JohnSam – Time
(Spotify)

Artist said about this song: "Shortly before I started writing the song, I had just lost some people who meant the world to me. And in my grief, I tried to find someone to blame. I chose time itself and directly confront it in this song. "Why did you run?" "Was I too ungrateful growing up?". I am searching for answers on why I lost them and why their time had to end. But deep down I already know that I'm the one to blame for that. Because I should have spent and enjoyed more time with them as I had the chance. It took me too long to realise that Time is actually a friend of mine and did not appreciate it enough."

It came up to life some time ago in a short moment when I realized that probably I will never see again that girl I have met briefly and completely by chance travelling, far far away from home. It is the second single promoting new EP 'Selfless' coming in May 2020 and it is probably the most beautiful waltz that I have ever written.

"Get Down" is a track that particularly blends the style of Jamaican Dance Hall dialect with the flavored percussion of Afro-beats with a touch of Latino influence. This combination makes the track easy to dance to as well as sing along due to it's easy to understand chorus, even for those who do not speak the dialect. Please enjoy!
