Pop Review: Akaba – Go North

“In “Go North,” Akaba conjures a world of passion and mystery, where the melody exerts a magnetic pull, simultaneously unsettling and enchanting. The commanding vocals lend the track an imposing presence, yet there’s a striking sensitivity in their timbre that cuts through the song’s atmospheric intensity and leaves a deeper emotional imprint. This tension between grandeur and vulnerability gives the arrangement much of its allure. When the energy surges at 1:05 and again at 2:34, the rhythm takes on a renewed urgency, propelling the track forward with an almost visceral force. ”
