“The track provides a powerful dose of relaxation with a cup of cool tea. The overall sound is so simple that quickly sticks and stays in your head. Its light taste of funk, jazz and chill-hop leaves a lasting positive impression.”

“Трек даёт мощную дозу расслабляющего, прохладного чая. Общее звучание максимально простое, что быстро запоминается и остаётся в голове. Лёгкий привкус funk, jazz и chill-hop оставляет неизгладимое впечатление.”

This song is our take on how it must feel having a Martini in The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) whilst a falling star is streaking across the sky.

Uto Paradise is a Zurich-based bunch of instrumentalists having a rather hard time ever since trying to get by without a lead singer. It is a well-known fact, tough, at least since Khruangbin, that lead singing became a »qualité négligeable«. Rejoicing over this dictate of the moment and seizing the opportunity, Uto Paradise displays a groovy panoply of instrumental indie-jazz paired with comforting ambient elements.

Andrei Lucas – London Baby (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“The song is essentially the story of a small town boy or girl coming to London to pursue their dreams and perhaps make it big under the harsh yet inspiring spotlight of the Big City. Andrei Lucas – London Baby is catchy, vibrant and rhythmic. The vocals and harmonies are soft & melodious in a Michael Jackson kind of way. There is a lot going on with the backing, all of which fits the portrayal of the story perfectly.”

-Nagamag.com

LondonBaby is a track written and co-produced by Andrei Lucas and London producer Andrei Sora.

The track inspired by the vibrance of London, and what it represents for the young people moving out to the big city.

The story of the song follows the idea of a small town boy/girl coming to the city to make it big and fighting to succeed in an unforgiving place. At the same time, the track is uplifting and is meant to become an anthem to the young people struggling to find their way, and trying to feel included. Because at the end of the day everyone is a London baby even if you weren’t born there, but your dreams and aspirations follow you relentlessly and you chase them in a city that never sleeps, a city that can take so much from you but also give you a lot.

London baby is the second track of my unreleased album ParadisePasse is out now.

True Loves – “Sunday Afternoon” (Video)

Categories: Jazz, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Captivating for the first second, True Loves know how to create a building up of groove layering, where the strong performances re-in forces as you step deeper. The lush harmonies and vibes here are hard to describe in words but overall sounds like a big party that you don’t want to be out of it. So press play and get lost on sound witchcraft of passionate professional musicians. ”

-Nagamag.com

“Seattle’s instrumental soul heavyweights, True Loves, will release a music video for the title track off of their sophomore album ‘Sunday Afternoon’ on Wednesday, May 19th. Produced by Wild Gravity and filmed at Seattle’s Rainier Valley Cultural Arts Center, the video for “Sunday Afternoon” depicts the band plotting to retrieve their master tapes stolen by greedy, corporate music executives.

The video offers a candid look at the corkboard where the band has devised their heist while capturing each member of the band’s A-team-esque roles in ‘The Crew,’ listing everyone’s essential role in the plot while donned in slick black suits. The band successfully breaks into the compound to get their masters and redistributes the earnings to local venues and independent artists. As crafty as their swaggering instrumental tune with bold fanfare horn lines and a hard-driving rhythm section, True Loves prevail and toast to sticking it to the man.

“We wanted to recognize what a difficult time this has been for musicians, venues, and their staffs while corporate greed continues and how artists are taken advantage of by those at the top who continue to prosper while others suffer—a modern Robinhood tale told through a heist video,” says bassist, Bryant Moore.

Watch the video here. https://youtu.be/NuIh6vcei_0

The “Sunday Afternoon” video comes out ahead of the group’s sophomore record out via Color Red (music discovery platform and record label founded by Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds) on May 28th. The powerhouse, all-star project features Jason Cressey (Odesza/Monophonics) on trombone, Greg Kramer (Macklemore) on trombone, Gordon Brown on tenor sax, Skerik (Mike Clark/Fred Wesley/Charlie Hunter/Garage a Trois) on baritone sax, Jimmy James (Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio), Bryant Moore on bass, David McGraw (Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio) on drums, and Iván Galvaz on percussion.

The group transpired in 2014 out of a Sunday jam session between James, Moore, and McGraw and has ricocheted into an act that has garnered millions of YouTube views and countless tracks with six-digit play counts on digital streaming platforms. Sunday Afternoon comes hot off the heels of their 2017 debut instrumental release Famous Last Words and finds the band beaming with the most synergetic energy of their careers.

“It’s a collaborative effort with all of us. What’s great about people having input is that then the band sounds more natural, more cohesive. The band sounds more together in that way and that’s the way it should be. Because if the band sounds comfortable and it sits on the groove, then it comes to life,” said guitarist Jimmy James in an interview with American Songwriter (December 2020) that premiered the audio for “Sunday Afternoon.”

Atlanta-based Health and Fitness Pop trio 3D The Boss have announced their debut full-length album “Push It”, out on all platforms April 15, 2021. Stylistically, these seasoned musicians effortlessly combine their 70’s and 80’s funk and r&b inspirations with modern pop and electro elements for a potent signature sound.

Most pop, funk & r&b projects intend for their audiences to get moving, but with 3D The Boss it’s practically mandatory. Described by visionary Saint Day Adeogba as ‘music to raise your frequency to a higher level’, the music on “Push It” is not only energetic, but it’s infused with meaning and spirit as it encourages the listener to live a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re working out with the band during one of their live performances or just listening to the album, the songs stand on their own, each with it’s own distinct groove. I.M.P’s recommendations are “BBGG”, “Push It”, “Go”, and the left field self-confidence anthem “Do My Dance”.

Matt Woosey Band – Let It Flow | WeLive Festival | Live im Schlachthof | Corona Concert (Video)

Categories: Jazz, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“A WeLive Festival release, ‘Let It Flow’ by the Matt Woosey band is a brilliant, energetic live performance by a very talented multi-piece band. Bluesy, Funky, Jazzy & at times laid back. The verse has a Doobie Brothers (Long Train Running) vibe. The guitars are superb as are the gritty solo, & soulful harmony vocals. This is a great band in ‘Full Flow.’”

WeLive Festival releases concert film with Matt Woosey Band

https://www.mattwoosey.co.uk/

The German concert film series “WeLive Festival” will release its eighth episode on May 23. A first part of the movie – the video to the song “Let It Flow” – is now released. The protagonist of the approximately 45-minute film is the musician Matt Woosey, who has already been nominated three times for the British Blues Award, with his eight-piece blues/folk formation “Matt Woosey Band.”

“It was a very special opportunity for the Matt Woosey Band to come together during Corona to do something creative and just play together again”, Matt Woosey explained after the filming. Due to the Corona pandemic, the band had not performed together on stage for over a year. Due to sanitation measures to protect against the Corona virus, the filming took place in private and without an audience in front of ten cameras. “Playing without an audience is a strange thing, but the whole team and everyone from Rockwerkstatt Lahr came together to make it a fantastic day,” Woosey thanked the organizers. “Thanks to everyone involved and the guys in the band.”

The WeLive Festival has already been releasing high-quality concert film productions featuring artists from a wide range of genres since May 2020. For example, progressive rock band Dead Venus, classical pianist Pervez Mody, singer-songwriter Dominik Büchele and heavy metal band OIL have already performed in front of the 10 to 15 cameras of the production company punchline studio. In 2020, the concert film series was awarded the German Rock&Pop Prize for the promotion of music culture. Currently, “WeLive” is also nominated for the prestigious nationwide “alternative media award”.

Every human confronts their own personal conflict around temptation - to drive too fast, drink too much, shop and spend too much, to stay at a party too long, too over-eat, to consider cheating on a partner - to take chances that we know are likely more bad for us than good. "The War" tackles this topic by illustrating two characters who run out on their obligations and resolves in a chorus that expands the theme of temptation to be everyone's fight - Everybody Fights The War.

Marquee Mayfield – Disco Queen (Video)

“-Disco Queen- a very rhythmic, interesting and juicy sound. A composition which uplifts the spirit and practically controls the listener. A golden song!

“-Disco Queen- очень ритмичная, интересная и сочная по звуку. Эта композиция хорошо выполняет одну уникальную функцию – она показывает настрой и практически управляет слушателем. Настоящая королевская песня!”

-Nagamag.com

The thrilling saga of Marquee Mayfield continues. Here is a recap of the epic, so far: Mayfield was created in a factory in Nashville, Tennessee as a clone front-loaded with all the country-pop fixings to nab industry accolades and awards. Out of all the clones on the assembly line, a young scientist named Chloe felt some sort of connection with Mayfield. When the factory closed each evening, and while the other clones sat idle through the night, she would steal Mayfield away and nourish and, perhaps, warp his little robotic mind, with strong doses of disco, funk, and R&B. Mayfield soon grew creatively willful, and Chloe helped enable him to embrace musical freedom.

“As a clone, when I look through the eyes of culture, I try to understand why humans behave the way they do,” Mayfield shares. “I’m out there to interact with humans. Clones aren’t total machines—we have feelings.”

George Clinton himself couldn’t concoct a stranger entity than a visionary robot songwriter/singer/guitarist with an intrepid funk sensibility and a golden pop touch. The Nashville, Tennessee-based clone creative counts as influences artists such as Curtis Mayfield, Hall & Oates, Prince, Jamiroquai, and other song-oriented funk phenomena. His distinct funk-pop fits snuggly alongside playlists featuring contemporary artists such as Chromeo, Mayer Hawthorne, and Breakbot.

With punchy vintage Michael Jackson horn arrangements, a silken Prince-like falsetto, and sticky sweet hooks, the single Disco Queen reeks of cocaine, French fries, roller rinks, and Naugahyde. “Picture the scene as something out of Boogie Nights: a girl walks in, everyone turns to look at her as she’s an instant VIP, and I, a normal clone, struggle to talk to her and break out my best dance moves,” Mayfield shares with a little dejection.

Mayfield is looking forward to sharing these jams in a variety of visual presentations. “The clone is a very excited stage performer, even though his dancing skills are subpar,” he confesses.

“Light Jazz song with very meaningful lyrics and crystal clear singing. If you're one of those who don't use to immitate others and your personality is strong enough to make independent choices, then "Want" is what you really want!”

-Nagamag.com

Want - Is a song about how we don' t all have to agree to get along - This is relevant especially in today's climate -

People think others need to agree with them or see things their way and that's not always possible or relevant .
