Song Critique: True Tales – Come Back | Pop Review

Music Review:

““Come Back” by True Tales bursts forward with the kind of carefree charm that feels designed for sun-faded afternoons and restless summer nights. Its playful melody glows with bright-eyed optimism, painting vivid scenes of escape and fleeting freedom without ever becoming weightless. The buoyant vocals radiate warmth and youthful energy, lifting the track with an effortless sense of momentum. Beneath them, the rhythm races ahead with celebratory abandon, turning the song into a euphoric rush of movement and nostalgia — the sort of indie-pop rush that lingers long after the music fades.”

Lyrics of True Tales – Come Back

[Intro]

I put my boots on
I gotta hit the 5 by 8
To get to my new job
Can’t afford to lose today but

I’ll be coming back, coming back I keep on coming back every time You say come back, I run back Ain’t nothing else on my mind

I’ll keep coming back, coming back, I’ll keep on coming on back to you You say come back, I run back
Tell me baby that you’ll come back too

[Instrumental]

Ten hours later and my shift is over
I was revving on back in my Corolla
So give me a kiss right here
Cuz it feels like I’ve been gone a year

Cuz I want a garden, yeah I want it all with ya
I wanna watch summer change into fall with ya
I wanna place and a view and a dog with ya
I wanna ball with ya, life off the wall with ya

I’ll be coming back, coming back
I keep on coming back every time
You say come back, I run back
Ain’t nothing else on my mind

I’ll keep coming back, coming back,
I’ll keep on coming on back to you
You say come back, I run back
Tell me baby that you’ll come back too

[Instrumental]

One more hour and my shift’ll be over
If we ain’t kissing I get a love hangover
Lucky in love, sipping wine and clover
Come on, my love, my cup is running over

You keep me coming back, coming back, running back
You got that something that I can’t define
But I don’t need calculus or calculators
to know that I’m coming back every time

I’ll be coming back, coming back
I keep on coming back every time
You say come back, I run back
Ain’t nothing else on my mind

I’ll keep coming back, coming back,
I’ll keep on coming on back to you
You say come back, I run back
Tell me baby that you’ll come back too

I’ll be coming back, coming back
I keep on coming back every time
You say come back, I run back
I’m a Corona baby you’re my lime

I’ll keep coming back, coming back,
I’ll keep on coming on back to you
You say come back, I run back
Tell me baby that you’ll come back too
