Charlie Houston – Lately
“After making a first great impression with two standout EP singles, Charlie Houston returns with an even more developed sound. Her latest indie pop single “Lately” shows us a more mature artist that knows how to be a storyteller of youth with all its perks, fragility and power. And she does it in an emotional but also bold and captivating way.”

"Lately" is the new single from 22-year old Toronto artist Charlie Houston. The groovy indie pop song finds Houston reflecting on the challenges of being young, falling in love, and building a relationship while at the same time experiencing the world, searching for freedom, and discovering yourself. "Doing those two things at the same time can be really hard," says Houston. "You're young so you don’t want to sacrifice too much of yourself or what you want, but then you're also in love with someone and want it to work." Houston begins her cross-country tour supporting Charlotte Cardin on May 10th.

KØLEEN – Cold Water
“A song that speaks about getting lost and finding your way back through troubled waters. As it progresses from a slow, emotional start to a more dynamic part, the ‘cold water’ warms up with an inspiring message to dare and “jump in”, reaching its full delivery with its last drum fill and the verse “Never wanna let go”.”

Cold Water is calm and emotional in the beginning but get's very rhytmical and happy from the first hook on at 0:52. It's about about finding hope in hard situations and believing in yourself. When life throws you into cold water, you can decide to jump on your own and dive till you touch the ground. This is a song to motivate yourself to live!! You can do anything in life - just believe in yourself and never give up!

Bratři – Blocks
“Laid back, well-paced, melodic techno track with large, evolving soundscapes. “Blocks” takes its time with its buildup and break to a most satisfying result where uplifting arpeggios carry you into deliverance. The track’s clean, minimal sound and approach is where it shines.”

Electronic duo Bratři release a new house and techno track called “Blocks”. Twin brothers Jirka and Ondřej Veselý will present it live at The Great Escape festival in Brighton, England, and then at concerts in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania. "Our new single called “Blocks” is a step towards a more melodic and progressive, almost house style for us," Bratři confide. "Recently, we've been enjoying organic loops, which we cut into small pieces and then put together in a different order. We tune some of them and add various effects to them. But these tiny bits of sound then give the track a groove and a certain liveliness. And that's why the name Blocks came out :)“ Bratři are one of the most progressive projects on the Czech electronic scene and the mix of Berlin producer Hannes Bieger is adding a crown to the sound.
Bjarte Aasmul – Fare Well Captain
“Lush, melancholic electric guitars supported by well-sprinkled acoustic guitar accents and accompanied by a steady, low toned piano create a soundtrack like mood. The sonic story told with classic orchestration reminds you of your favorite romantic movies. A farewell with the eagerness for a next chapter.”

Ingvild Koksvik – Hver vår vei
“A beautifully written, guitar-based piece from the Norwegian artist that enwraps the listener in a soothing and caressing sound, with perfectly suiting vocals telling a story of the power to go on. While you may not speak Norwegian, however, you will probably still connect with the song and find it relatable due to its honest transmission and great arrangement.”

The Eska – Long Way
““I don’t wanna sound mainstream” is the outright statement with which this track kicks in and its main hook - and indeed there’s a fresh feel about it while at the same time it keeps lots of those good ingredients you’d come to expect from a solid hip-hop production of these days. The Eska seems to be an artist whose promise to catch that “big wind”will come true.”

The song kicks off with a cinematic introduction, which has a bit of a dark mood to it, but it is far from being gloomy. On the contrary, it has a mysterious weight to it, which serves as a perfect way to launch the song. Soon after, a spoken word segment chimes in, highlighting the artist’s willingness to communicate a stronger message with his lyrics from the get-go. At about 23 seconds in, the main beat blasts in, adding a massive dose of low-end and energy to the mix, but without missing out on the atmospheric sounds that made the beginning so special.
