“Carefully composed melodies with lyrics from an experienced singer. Townsend drives you up to his point of view in an expressive way of singing. Just sit back and relax!”

This song is about the post-breakup-hookups that usually happen for a few months after a relationship ends. It's hard to just stop seeing each other completely and usually both parties play a role in instigating. In my case, even though both of us were guilty of texting each other the "come over" text, I couldn't help but feel responsible.

The balance between both genres is reflected through the music video and lyricisms as African culture is merged with Western clothing and the track includes a mixture of English and Yoruba.

No Worries’ is taken off Vector and Mastaa’s collaborative project ‘CROSSROADS’. The five-track EP spearheads the partnership between Afrobeats and rap. The pair use their rhythm and poetry to construct a different narrative over traditional African beats. They also open up the gate to the whole diaspora as their sound reflects the music derived from numerous countries and their music becomes the playground to where they unite.

Their project ‘CROSSROADS’ is a seamless blend between traditional rap and more a rhythmic and melodic sound. They have also teamed up with DJs on two occasions, which of course includes DJ Magnum on ‘No Worries’, as well as DJ Neptune on ‘Eyan Colgate’. Having developed their artistry as individual acts ‘CROSSROADS’ documents the moment where Vector and Mastaa’s creative paths meet.

INEZ ”In a Minute” (Official music Video) (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“The new composition -In a Minute- by INEZ is unique and draws into the imagination of her listeners a huge, inimitable world. Intoxicating rhythm like a glass of wine, languid, penetrating into the very depths of the soul and heart of the vocal performer with an amazing story that can be laid down in the infinity of time.”

“Композиция In a Minute от INEZ уникальна тем, когда всего один сингл рисует в воображение его слушателей огромный, неподражаемый мир автора. Опьяняющий словно бокал вина ритм, томный, проникающий в самую глубь души и сердца вокал исполнительницы и удивительная история, которую можно уложить в бесконечность неповторимых минут.”

In some instances all it takes is one moment before you don’t recognize yourself. You’re riding a horse trough the desert of Arizona and suddenly you find yourself sitting opposite a stranger that is yourself. With their song “In a Minute” INEZ look closer at the crossroads as live presents them to us. Front woman Ines Brodbeck wishes herself to “another place without time” and takes a dive into a pool (of sound and water, that is).

In the water pomegranates float around, a symbol of fertility, and in the music itself reverbchambers open up to new dimensions. “My time will be mine” sings Brodbeck and sounds as timeless as sublime. In the jangly guitars we catch an earful of Ennio Morricone and in the crimson cloak a glimpse of David Lynch. And then she inserts a jack cable into the pomegranate – and there goes an explosion of sound and colour.

Ivory Woods – Levees (Timberline 002) (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Levees from Ivory Woods is not your average guitar focus vocal song. wins you on first seconds with his soft as cloud or air atmospheric vocal performance and beautiful lyrics. The guitar line follows gently and right recorded, erupting this blend into a unique minimal beauty. A beauty which is hard to define without listen, is something that comes from inside. ”

-Nagamag.com

Levees is part two of the series of home recordings called Timberline. The series is to fill gaps between official releases and the songs are all recorded in my bedroom with my dog sleeping at my feet, no professional engineering. Mainly acoustic guitar and vocals, nothing fancy, I aim for plain beauty on these tunes. Hope you like it and I would appreciate it if you chose to share it on your media!

Formed by Finnish singer-songwriter Jussi Alamikkelä, Ivory Woods reached the ears of its indie folk audience in 2017 with their debut album Ivory Woods. The album consisted of songs from the previous couple of years and was put together with help from producer Matias Kiiveri and fellow musicians Atte Loponen, Jeremia Kangas, Matias Haataja, Aapo-Matti Puhakka and Joni Seppänen. It presented a unique combination of solitary, nature inspired folk songs with deeply contemplative lyrics and the band’s built-in rock n’ roll flow that had been bringing them together for years.

The group headed back to Hollywood House studios, Helsinki, in November 2017 to record their second release, All the World Is Yours EP, which was released in February 2018.

After focusing on touring, writing new material and launching an unofficial series of home recordings called Timberline, the band released their newest single Flickering Light with b-side Sanctuary in early 2020. The release presented Ivory Woods in their current 9-piece form with six guitars. The sound keeps on growing.

Ovie – One More Time (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Not in the right mood? Hit play on the new single of Ovie , -One More Time- through Universal Music Ireland, and be sure will fix your mood as the right medicine.
A sound pill that not hurts to take it one more time, or more times. Beautiful beats and soulful vocals erupting to a sweet upbeat vibe! ”

-Nagamag.com

Following the success of his first single ‘Dublin Girl’, Ovie (oh-vee-ay) returns with his new single ‘One More Time’, an addicting Pop, RnB and Afrobeat record written about not knowing what you have until its gone.

While it has been almost 12 months since the release of Dublin Girl, and certainly a different year for most, Ovie has been busy creating and directing while also reflecting on the release of his debut single “It was really positive. Even now people are still messaging me about that [Dublin Girl] song. I was very happy. If I can't control the outcome, I just focus on making the track as good as it can be, the video as good as it can be. I realise that there's an element of hard work and an element of luck. You can't control the luck, only the hard work so I just do that bit to the best of my ability and hope it pays off”.

A producer, video director, and writer that centres powerful and emotive song writing at the forefront of all of his music, ‘One More Time’ was written alongside Jay Pizzle, and captures the idea that while someone might seem to have it all, they are not necessarily happy.

Talking about the new single, Ovie explains “The first two lines of the song are ‘I wish I knew then what I know now, I didn't see clear but see now’. Lyrically I tried to be very honest. I think many people can relate to the feelings I'm describing in the song. I told the story of a guy who seemingly has everything but is unhappy because he lost what really mattered in the process of getting everything he thought mattered”

The sensational video for One More Time, premieres TBC, and is directed by Ovie.

“Production wise I wanted to create a Juxtaposition between the lyrics on paper and the vibe of the song. It's really a sad song but if you were to listen passively, I think you'd probably miss that. That's what I wanted, an honest sad song that you could dance to.

My scenes were full of muted colours, sadness, rain, lightning and rigidity and the scenes of the person I'm missing are happy, colourful, dynamic and she's dancing etc. She's what is missing, and I wanted to make that really really clear. I hope that came across…”

So if 2020 has been a different year for Ovie, it’s also been one that might well prove to be crucial in his development as an artist. It has been a year to allow him figure out who he is as an artist, to allow him to discover that feeling about music that he has never felt before, something that he is now ready to share with the world.

A top production and an explosive vocal performance which call you to stand up and groove, we know you may are not able to enjoy it full in your favorite club now due of the covid restrictions, but nothing stops you to do it in same way in your home, dance like nobody is watching! ”

“In My Zone” oozes Latin fire and energy. With sassy, fun vocals the song is infused with uplifting, catchy spanish influence and fire, dance-worthy production by the multi-platinum producer Sky Adams (Doja Cat, HRVY, Kylie Minogue, Sigala). The track is lively, and light-hearted, but the vibes of the track speak of body confidence and finding your inner power; her honesty shows people every little sentiment of who she is.
