“When the morning comes” by momoyo | Pop Song Review

Music Review:

Lyrics of momoyo – When the morning comes

Not yet 22 we were laying down on the crooked
wooden dock by the water
we believed in ideas and swam away fears
drank too many beers and smiled

we were determined to win and delighted by sin
felt the deep pull of the water
by death already touched, we were in a rush
to go from party to party at night
we were young and indifferent
young and indifferent

Near the lake
we came to understand
that when the morning comes
that when the morning comes
something changes inside
that when the morning comes
that when the morning comes
when the morning comes

So many good things that depart
from tiny ruptures in a heart

Maybe we’re driven apart by the dark energy
that comes from black holes in our memory
you became a creation of imagination
and then slowly just a thing of the past
we were young and indifferent
young and indifferent

Near the lake we came to understand
that when the morning comes
that when the morning comes
something changes inside
that when the morning comes
that when the morning comes
when the morning comes

So many good things that depart
from tiny ruptures in a heart
