"The song began with her name and a simple melody, she was an old friend who now unfortunately is no longer with us. When we were kids we shared memories and got lost in the woods and now alone I reflect on the innocence and playfulness of that childhood.

Written in my London bedroom, recalling stories of growing up in Ireland, I created an organic yet contemporary approach to a fresh folk song that whispers mystery and beauty. Luddy Dave whose real name is David Lucky Oguns, is a Nigerian recording artiste, singer, songwriter, and performer. He is from Edo state in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger-Delta region. The young and energetic performer was born in the late 80s and grew up in the ancient city of Ibadan. His style of music is AfroHybrid, a blend of several Afro genres. Luddy Dave was introduced to music at a young age and began experimenting with songwriting. He wrote several soul touching songs about events happening around him at the time.

Ça Gâte is track #3 on SUPER FREDDY's upcoming MERCURIAL EP, created in collaboration with Toronto-based Zimbabwean producer KOSI. It is the closer for this first section of the story - a story of disconnection written as a love song.

MERCURIAL will be an exploration of the themes of physical distance, diaspora and third culture experience, disconnection from one’s roots and family, as well as feelings of loss and change, presented through an Afrofuturist lens.

SUPER FREDDY is a Canadian artist of Cameroonian origin. His music blends Hip-Hop with R&B, Jazz, Soul, Afrobeats and House influences and samples in order to tell stories and travel through space.

Although he has been making music since 2008, Freddy's first foray into the music industry came in 2015 with the release of his "MTL Nights Vol. I" Mixtape, followed up by a series of Open Mic Nights and music showcases in Montreal.

After 3 years of regularly performing around the city, releasing music and collaborating with artists such as UZUAZO and E R R O R, SUPER FREDDY spent time in Brighton and London in the UK as well as New York, working on his craft along the way. Now that he has returned to Montreal, Freddy plans to keep releasing bigger and better creative projects, and wants to reach as many people as possible.

SUPER FREDDY is a part of the Ice Coast Entertainment Collective.
