Song Review: “Heaven By Now” by True Tales | A Rock Discovery

Music Review:

“On “Heaven By Now,” True Tales lean into the kind of uplifting rock sincerity that feels increasingly rare without slipping into nostalgia bait. The melody carries a bright, almost weightless warmth, dissolving tension as the track unfolds with effortless momentum. Its vocals radiate charm and unforced optimism, transforming emotional release into something communal rather than performative. Beneath the polished hooks, the rhythm section injects enough drive to keep the song moving with purpose, turning its positivity into propulsion. It’s the sound of a band choosing hope without sanding away the raw edges that make it believable.”

Lyrics of True Tales – Heaven By Now

Travelin’ on a jet plane headin’ west
Lately I been a-rearrangin’ the weight upon my chest
When somewhere over North Dakota
Dreams of you lighten my load
Of Shakespeare on the fire escape
Oh, Lord above, don’t make me wait
If I could just get back to you somehow
Hell, we’d be in Heaven by now

Heaven by now
Heaven by now
Heaven by now
Heaven by
If I could just get back to you somehow
We’d be in heaven by now

It’s a wonder that we didn’t burn the
Whole place down around us
But the crepuscule sure ain’t left us
Where the midnight found us
But one thing that I’ve learned
About this thing that we call time
Is to a cello in the moonlight
It don’t travel in straight lines
If I could just get back to you somehow
Hell, we’d be in Heaven by now

Heaven by now
Heaven by now
Heaven by now
Heaven by
If I could just get back to you somehow
We’d be in heaven by
We’d be in heaven by now

Oh, I don’t know how I found you
Why I ever let you go
If I get my arms back around you
I ain’t ever lettin’ go
I could live a thousand lifetimes
And die a thousand too
Heaven was a place on earth when I had you
Heaven was a place on earth when I had you
So if I could just get back to you somehow
Hell, we’d be in Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by now (I’ll believe in Heaven someday)
Heaven by
If I could just get back to you somehow
We’d be in Heaven by
We’d be in Heaven by now
