The Highway is the last song that Paul wrote for his debut album 'Something To Die To' before going into the studio. It's recorded all in one take. Nothing but him and his guitar. The song paints beautiful pictures but still sends a clear emotional message. The lyrics are not too complex, but they leave room for a lot of interpretation, while I'm sure they have a very specific meaning to begin with. The song's rather high tempo for the genre is one of the many things that make you feel like you've held your breath for the entire song.

This tune really sounds like an Israeli folk song, but it goes to unexpected directions that highlights the different influences on Israeli music, like the influence of Coltrane sound and Afro-Cuban music

We tried to fuse “Afro-pop” with “RnB” and we came up with this “Afro-fusion” genre song. “Fantasy” is basically about couples who can’t be together, so it’s easier to share their imaginations (Fantasies) with their partner, just another way of connection. Sometimes you just need to leave your reality and get into a new dimension.

One realization is that at birth we go through the veil of oblivion.
Sometimes we get a sense of it when we experience deja vu or premonitions and catch a glimpse of the light on the other side of the curtain.
The piece describes the feeling of recognizing the veil and the resulting awareness of reincarnation.
