Release Review: Antonia XM – Watch the world end | Pop Music

Music Review:

“On “Watch the World End,” Antonia XM finds intimacy in emotional ruin, shaping a track that feels suspended between comfort and collapse. The vocals arrive in hushed tones, fragile yet deliberate, carrying a melancholy that never begs for attention but quietly consumes it. There’s an honesty in the delivery that gives the song its gravity, as though every lyric is being revealed in real time. Around it, the warm, slow-burning melody wraps itself gently around the listener, while a lingering sense of mystery keeps the atmosphere from settling completely. The rhythm moves with calm assurance, guiding the track through shadowy emotional terrain with understated elegance.”

Lyrics of Antonia XM – Watch the world end

Yeah u say that i’m not listening
but is it really gonna fix things?
Honestly I don’t care
cause you only say what you want me to hear
And I care too much
so I know it’s not gonna be enough

Is the algorithm gonna fix me?
Through my tears the screen keeps glitching
And it seems like you don’t care
Cause you only hear what you don’t wanna hear
And I stayed somehow
Never thought you would disappear

And it hurts so much more on my own
I believed you when you said I’m not alone

And it’s all falling apart
Around us
This place is too much
Keep going back to the start
I just wanted to be your friend
Watch the world end
Yeah we watch the world end

And I don’t know what I expected
But you bailed when least suspected
Now I’m all lost
Cause there’s really no one else to trust
It’s so cold out here
All these people seem to thrive from fear
And it hurts so much more on my own
I believed you when you said you call me home

And it’s all falling apart
Around us
This place is too much
Keep going back to the start
I just wanted to be your friend
Watch the world end
Yeah we watch the world end
