising France-based producer DJ Mike Klaw has returned with his incredible new single, “WKND”. And “WKND”, one of his best releases to date, looks set to continue his exciting run and round out his 2021 in style.

Originally from Guyana, DJ Mike Klaw has been involved in music since the age of five when he began as a pianist. After relocating to France as a teenager, he expanded his musical palette and took up an interest in DJing and then producing. Emei – Late To The Party (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“We tend to live our life fast, constantly being in rush and always comparing ourselves with others. What's the reason for all this? "Emei" reminds us the fact that being "Late To The Party" is absolutely normal at all. Lovely Electro Pop single that brings its positive energy in your place. Relax and enjoy.”

-Nagamag.com

Late to the Party is about my feelings around the pressures placed to achieve so much at a ridiculously young age. Inspired by constant comparison to 17-year-olds breaking records, the song asks “what is all the rush for?”. As the first alt-pop record made with producer, LEXIM, Late to the Party has a new badass against-the-grain attitude. The chorus will leave you singing "twenty one without a grammy or degree” regardless of your age or status.

SoftWave – System Failure (Video)

Categories: Blogwave, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“We tend to communicate via electronic means, but can this replace psysical contact? Dive into the hypnotizing synth patterns of “System Failure”. Unique Blogwave bomb that is ready to blow in your mind. This is your chance to restart and synchronize with sound!”

-Nagamag.com

A failure appeared right after SoftWave reached the pinnacle of their career thus far, touring with OMD (February 2020). The government’s new system of lockdowns and several restrictions pulled SoftWave away from their daily routine, deadlines, playing gigs and other immediate future plans.

http://www.softwavemusic.com/

But nothing can get in the way of SoftWave: Jerry kept on producing new music and Catrine observed how the Covid19 crisis affected people mentally around the world, which inspired her to write lyrics to the forthcoming new single “System Failure”. Some people have been struggling to accept the new normal and others simply chose to go with the stream. “System Failure” describes the duality of being isolated in many months without associating with others, and how much life with a computer can disturb the mind and even provoke frustration, depression and in rare cases – anger.

https://softwave.bandcamp.com/merch

The single seeks to show how important it is to maintain a permanent balance, a harmony between connecting with other people via a computer – and actually socializing in physical form.

https://twitter.com/SoftWaveMusic

A contrast between the modern and traditional way of communication, for lack of better wording. For the first time ever SoftWave has included vocoded vocals by Jerry, to emphasize how much certain people live their lives through a computer – and almost communicate to the world with it.

https://www.instagram.com/softwave_music/

The new single is followed by a music video that takes the song’s message to a higher level, reinforced by a Nordic and electric “popish energy”, delivered by the Danish synthpop duo you may know as SoftWave.
