“SYMMETRY” is the 10th single of Berlin-based electronic duo “VERBOTEN BERLIN“ (“forbidden berlin”), they combine analogue instruments, classic songwriting and “Neo-KRAUT” with Berlin club music culture and already had live bookings in Italy, Poland and Germany.

As individual musicians they have already remixed/produced artists such as: Lana Del Rey, Wankelmut, Metronomy, The DO, Booka Shade, Robot Koch, 2Raumwohnung etc... and have released on club labels such as Get Physical Music & DIYnamic Music.

Through their innovative music jam sessions and short videos on INSTAGRAM they have amassed over 26k followers organically and have an international loyal following, which is highly engaged. (over 3k comments alone on their key posts)

Verboten Berlin also has over 6M views of their v ideos on IG and especially the song “SYMMETRY” with almost 1M views on IG is an absolute fan-favorite and shows all positive signs of a “key song” for the duo.
For the main single version they collaborated with super-producer Jochen Naaf, who currently enjoys international success with the band GIANT ROOKS and also produced hits for acts such as: Bosse, Hundreds, Polarkreis 18 etc..
Quote of Jochen Naaf: “I’ve known Alex (singer of Verboten Berlin) since years and have always been a fan of his soulful voice. When they showed me the song, I immediately had a vision to do my own version. “Symmetry” has these magic moments and already feels like an “instant classic”. I loved playing around and combining the electronic elements with the more organic sounds of this masterpiece! “

In addition, Verboten Berlin has already worked with with many heavyweights of the electronic scene and their songs have been remixed by artists such as: Booka Shade, Rodriguez Jr., Tube & Berger, Monkey Safari, Aparde, Fejka (of Christian Löfflers KI Records) and also received playlist support by Spotify in key editorial playlists such as: New Music Friday, Electronic Rising, Low Key Tech, Afterhours...

The Verboten guys decided to also release their own special club version of SYMMETRY,
which they also perform live and has a different unique approach:

Musically the Club Remix starts with a electronic bell and some deep drums, it then slowly builds the atmospheric vibe by adding synth brass and arpeggiated Prophet sounds that interact with some light vocal chops.
After the vocals fade in for the breakdown, the tension keeps rising with the main vocal and some percussion and ramps before the full massive beat drops back in, right on point with the high chorus chants.
At this peak moment a syncopated synth line enters the picture and keeps pushing the remix forward with reverbs and detuned FX sounds before the song fades into the deep...

Lyrically the song examines the concept of “Symmetry”, how symmetry can transform things intobeauty, howtolookforthesubtledetails: “Whatyoulookatisnotwhatitseems....”

Stayhomie — I can do it for you (feat. Snezhik) (Video)

Categories: Electronica, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , , |

“Cool and loose-limbed piece of art, ideal for your ears. Do you need to isolate from the daily madness? Just pick up your headphones and adjust the volume level. Concentrate on the slow beat and let the singer’s charming voice lift you in the clouds.”

-Nagamag.com

Stayhomie presents a music video for his single “I Can Do It For You”. Its footage was shot by photographer Luis Quintero at the mass of a religious community in Panama. These visually powerful video clips inspired Max Kubbe (a.k.a. Stayhomie) to put them together to make one whole story with a stunning climax.

Single “I Can Do It For You” is taken from the debut album “Random Heartbreaking Memories vol. 1”. Album features several vocalists from different parts of the world: Grisly Faye, Bark Bark Disco, Snezhik, Neon Lights, Bew Nalance.

Stayhomie: “There are two selves inside of me. One of them looks toward melancholic experimental sound, the other one infinitely loves aesthetics of the 90’s, ultramelodism and sentimental pop-phrasing. You can find both of them on this album”.

Stayhomie is an electronic producer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Ultramelodism, patchwork of voice samples, vintage synthesizers and Roland 808.

Dardust x Benny Benassi – WITHIN ME (Radio Edit) (Video)

Categories: Electronica, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , , |

“Enjoy the fresh work of Dardust, which has all you need to relax while staying active at the same time. Progressive, electronic, soft and mesmerizing melodies form the basic core of this stunning result. Congratulations!”

-Nagamag.com

– “Within Me” unites two very different Italian artists whose combined talents have created something even greater than the sum of their parts. Dardust collides the worlds of minimalist piano composition and ambient electronica, a mix that simultaneously echoes Max Richter, Philip Glass and Aphex Twin. Meanwhile, no introduction is needed for Grammy award-winner Benny Benassi, the electro house pioneer who regularly packs festivals and amasses millions of streams all over the world.

The result is something refreshingly different yet entirely in tune with their backgrounds. “Within Me” opens with Dardust’s captivating piano, which captures a melody as immediately infectious as anything from the world of pop while expressing an atmosphere both beautiful and evocative. Set alone, it’s serene, but Benny Benassi’s dynamic drops and restless beats fire it into the dancefloor. What follows is two artists challenging each other to reach new heights, both weaving between and complementing each other’s creativity. Listen HERE.

Dardust commented, ““Within me” is the opposite side of “Without You”, the most intimate and romantic track of the latest album “Storm and Drugs”. When I met Benny, we decided to contaminate it with his own world, looking out for something that would create an even stronger contrast with the original version. The song that came out of that could be considered as “Melodic Techno”, a romantic and magical club track that exasperates the simplicity and outrightness of the original version.”

Benny Benassi added, “I’ve always appreciated Dardust’s magical touch as a pianist and as a producer, so when the idea of making a progressive track together with a melodic piano part came about I was really excited to do it. It was amazing we were able to film it in the empty Verona Arena during the lockdown, too. That was a crazy experience!”

Dardust always wanted to push boundaries in music. Classically trained from a young age, his passion for music was equally inspired by everything from Kraftwerk to Underworld. He became a sought-after producer, scoring countless Platinum records and 500 million streams for his work with internationally successful Italian artists such as Mahmood, Sfera Ebbasta, Jovanotti and Ghali.

Throughout this era, one idea remained constant: could he reinvent classical music with an intergalactic vibe in a similar way to how David Bowie reimagined pop? It’s something he’s strived to achieve, from his debut album 7 in 2015 to last year’s ambitious S.A.D. Storm And Drugs (Artist First/Sony Music Masterworks), which set 18th-century classical piano within the 90s Manchester club scene.

In a career spanning thirty years, the iconic Benny Benassi has risen from an underground club DJ to a multi-million-selling producer. He shot to international success in 2003 with “Satisfaction”, a global hit that peaked at #2 in the UK with the help of an unforgettable video. That star status was confirmed with the release of his debut album, “Hypnotica”.

Since then, Benassi has accomplished countless major achievements. His tracks, such as the Chris Brown collab “Beautiful People” and “Cinema” (with Gary Go) reached huge audiences as he became a major attraction at Coachella, EDC, Ultra, Tomorrowland and countless others. He earned a Grammy for his remix of Public Enemy’s “Bring The Noise” and another when Skrillex remixed “Cinema”. He remains an in-demand collaborator and remixer for a new wave of major artists, including Lil Yachty, Yxng Bane and Jeremih.

“Misaidu comes with a great surprice for our ears. Follow the harmonic flow of "Shinobi" with the various chilling melodies and Psydub core. A wise selection that fits in every situation.”

-Nagamag.com

Shinobi is an organic electronic track divided in two main parts. The first one is dark and enigmatic, led by a deep pad and sharp glitchy drums. All the suspense developped in the first part is resolved when the track opens itself in the second part, wich reveals a dreamy downtempo track !

Misaïdu

A fraternal duo created by Thomas and Nicolas Beau, Misaidu stands out with its hybrid music. Through "Tiger Lily" and "How To Change", featured on U.BABA Vol.1, and a single titled "Half Light", we discover a generous and powerful sound, with multiple influences, sonorities and textures. This is no accident.

On the influences side of things, both brothers have bathed into the CDs, cassettes or vinyls of their parents. Quickly, they became independent music lovers and soaked up many genres ranging from hip hop to metal, from house to jazz and IDM.

The variety of processes sculpts the landscape of Misaidu’s music. The duo mixes sampling, analog and digital synthesis, drum machines and acoustic instruments such as bass or piano. The result is a colorful and bewitching electronic music and the duo wishes first and foremost to share their emotions and love for electronic music.

Konchord – Drowsy Dawn (Video)

“Konchord delivers a nice electronic piece; Drowsy Dawn with characteristic bouncy bass and overdriven melodies straight from his liveset. Enjoy the uniqueness of sound in a pleasant six-minute break.”

-Nagamag.com

At the intersection of slow melodic techno and psychedelic rock is where Konchord takes the listeners on a flight with soulful electronic music. Sometimes soft and tender, sometimes dark and deep, sometimes as bright as the sun, always with an inner compass for harmony and balance. With driving basslines, atmospheres as deep as space, synth melodies for the mind to fly high, and a hint of playful weirdness, Konchord’s music can evoke feelings of travelling through far distant galaxies in a neon light disco-spaceship.

For his live performances he plays with live synths, keys and vocals, while keeping the space for improvising on the fly.

“True epic production far from the typical sounds. "Ex Nihilo" meaning out of nothing, make us think of how can it be to form so many things from scratch. Truly amazing mix from a higher level of creation.”

Everything formed out of Nothing. This is beyond understanding, because there are no opposites.
A cinematic track with a darksynth vibe.
