Kendall Jane Meade, praised by The New York Times for her ability to transform folk-rock into elegant pop and compared by Spin Magazine to Carly Simon’s confessional songwriting style, draws inspiration from 1960s and 1970s folk and pop legends such as Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Carole King, as well as indie pop acts like Camera Obscura and The Softies.
An accomplished musician, Meade has contributed to projects with Sparklehorse, Helium, The Spinanes, Lloyd Cole, and others, with her original music featured in television shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Chuck. Recently, she has collaborated with Kris Gruen, Leroy From The North, and Jon DeRosa on an EP of John Prine covers.
Her latest solo album, SPACE, produced by Charles Newman, was recorded in Los Angeles, New York City, and Detroit.
