“Bobby Zimmerman” by Cozi anda Flounder | Rock Song Review

Music Review:

Lyrics of Cozi anda Flounder – Bobby Zimmerman

Deluth Minnesota
I recall that’s where you’re from
Hitched a ride to New York City
Bound for glory with a song
All the world would sing along
Northern girls won’t be alone
What if that boy from Minnesota
Never left his hibbing home

There’d be Me and Dan
And Bobby Zimmerman
Next to Me
Our hearts freewheelin’

On the floor playing records
Did Jimmy Rogers steal a kiss
Just a year they said you’re gone
It’s the music that I miss
If all the world would sing along
This northern girl will be alone
What if that boy from Minnesota
Never left his girl alone

There’d be Me and Dan
And Bobby Zimmerman
Next to Me
Our hearts freewheelin’
On to Guthery
He left his echo
Now I’m the California
You’re the New York Island

Running down the road
20 below
Talk all night
Say I look like Bardot
You’ll go your way
And I’ll go mine
But you took my heart

It’d be Me and Dan
And Bobby Zimmerman
Next to Me
Our hearts Freewheelin’
On to Guthery
He left his echo
Now I’m the California
You’re the New York Island

I’m the California
You’re the New York Island
I’m the California
You’re the New York Island
I’m the California
You’re the New York Island
I’m the California
You’re the New York Island
