Lyrics of CATBEAR – It’s Okay

(written by Zoe Konez, performed by CATBEAR)

I said yes
Too many times
No more red dress
No more straight lines
No more tongue bites

I don’t mind
Saying that wasn’t right
No more fake smiles
No more compromise
No more standing by

Forgive yourself
For now
For ever
For everything gone
It’s not fatal

It’s okay
You made it
You don’t have to prove yourself
To anyone, anyone
It’s okay
You made it
Just take up room for who comes next
And show them
It’s okay now

I arrived late
It was a different time
Alt pace lifeline
Hetnorm franchise
Right in the middle I’m

Want to hide, I
I’m just waiting to find
Have you noticed we’re all in this?
Come along for the ride

Forgive yourself
For now
For ever
For everything gone
Don’t beat yourself up

It’s okay
You made it
You don’t have to prove yourself
To anyone, anyone
It’s okay
You made it
Just take up room for who comes next
To show them
It’s okay now

It’s not as simple as
We took a different path
Still got a lot to learn
It’s okay, it’s okay now

It’s not as simple as
We took a different path
Still got a lot to learn
It’s okay, it’s okay now

It’s okay
You made it
You don’t have to prove yourself
To anyone, anyone
It’s okay
You made it
Just take up room for who comes next
To show them
It’s okay now
