Augustus Nyarko, better known as $illy Gusti, is an Italian artist with Ghanaian parents born in 1997.
He has lived in Italy since childhood. He grew up in the world of American trap music, from which he has always been inspired both for his lifestyle and for his music. He is the founder of afrobeat in Italy, thanks to his mix of cultures; his lyrics in Italian, English and twi (Ghanaian dialect) mixed with the sounds of afrobeat and trap bases. When he was a child he used to sing in the church choir, where he learned to create melodies. In 2014, along with his friends, he founded the group Troppos Gang, with whom he released the album “2 Many Years” and “Vengo Dal Piano. ” During that time they had a distribution partnership with “That Rabbit/Orchard/Sony Music” with whom they got to know the world of the music business, also participating in several concerts. In 2019, the album “Cavour” was released, with the hit track “These Folks. ” In 2021, “Cavour II” was released

From the vast expansiveness of the open sea to the microscopic particles of our world’s chemical makeup, this follow-up to 2018’s LEGENDS AND LIGHT is an ambitious collection of new works for large ensemble performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Brno Philharmonic. In this album, seven composers offer their insights into the components of our world through music, with works highlighting cultures, locations, forces of nature, and human life. While many of the pieces are arranged for orchestral ensembles, listeners will also find Scottish Great Highland bagpipes and Irish Uilleann pipes featured on the album, offering a deeply rewarding listening experience.

‘I Don’t Know Why’ explores the feelings of lacking connection with someone you love despite trying to immerse yourself in everything they believe in. The release features the dream-folk duo’s lush harmonies, a brass section which warmingly punctuates the track as well as a chorus which is powerful in its simplicity as it captures the soul-searching and emotion behind the song as the lyrics repeat “I don’t know why”.
Accompanying the release is a visualiser which depicts scenes as the world goes by around a canal, fitting with the sonic peacefulness and the introspective feeling of the track.
Speaking on ‘I Don’t Know Why’, Sunflower Thieves said, “The track is about how complicated close relationships can be. How the differences in the way we live our lives and follow what we think can affect our understanding of each other, and equally of ourselves.”
