Single Review: B.Miles – Too Close To The Flame | Listen to Pop

Music Review:

Lyrics of B.Miles – Too Close To The Flame

Verse 1:
Mmmm, didn’t know you’d slither back in town
Moving through the room like you belong
I caught the whiskey linger on your mouth
It’s the burn that pulls me back along
Used to watch me beg and arch my back
You’d salt the wound behind each aching bite
I never learned, but what’s the fun in that
Dripping jaws now the leash is tight

Chorus 1:
Called you cause I’m lonely
Now you’re at my door
Nothing tender in this story
Just matches on the floor babe
Every time that this ends
We start over the same
Can’t be mine, I’ll get burned
Getting too close to the flame

Verse 2:
Wax melting into the hush of our night
Would it burn to touch my skin
Let it set then say goodbye
In this empty bed I’m laying in
I could ignore it, but I crave the flame
Say you want it, leave the same
I’m burning like before

Chorus 2:
Called you cause I’m lonely
Now you’re at my door
Nothing tender in this story
Just matches on the floor babe
Every time that this ends
We start over the same
Can’t be mine, I’ll get burned
Getting too close

We’ve both been here before
My hands start to shake
One of us reaches for more
While the other pulls away babe
Every time that this ends
We start over the same
Can’t be mine, I’ll get burned
Getting too close to the flame

Outro:
Mmm
Cause baby I think I’m getting too close to the flame
Mmm
Cause baby I think I’m getting too close to the flame
