‘One More Time' introduces a series of regular releases by Joost Laméris in 2022. An acoustic version of ‘One More Time’, accompanied by a video, will drop on all streaming platforms in late April. Two more singles are to drop afterwards. By then, listeners have a clear idea of the sound of his debut EP, which will be released afterwards.
‘One More Time’ is a song that draws attention to romanticising the past and future, rather than living in the present-day. “I think nowadays almost everyone struggles to live in the moment. We’re all so consumed with achieving future goals and romanticising the past. With ‘One More Time’, I try to describe that it’s easy to stay in this loop of avoiding the present. It’s a pattern that I personally try to break, and the first step to that is becoming aware of it,” Joost Laméris explains about ‘One More Time’. “I hope that ‘One More Time’ can help listeners feel less alone in difficult times and reassure them knowing that there are many people struggling to let go of past situations.” ‘One More Time’ is written by Joost Laméris alongside Sarah Donkers and Tim de Boer (Twee dB Music).
