The 27-year-old pianist Benjamin Grundahl is a rising piano talent in the neoclassical genre. There is nothing quite like the soft depression of a piano key. Expressing serenity through his four pieces 'Ohm & I', 'Sol', 'Atomos', and 'Ad Hoc', the medium-slow instrumentals calm and relax you - and almost make you sonder. On the piece 'Ohm & I', it oozes serenity and tranquility through the soothing, serene melancholy notes paint pictures of Scandinavian forests, calm lakes, and fresh morning mist. On 'Ohm & I', you can expect light piano with deep emotion.

Harry Taylor has released a heartfelt new song about his love story with NYC: "Cross the Skyline"

It's an incredibly relatable song that deals with the artist’s experience in New York, a place that is not only a city, but a true character in the story of the track, a magical setting that turns out to be the artist’s best friend. If you have ever experienced the process of moving away from home, especially in a busy city like NYC, you probably know how hectic and difficult it might be to adapt. However, there is also a positive side to it: exploring new places, meeting new people and going on adventures that will become memories for a lifetime. It is really all about drawing a line on all the negative stuff from the past, and allowing the city to give you a fresh start, with the best that it has to offer.

“Its the anthem for everyone who’s tired to be the one played with their feelings and showing how you can survive and rise above it all, literally watch me cross the skyline!”

This is a quintessential pop song, but it’s creative and it combines different ideas, while still remaining very catchy and direct! In addition to the meaning of the track, the song is musically excellent. It stands out because of the sheer quality of the production. The mix is balanced and very detail-oriented, making for a lively, edgy and stark sonic approach.

On this gorgeously transporting slice of organica, Mexican house & tech maestros Tom & Collins team up with Haiti's Francis Mercier, whose song 'Sete' with Blond:ish and Amadou & Mariam was one of the breakout dance tracks of the year, reaching #2 on Beatport, garnering praise in Billboard and play from Pete Tong and Black Coffee. Sure to light up dancefloors from Ibiza to Burning Man and beyond, 'No Me Importa' is out on Realm Records, Gorgon City's bespoke label of quality international floor-fillers.

‘No Me Importa is a great musical balance between Francis’ and our roots.. we tried to put a lot of emotion in the chords and, combined with simple Spanish lyrics, we think it’ll be great for the dance floor and connecting with people's emotions.’ -Tom & Collins

‘I’m fluent in Spanish, and instantly fell in love with this topline. I wanted to share the project with my favorite Latin DJ duo, Tom & Collins, to let as many Spanish-speaking individuals experience the power and lyrical significance of this record - to be proud of one’s eccentricities and not care what others think.’ -Francis Mercier

Plaster Cast – Control

“The new release from “Plaster Cast” is a hypnotic call into Synthwave and Indie. The vocal duet will steal your impression and create a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Concentrate on this smooth sound and discover its value in less than three minutes!”

-Nagamag.com

Next week Plaster Cast is announcing their new EP Control, which is set for an August 12th release. It follows the release of Performance in 2016 on Zoom Lens, which made its way to the likes of Gorilla Vs Bear, The Fader, Vice and more.

The new EP expands the sound, becoming both a version of timeless pop for lone bedroom sessions or anthemic festival choruses, akin to peers like Chromatics, girl in red, and Yumi Zouma. An intersection of warmth and isolation conveys Plaster Cast’s desire to acknowledge their own literal and symbolic closeness and distance, each member shaped by their own reality and locations (LA, NYC, Pacific Northwest, Midwest) and bringing it to a common forefront.

They are releasing the title track “Control” next Tuesday — a real Balearic meets bedroom juxtaposition — complete with a fitting video to go along with it.
