Phil Good – Everything’s Good
(Video)

Elektra Records signee and Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Phil Good has returned with his latest single “Everything’s Good”.

“Even though I’m sarcastically saying that ‘everything’s good’ in the song, I think it’s important to be optimistic and remind yourself and those around you that things could always be much worse,” shared Phil. “You’re still here, reading this on your phone, maybe on the couch or the toilet.. who knows. But you’re alive and breathing and that alone is pretty ‘everything’s good’ right now.”

“Everything’s Good” follows Phil’s single and video “Living With No One”, which premiered on Variance Magazine in April. Earlier this year, Phil was featured on “Stuck On You”, the lead single off GRAMMY® Award-winning producer RAC’s new album Boy. Additionally, Phil released an official remix of his track “Do You Ever?” from the producer.

Last Fall Billboard announced Phil Good’s Elektra Records signing, and shared his major label debut single and music video “Wonder”. Phil’s follow-up “Do You Ever?” and its accompanying visual were premiered by Ones To Watch, who praised his “remarkable ear for tasteful synths.” Phil closed out 2019 with “Put It All On Me” which Lyrical Lemonade premiered, declaring, “Phil delivers an extremely catchy hook with his fun, charismatic energy; making it almost impossible to get out of your head.” Converting audiences to fans on the road, Phil recently supported Jaymes Young on his Happiest Year North America Tour, and joined labelmate Tones and I on select United States tour dates.

Resistance Is Holy by Steven Blane
(Video)

Steven Blane is a Pop-Americana Jazz infused Singer-Songwriter in the style of Leonard Cohen, Billy Joel, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Billy Bragg and Neil Diamond

He is inspired by Elvis, Roy Orbison and Chris Isaac and plays guitar, ukulele and piano. He self-produces his work and gigs constantly in NYC and South Florida.

During this Corona Virus Pandemic, he has been journaling his experience by writing and producing songs/videos of his take on the pandemic. One of his lyrics was featured in an article in Vanity Fare.

Among his most recent releases are a cover of Neil Young’s “After the Goldrush,” a song version of Robert Frost’s “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” and Alfred Noyes’ classic poem “The Highwayman,” a Passover EP, a chill electro-pop track entitled “Dumbo” and an inspirational pop ballad called “Fly Again.”

Blane just released a five-song acoustic EP entitled “Dancing With The Angles.” it is a full-on acoustic guitar-driven fiddle-filled Americana project.

He also produced a brand new album, entitled “Sweet Dreams” which features eleven tracks of chill electro jazz-infused pop.

In 2019 he released a Hanukkah EP as well as a brand new Christmas song, First Christmas! The six song EP, “Hanukah” includes five traditional Hanukkah songs with new English interpretations and a song entitled “A Little Light” which he wrote years ago, when he was a Hebrew School teacher.

In the style of so many Jewish songwriters who have written wonderful Christmas songs, “First Christmas” is about the very first time you bring your partner home to meet family and friends. Blane also produced a video for “First Christmas.” FIRST CHRISTMAS VIDEO.

That’s not Blane’s first foray into writing Christmas songs. His 2015 recording of “We’re Gonna Light the Lights Tonight” is another joyful musical celebration of the holiday season.

Clearly on a Keto charged roll, Blane has produced a brand new album, entitled “Sweet Dreams” which will be released in Jan., 2020. It features eleven tracks of chill electro jazz infused pop.

He also has a five song acoustic EP in the can. Entitled “Dancing With The Angles,” it is full-on acoustic guitar driven fiddle filled Americana.

Another recent album, “I Walk Alone,” is a collection of songs that Blane wrote and produced. He played all the instruments, recorded, mixed and mastered everything. It is an album comprised 60’s Rock & Roll, jazz tinged story songs.

The Huffington Post wrote, “Stylistically, Blane fits in the Americana category. But there’s more going on in his music than simply Americana. There’s a pop influence in there, along with a 1950’s rock vibe that gives his sound a unique signature. It’s much different from the usual run-of-the-mill stuff most bands turn out today.”

Of Blane’s previous recent album “So New York,” Seattle PI wrote, “So New York is grand! The album is full of vintage jazz/pop aromas giving off tantalizing wisps of elusive familiarity similar to the heady music of the ’40s and ’50s. Steven Blane’s voice is deliciously deluxe, full of lush tones.”

Prior to that Steven produced an album entitled “Motel Blue.” That album was recorded in Nashville and Produced by Blane. It features amazing Rachel Horter on many of the songs, fantabulous Fiddler Ross Holmes, Bass Player Kevin Hailey and Drummer Frank Levatino. “I’m so proud of that album. It’s just so real- organic- everything done in one take.”

Prior to that, Steven released four other albums. “I Confess” was produced by White Heart core member Billy Smiley and recorded in Nashville, and his Lake Worth, Florida recorded-in-a-shed album, “The Shed Sessions” received excellent reviews and airplay on Radio Stations across the country.

Steven is also a Cantor and a Rabbi. Here is a link to recordings of his High Holiday Services at The Bitter End in NYC.

Runaway – Original Song by Svea Lyon
(Video)

Runaway is a song which total produced and performed from Svea Lyon speaking about of running away with your soul mate with her warm soft vocals that will tickle your ears.

Few words about Svea Lyon:

Had it not been for a man with an American flag eye patch and an acoustic guitar Svea Lyon (Suh-vay-uh) (Lee-own) may have never started singing. Mr. Woody was her first-grade music teacher, and the first person to recognize her innate talent for performing. One day in class he asked for a student to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Since no one else raised their hand Svea broke the silence and started to sing. Mr. Woody told her she had a beautiful voice and to keep on singing.

Fast forward ten years and Svea heads Mr. Woody’s advice by singing every chance she gets. Although it has been some time since she last sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star she continues to write about everything from the sky to clementines. She plays piano and guitar and aims to write a new song every week. Artists like Fiona Apple, Alicia Keys, Stevie Nicks, and Stevie Wonder inspire her. She lives in Los Angeles, with her little sister and mom. Aside from music Svea likes to read, watch the Office, and drink tea with cats.

Altamullan Road – Underwater
(Video)

Gearing up for the release of their mesmerizing debut album due in
the fall of 2020, Altamullan Road, fronted by the sublime voices of
Johanna Kurkela and Johanna Iivanainen already gave us a peek
into their world of wonders with their 1st single “When It’s Time”.

There may be no return after the 2nd, saturnine “Underwater”.
With “Underwater” the supernatural sisters paint a gloomy picture
of a deathwish bittersweetly mixing with hope. A musical canvas
resounding with echoes, the song is sparsely colored with firm,
broad strokes and eerie harmonies. The song weaves an intricate
network of gossamer melodies and submerges the listener in
gothic, melancholic bliss. As light and airy as the singing appears at
the outset, the lyrical message lies clandestine, anticipating just
below the monochrome surface for you to dive in.

“Underwater” is a pensive tide, lying in wait to wash over you.
Altamullan Road is the silent wail of angels becoming the darkness,
the grief of waning memories and the faint flickering of candles in
the dark.
