Song Review: “Counting Sheep” by Lucille Two | A Pop Discovery

Music Review:

““Counting Sheep” by Lucille Two drifts through a dreamy pop landscape with a playful elegance that feels both nostalgic and strangely timeless. Its airy melody carries the glow of faded memories, unfolding with a lightness that quietly pulls the listener backward into moments of warmth and reflection. The vocals arrive with an almost whispered softness, wrapping the track in an intimate atmosphere that feels comforting rather than fragile. Beneath the shimmering textures, the rhythm remains calm and steady, grounding the song emotionally while allowing its sentimental undercurrent to move freely. ”

Lyrics of Lucille Two – Counting Sheep

Ever-changing
Rearranging
Dry your tears
Now dry your eyes
I don’t know
If I’m ready
I’ll be gone
I’ll be gone

Now I see
How it’s gonna be
Hoping patiently
Counting sheep
As I fall asleep
I’m far, far away

Turn me on
You know I’m waiting
You really see me
Like no-one else
No-one else

Now I see
How it’s gonna be
I will take you there

Not ordinary
My heart burns for you

Now I see
How it’s gonna be
I will take you there
Counting sheep
As I fall asleep
I’m far, far away
