“Justin Nicholls' music is unique. It is not possible to convey the feeling of being immersed in his works in words. Wye Valley Seasons is a multi-instrumental album where living instruments are woven together like tree branches. A true therapy for body and soul.”

“Музыка Justin Nicholls уникальна. Ощущение от погружения в его произведения словами передать не представляется возможным. Wye Valley Seasons - мультиинструментальный альбом, где словно ветви деревьев сплетены воедино живые инструменты. Настоящая терапия для души и тела.”

Winter (Dancing Into Sleep) is the third movement from Wye Valley Seasons, an exciting new pastural Jazz symphony. This piece was Inspired by the changing seasons of the Wye Valley which has been the composers home for the past 18 years. This 40 minute epic takes us on a breathtaking, kaleidoscopic journey into nature. As emotive as it is colourful, this high energy piece packs a punch live on stage and will unify audiences of all ages and musical tastes. Its aim is to reconnect us to nature through rhythm, melody and harmony. It received a rapturous response at its debut performance in August 2019 at the Pygmy Pinetum summer concert in Gloucestershire.

Justin says: This is my four seasons. Pulsing rhythms, rich saxophones & woodwinds, grooving bass, guitar & piano and lush tribal voices. This is my musical interpretation of the Wye Valley’s ever-changing light, colour and energy throughout the year. Living here has been a constant source of inspiration and renewal for me. This music is dedicated to Terry & Beryl Ellis - dear friends much missed and true natives of this magical river valley.

This melancholic piano track has the vibe of heartbreak.
The ambiance of this piece represents letting go of something of value or a loved one.
It's a necessary decision that you put off too long, but now ready to be at peace with.
There is hope in the future. No matter how much it hurts right now, it's for the best.

Florejan Verschueren – Where Days End (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“There is such an expression - an amazing one. Joseph Shabason and his composition The Fellowship directly refers to him. An unpretentious, light and madly soulful work.”

“Есть такое выражение - удивительное рядом. Joseph Shabason и его композиция The Fellowship непосредственно относится к нему. Незатейливое, лёгкое и до безумия душевное произведение.”

-Nagamag.com

Florejan Verschueren (°1978) lives in Belgium together with his wife and their four children. He has been passionate about music ever since he was knee-high to a grashopper, and has been roaming the city and Belgium with numerous musical projects, in different styles.

At home he finds peace in his music room. The grand piano - a gift from his granddad to his father - adds a dash of grandeur to the room. This is Florejan’s musical sanctuary, a place that allows him to submerge himself into reverie. The trees outside follow the rhythm of the seasons, and set the pace at which Florejan composes new music. Harmony and balance. This has led to 'Piano Piano', an album that embraces rest and contemplation. It is process of growth, part of the cycle of life. It should not surprise anyone that the working title for 'Piano Piano' was 'WINTER', a season that breathes resourcing and reflection.

Florejan has stripped every composition to the bone, to the bare essence of the song. It has been an exercise in letting go and a quest for finding beauty and purity. Seemingly easy listening, the melodies conceal a profound richness. Each song is a trip, telling a story with many layers.

Who else but illustrator Sassafras De Bruyn could provide this album with the right images? It was a match made in heaven: beautiful drawings as a perfect answer to the multi-layered music.

'Piano Piano' is a very personal record and shows a part of Florejan that not many people have already discovered. The album will be released end of november 2019

ÜUCE – Whiteout (feat. Michele) // Ambient, Trance Piano, Psybient, Relaxing (Video)

“”Whiteout” is an Ambient piece perfectly made for the cold Winter days. There is nothing better than a warm, relaxing piano sound while snowing outside. A special experience even for the most selective listeners.”

The felt piano was given a lush sound by adding a tape delay and and putting a very wet reverb on the delay. My wife, Michele, vocalized throughout the song and that was also modulated. The various sound waves and walls were created using a KORG MicroKORG and a KORG Minilogue.

Tomas Raae – Montségur (Spotify)

“Live, wind instruments always affect a person in a special way. The atmospheric Montségur track intoxicating melody sounds DUDUK like smoldering candle flame in the night. Tomas Raae plunges into suspended animation, music that will hypnotize you.”

“Живые, духовые инструменты всегда воздействуют на человека особым способом. В атмосферном треке Montségur звучит опьяняющая мелодия дудука, словно тлеющее пламя свечи в ночи. Tomas Raae погружает в анабиоз и мы не гарантируем, что у вас получится очнуться.”

Dark night. Just before dawn. It blows. One looks out towards the horizon but cannot see. One can hope. One can pray. One can not know. The music is also a thought from a dark night in a dark story from a mountain in the south of France.

With The Dim The Darkness Came is an ambient and cinematic album that explores silence, contemplation in the moment, spirituality, history, thoughts and visions. The aim is to create an interreligious sound universe that, through the music archives of history, creates a current sound image that invites open questions; to reflect on what gives meaning, faith and hope, and what people have previously believed in and been willing to fight for

Vega Falling is the third single from the two-part space-themed EP series, Astronomica. At the end of 2019, I spent six weeks in Costa Rica with my wife. I had traveled for mostof the year, and I was excited to spend the final days of December in a tropical paradise. There was almost no light pollution where we were staying. There weren't anystreetlights, storefronts, or restaurants that were open after dark. This meant that once the sun went down, we were inside, making dinner and washing the sand off our feet. I had a small concrete table next to the kitchen with my studio gear setup, and I would look out the skylight in the living room to see the light from the moon and stars pouring in. It wasn't hard to imagine that we were living on a distant planet, all by ourselves. It was both terrifying and comforting. This song is meant to feel like a journey to the shores of another habitable earth beyond our realm. The sound of the ocean waves at the beginning of the song was recorded on my iPhone. I captured the audio during one of our daily walks, and it still makes me feel like I'm looking out at an infinite abyss where the ocean and the sky become one.

Zenon Marko – Hope (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“Hope is very fragile and difficult to comprehend a thing than faith. Without faith a man can live forever, but not human life. Without hope he dies. Zenon Marko in its new composition Hope helped us once again to reflect on the importance of life.”

“Надежда очень хрупкая и трудная для осознания вещь, чем вера. Без веры человек может жить вечно, но не человеческой жизнью. Без надежды он погибает и вовсе. Zenon Marko в своей новой композиции Hope помог нам в очередной раз задуматься о важности бытия.”

-Nagamag.com

“Hope” is the first single from the new album “Morning Star”. “Morning Star” consists of works composed by Zenon Marko in the immediate aftermath of his mother’s death. These intentionally simple pieces were written as tribute, as meditations, as expressions of the diversity of emotions, reactions, thoughts, memories, hopes and fears that follow upon such a loss. The hope is that others who have experienced loss will feel an echo, a recognition, and perhaps find solace, within this music. All the pieces are at a tempo of 60 beats per minute, the rhythm of the second hand of a clock, to express the sense of time passing, inevitability and transience.
