Up and coming singer songwriter Jude Maloy is creating heartfelt music beyond his only 19 years. Jude is releasing his second single “Besides My Dreams,” a song that captures the hurt and longing of wanting to be with someone “somewhere else besides my dreams.” This release follows Jude’s first single “Hey Ma.”
After being recruited in multiple sports for college, Jude chose to chase his musical dream and is in his second year studying music composition at NYU, where he is collaborating and creating with amazing peers. He was born in Oklahoma, moving to Nashville at a young age where he has grown up with and made music with some of the most talented people in the business. Jude just performed with his band, The 6th Floor, at Bowery Electric in New York City, and has more shows scheduled in NYC and Nashville, including an upcoming show at SOB’s. Jude’s music is both relatable and genre bending in a way that is both exciting and refreshing, with certainly more to come.

PRODUCTION
Recorded 2 full days in Abbey Road Studio One, London UK with 60-piece orchestra (fiddles, strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, harp) as part of the upcoming album Norse Mythology. Norse choir (24-people strong) was recorded in Synchron Stage Vienna. The entire album is based on the creation of Cosmos and Earth according to ancient Norse myths. Composed, produced, mixed and mastered over the course of 3 years through mid-pandemic, Norse Mythology was one of the first large orchestral recordings to be made at Abbey Road Studios since lock-down in the UK.
STORY BEHIND THE SONG AND ALBUM
The single "Death of Ymir" is based on the belief that Ymir was the first original being in the cosmos and the monster ancestor of all giants. There was much hatred between the first gods and giants so when Odin, and his brothers, Vili and Ve grew up they decided to kill Ymir. This despite Ymir being their ancestor since they believed that for order to life to take place in cosmos, the original being had to die. This mournful and heroic track is about his death. In honour of the fallen giant, rain fell from the sky as tears and only then could the creation of Earth begin...

Savage The Poet is a Nuyorican Brooklyn Bred Poet, MC and Lyricist. He adopts the style and influence of 90s rappers like Biggie Smalls and The Fugees with a twist of jazzy poets like Pedro Pietri, J Cole and Jhene aiko. He is moved to use language as a catalyst for change and incorporates Afro Latino spirituality to uplift and ignite the human spirit. His name was created as a form of reinventing the negative term as it has been used oppressively throughout history toward brown bodies and their culture. Similar to his idol Tupac who gave new meaning and power to the word Thug Life. He added The Poet to remind the culture of Hip Hop of its roots in poetry and the revolutionary strength words have when used effectively. As a wordsmith, he holds the hopes and dreams of his people through the rhythm and blues of his speech.
